this anime is absolutely incredible. It’s a bit weird (yes it’s a fever dream for the first episodes) at first but god the quality is insane. Love love love.

omg PD I didn't know you read the manga and I was so pleasantly surprised seeing Dandadan in your schedule!! Was wondering what made you decide to watch and I'm glad to hear the backstory now <3 As a fellow manga reader, the hype is so real (the trailer was breathtaking as you said), and I'm happy it's getting so much recognition right now. The adaptation is also going above and beyond, it's everything I could've asked for and more T_T The voice acting too!! It's phenomenal!! (though I can't unhear Tanjiro's voice yet from Ken lol) I've seen the other episodes as well and I have so much praise for the animation and direction so far. The contrast between the blue theme for the aliens and red for Turbo Granny is so visually striking, I love it. And the well placed cuts? The backstory scenes? Tugs at my heartstrings. You also mentioned the blend of genres and I agree 😂 If someone asks what genre Dandadan is the correct answer is 'yes'. Also caught on that foreshadowing part too!

Aurayaya

Also Okarun having Tanjiro's VA is the best thing that could've happened lmao. Fits perfectly. Maaaan I'm so happy you started this, I would've recommended it but I didn't know you were gonna start a new show xD It's a 12/10 so far for me.... Speaking of recommendations PD. You need to watch Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. (Sousou no frieren) It's a once in a lifetime experience. Whenever you want to start a new anime on this patreon, consider watching Frieren. Didn't see people suggesting it here, which I would heavily consider to be a crime. It's an insanely fun, healing but also very exiciting. It's a journey PD! It's also the highest rated anime ever :D

Oh damn this rules!! I’ve been hearing great things about DDD and kept showing up on my feed bc Creepy Nuts got mega viral for Bling Bang Born-I’m glad I have an excuse to finally get on board— I love to see a female character introduced by trying to kick the shit out of someone 😂 the vibes are great, THE COLORS I haven’t seen a show get so weird and go so hard on the animation like this since Mob Psycho (also great at “shitty” loose drawing where things ugly but switching it up so there’s sm FLOW+bending and the lines are harsh but beautiful) !! Totally excited

Liv

Oh yes I totally called it!!! Once I heard him scream and say PLEASE KUDASAI it clicked and was like that HAS to be Tanjiros VA, it’s Natsuki Hanae

Cybill

Have you just introduced me to my new favorite anime? Do I need to go read the manga now? Ummm.. yes & yes!

Julianne

HAha didn't mention it because it's still airing. Personally still waiting to binge the season (couldn't help it and already started though)

Julianne

Also it's not quite the same at all, but the vibes remind me of Mob Psycho which I also really love and recommend, if you haven't already seen Mob.

yesss for frieren, its such an amazing show and seeing the journey that takes place really made me feel a bunch of emotions i havent felt from a show in a while. cant recommended it enough!

Love the manga, and the anime adaption looks so good! Action, Comedy, the supernatural, all tied up by a love story lol. Also Okarun's voice actor being Tanjiro's VA is awesome - he gets to do so much in this role

It's the occult and the "awkward" protagonist in black school uniform haha. It does give me Mob Psycho vibes as well (such a good anime, second the suggestion!)

Otto

Ok I'm not late, I'll follow this DanDaDan series here ^^

andrea malvesado

I would also suggest 'dark gathering ' not sure if someone else has seen it
