I've been a fan of WOODZ since his produce x 101 days and for the longest time, I was really hung over the whole situation X1's disbandment and the ashy remnants of what was supposed to be his and his members' big break into fame. When he started his solo artist career and released EP after EP that was filled with hit after hit, I always felt that it was a bit of a shame that more people weren't recognizing and tuning into his music because the quality is there, the talent is there, and yet he was still (in kpop terms) nugu. Hell, he debuted the same year as GOT7 and Mamamoo and he's only getting recognition now - so many people in his position would have quit way earlier and I genuinely have so much respect for him both as an artist and as a person. This album is WOODZ's magnum opus (for now!) and I think he summarized it very well when he said that every song in the album had the essence of WOODZ as an artist. Stop that was already one of my favourites off the first listen but reading the lyrics both broke my heart and made me like it even more - what a long journey has he been on to get to his current level of recognition. It's so difficult to pick a favourite off this behemoth of an album - the listening experience of going through all 17 songs shows the various sides of WOODZ that coalesce into him as an artist. The songs feel more complete together rather than apart, which is not something I would say for most kpop or modern albums in general. He also released an hour-long film titled Slide Strum Mute that accompanies this album and I'm so upset it's not on streaming after being released into korean cinemas lol :/ Feeling the fomo real bad rn

I knew you'd love this album!! Woodz seriously never misses! He is such a well rounded artist, in my opinion, and no matter what genre he dives into, there's such a distinct "Woodz" flavor to it that is easily recognizable. My favorites off the album in no particular order are BEEP, Human Extinction, GLASS, Stray, NA NA NA, and CINEMA. SAMO is a sleeper track for me currently, but I see it becoming my favorite as time goes on. You should definitely check out the live version on YouTube of CINEMA at his showcase, as well as his live clip of a few different songs. As always, he sounds even better live!

So many thoughts I can’t even start. Thank you, PD. 🥹

PD there is 2 things you need to check out. First: Woodz' CINEMA Live Clip from his "2025 WOODZ PREVIEW CONCERT : index_00" and second his Live Clip for Human Extinction, NANANA, Dayfly and Cinema (these are all in one video). THANKS for checking out this album man!! Love it so much

I love how the whole album tells a story in the order of the tracks. But that's been his style for selecting tracks already since the early days. The first half was all anger and angst and the second half is full of love and melancholy. He broke my heart with Plastic-Glass-Cinema-SAMO and put it back together again in the end with To My January. The credits for Struggle say "Chorus vocals - Woodz" which is both surprising and unsurprising. It is interesting that you said Cinema is like Drowning but different. Because it seems it was one of the earliest tracks in the album, he wrote and recorded it a few months after Drowning. I think you haven't reacted to the Cinema MV yet? Do you plan to? I'd recommend also watching his live clip from his preview concert back in November. Thank you for talking about the lyrics and meaning of SAMO! 🧡💙
