PD so fast this time 😋😋😋😋 can't wait for you to watch the previous mvs 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 their animation has definitely improved through time, their movement tracking is much smoother now compared to before 🥹

Their animation/mocap has definitely improved - you'll immediately see the difference when you go back and watch Wait For You (and I personally recommend going through the MVs chronologically, including their Japanese MV for Hide & Seek). I think around the time that Pump Up The Volume was being promoted, VLAST implemented a toon shader upgrade which for me has been one of the biggest visual upgrades, but only if you kinda know what you're looking for, and it was definitely more an improvement for their livestreams and live performance stages that don't see the amount of post-processing/special FX treatment that their cinematics (MVs etc) do. Lore-wise I think their powers were only recently gained (and if you watch Dash that'll immediately be more obvious). Eunho's symbolic animal is the wolf (and he's very unseriously serious about it); most people tend to mistake him for a vampire on first sight though. Asterum is where they currently live but Caelum is where they're from (whenever they talk about past anecdotes from childhood they often refer to them taking place in Caelum lol) and Terra is Earth, where we all are! I think you'll like Pt 2 when you get to it, maybe not so much as you liked Pt 1 but it is definitely very much still in the Caligo mold!

AHHHH it’s so nice to see you react to PLAVE releases on time! And I totally get what you mean with the song being mostly staying high tension. It gave me the vibes of early VIXX songs like Voodoo Doll or something in the direction of B.A.P. I am really in awe seeing the improvement of the technology and rendering they have done since debut and can’t wait for you to see it soon as well! If you want to see all official mvs then the official channel has a playlist in chronological order ( https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbdyoOZYSLOq9Zsdhg_ZlurXAKvtp96YG&si=jfl-mDOW7SIiFeOU If you want to just see the lore MVs (in order) - Wait for You - The 6th Summer - WAY 4 LUV - (Pump Up The Volume) - Dash - Hide & Seek (JP Version) - Hide & Seek (KR Version) (Both Hide & Seek portray the POV of the one hiding and the one seeking and act like an lore interlude) - Born Savage (immediately takes place after Dash) Some of the lore is a bit hidden in the lost media society webpage that is currently down for the current era (not sure if we will ever get this retrieved) but there are a ton of good lore recap videos that tie every gap missing between the MVs together if you ever feel like exploring their lore deeper after the MV marathon

yay more plave! i don't know how to explain the lore in detail but each of the members represent a character in different webtoons. bamby (pink hair) and eunho (white hair) are from the same webtoon while the members are from different webtoons. so all of them are from abandoned/discontinued webtoons but only hamin (black hair) is from a webtoon that was never published. some terms Terra: Earth caelum: virtual world where discontinued characters live asterum: a space between terra and caelum that the members have escaped to. caligo: an army of forgotton webtoon characters who have lost their memory. they now become antagonists and eliminate other characters who have escaped (including plave). That's why some of the albums have been named caligo and asterum. (also the character that they just "killed" is called terry who is part of the caligo army. he used to be in the same webtoon at eunho (white hair) and bamby (pink hair). terry was a good friend of eunho's. but since he lost his memories, he doesn't remember eunho...so it's tragic that plave had to defeat terry.)

also while listening to the new song i realised that it made sense. dash was a song that represented pre-war. which explains why the song had a roller coaster of a journey. while born savage, like you mentioned, seems to be about the war stage with tones of confidence and hope.

I knew someone was gonna break down the lore in the comments, much appreciated!

Lmaooo on the lore. I would consider myself a PLLI but I also don't have a good grasp on their lore so I probably would have described it as well as you did 💀 One thing that was interesting is that they created a site for their comeback and it had a whole mini game and lore references.
