That album is scary. Scary like for what it is and how it does not hold back at all! I hope you happen to find time to do the listening party this month

I'm an old kpop fan and my biggest roots are in Gen 1 & 2. This man was always different - art, culture, brains, skill, fearlessness all together. I'm so incredibly happy for him to come back on his own terms being uniquely himself. Makes my heart and soul soar to see him as he is.

His album is amazing but heartbreaking as well. I cannot stop thinking about it, can’t wait for you to check it out

Desperado at first seemed like a great b-side, which happened to be chosen as the title track, which was weird, because I would expect something different as THE TITLE TRACK after all those years. It felt like a good pre-release, but the album was released along with that, so it was confusing. After reading the interview with him, I see his intention. The album is like a GIANT message reflecting his whole life and nothing really has the proper title track energy, except for Studio54, which is better to be heard in the album first and then experiencing it through a music video (as he says).

Yes I get you that TOP has always been unique and artistic and those that get it get it. But the thing is even for those who aren’t as tuned into the weird, the other thing about TOP is he is undeniably cool. So whatever he does, no matter how strange it is (thinking of the Doom Dada MV) it’s like “what the hell is going on? But that man is smooth as hell.” The fact that every reactor I’ve seen react to him the first time basically has the same take away: 1) he’s weird 2) he’s so cool, says everything. Desperado is smooth and cinematic but yeah the rest of the album is a whole other level. It’s really one of the best albums I’ve heard in the past few years.
