Hmm… Annie is the John Wick of this show and Levi is the Sonic the hedgehog 😅😅 The outro in the first episode is a female version of this song I love a lot: https://music.apple.com/cz/album/call-your-name/661050312?i=661050335&l=cs 49:00 - Actually… psychologists say that there is no “correct time” to explain to your child how a baby is made. The “correct thing” to do is provide the child a simple answer once they ask. Like… you don’t have to go immediately into details and whole sexual life. When a kid asks for that they are just curious and they don’t expect any deep dive into reproductive system 😅😅, so simple answer like: “Father and mother (or male/female/any gender in case the parents are the same sex, although in these cases it may lead the child to have more questions, but even those are not impossible to answer simply…) get intimate with each other” should be enough for the child and maybe later on, when they grow older, they might ask again for more details. And then you go and open your book with notes, which you have been preparing the whole time!! Just kidding 😹😹😹😹 Regarding these OADs or OVAs in general… They are always spin off/special bonus episodes, which are not related to the canon. In this case it is true that besides the cooking episode it does not have any impact on the main story, but still those episodes are not written by Hajime Isayama (only the very first one, Ilse’s Notebook), so… it is more like: “Someone was provided to create an “official fan fiction”, obviously this is a bit “extreme” way to phrase that, I don’t want to be disrespectful to the authors, but I hope it makes sense. These episodes are like: “What if”/“Oh, this character is popular, let’s make a special episode dedicated to them” Although I have to admit watching the Mikasa OAD now after the whole show is over, truly has an interesting depth to many things and it makes me like this OAD even more than the Levi focused ones. Therefore… huh… on the other hand the anime itself is like the final version of his work, because he looked after the whole process and even made foreshadowings there to things that had not happened in the manga while it was still being released chapter by chapter. So, technically these special episodes are in the weird realm of both being and not being a canon 😅😅 Let’s say it like this… if anything happens or has happened with a character in the main story, don’t think of it as like: “Ah, so because we know this from the OVAs/OADs, it explains this and that…”, but I am not even sure if there is any moment you could be thinking this way, besides this Mikasa episode as I said above… + obviously the cooking episode is just a fun episode, there is even one against canon thing, which I cannot tell now 😅😅
