Haven't watched yet but oh 🥲 I'm completely obsessed with the song

Kevin

It is obviously ok to not like something but the hate these groups receive is insanely inappropriate. It is a bit too harsh in general. That said personally I think that the title track quality has dropped and I hope for the quality to increase again for the next releases or they might lose me as a concert goer.

Letícia

I guess we won't be getting a live stage reaction then huh...

Artist37

Respect your opinions, and I understand why you dont want to release something you cant make a video out of, wouldnt want you to force it. I was only vocal about Boompala release because we were coming up on the Listening Party with no form of update. Thats all. I absolutely agree with you about the teams at HYBE forcing controversial releases. Celebration shouldve been a single unattached to the Pureflow. I actually like Boompala but I also wish it didnt exist in its current form, ie without macarena sample.

Chris S

I think your criticism about the concept works if you assume that most of the hate they get is because of their music, but I disagree with that assumption. These three groups have all received a lot of hate directed at the members themselves for reasons that have nothing to do with their music. Their recent title tracks may have all been planned together, but the hate trains they've all gone through long preceeded any planning that would have gone into that, so IMO, the concept still works.

camila

Do you think you would react to Katseye’s Coachella? I know you liked their discography besides Pinky up, and, genuinely, their performance to me personally was amazing. I do love the constructive criticism reactions, though! I would love for you to do this with any songs you react to that you don't like.

camila

BUT definitely keep it off youtube because they're crazy on there LOL

Kayla 💜

oh i will not be watching this 😭😭

Marii

I respect your opinions & i’m glad you put this video out! i enjoyed watching & seeing it from a perspective i somewhat agree with, i enjoyed the song itself tbh, & the choreo is great! I heavily disagree with you saying that the hate they get is because of their music. i’m sure some people do hate them bc of their music, but these ladies get hate for literally existing. I wish i was exaggerating when i say that, but literally these ladies can’t do anything without getting hate for it. That’s why most of these lyrics are very specific as well, & don’t relate to the music they put out.

camila

While I do think HYBE is heavily controlling their music with the girls and I think they’re trying to be fun and different, it’s just getting repetitive, and the music is getting disruptive and hard to listen to; they always have to be a grower. I’ve seen with Katseye that the girls actually like the songs, but as a fan, I can see how Sophia and Yoonchae aren’t 100% into the songs they’re getting (Pinky Up, Internet Girl, and now this one). I understand they want a crazy, fun title track/single, but it just doesn’t move me as a song the way Gabriela’s does. Everyone mentions that their b-sides are where they show their vocal ability, but it shouldn’t have to be that way, because many people don't listen to b-sides if they aren't fans. We should be able to have a great song from a single or title track that’s amazing to listen to on the regular and hear the amazing talent these girls have. I genuinely need a quality R&B song from them. If they have to add some pop or uniqueness to it, fine, but I just don't want them to get carried away as they did once Gnarly got popular. While PERSONALLY I do enjoy the songs for a fun listen, it’s just hard to listen to on the regular.

i need a wig

yeah this song wasnt for me either. the company forcing horrid releases onto their groups, THEN having a manufactured ‘diss’ to the haters is crazy to me. a shame tho cuz the concept of it is great since all of these groups have gotten a bunch of hate (besides the hate for their songs)

Migle

I was pondering something the first time I heard Gnarly. The original creator is Alice Longyu Gao, an independent artist and from her the song sounded authentic. It seemed to be a satirical/critical look at the industry glorifying outrage, entitled attitudes of celebrities, the way anything can be good or bad depending on how you frame it, as long as you interact with it. But, while listening to it as a song, bought and used by Hybe, it left me thinking. Can a conglomerate release a product that criticizes itself while still playing into the same trends the lyrics satirize? ( even putting aside the fact that they kept in Tesla lyric AFTER the nazi salute Muskrat did TWICE in front of cameras for all to see) The song seemed to land well enough, it was catchy and while it caused outrage (as intended), it was also very popular. But after Gnarly Hybe seemed to double down on this trend for their other groups as well, and each time it lands worse and worse. And Hybe does not care how it reflects on their artists, they're happy with the engagement they're getting, positive and negative, and they are more than willing to throw the girls under the bus for it. I'm fully with you on the point that if Hybe wants the outrage, the best way to proceed is with silence.

k !

as much as i understand your stance, i do think that you’re grossly underestimating the hate these three groups received for everything other than their music. i won’t harp on it since it’s been mentioned already. honestly, i think that this sort of project is a good thing. maybe the lyrics are a bit too on the nose, but i think it’s kind of cool to be straight forward about it. no beating around the bush, this is what the song is going to say and just standing on it. these girls have been perceived in the ugliest of ways even when they were doing songs like magnetic, or performing at coachella, or competing in a survival show, or literally just breathing. i think there is a certain take back of power when girls can be over the top and off putting and fully embrace that, even if it started as just a concept by a corporation. + i just remembered that a couple of hours ago, moka’s hiatus has been confirmed to be a suspension of all activities due to excessive tension and symptoms of anxiety. it’s gone so much deeper than just the music.

Audrey

okay, illit is one of my ult groups and i love lesserafim. I am so mad at Hybe for what they've done this era. I liked It's Me, but hated Boompala and Celebrate. Now this? Idk why they're trying to make all their groups have the same sound when they all were great having their own sounds. I esspecially feel bad for katseye cause you can tell these girls DO NOT like their current sound and concept. It just sucks. I'm not hating cause i hate the groups, I am hating on the company for giving them these songs.

Chloé

I do agree with some things you said but if there's one thing I can't agree with is that the reason those girls are hated is because of their music which is definitely not true. Their music is clearly liked by a lot of people, which is why they're so successful and one of the few groups who can actually chart globally. However you probably know how kpop stans are in general, especially out of competiveness/jealousy and the hate those girls receive goes way beyond just not liking their music. They get insults daily for simply existing and they're treated as punching bags. Also the hate has been nonstop since 2024 for Illit and Lesserafim (For Katseye it started probably around Gnarly). And I know you don't do social medias much but people are genuinely vile with those poor girls and the music is just an excuse. People are not waiting for bad music to hate on them, being successful and especially being from Hybe is enough for kpop stans to hate them

Yemidotcom

...oof I agree to disagree 🤍 I live for a bit and the way I think of it is that pinky up (which I still don't like) the "fuck you"; it's me is the "oh your hatred is actually just obsession" and then celebrate & Boompala (which I do love Boompala, but I was also a Macarena Kid so it reminds me of making money as a child at parties but I do agree has just 14% too much Macarena) is the resolution of "I can't do anything about it so I just gotta do me" and then iconic by mistake would be the bow on it all in theory. Yes, I think this collection of four songs is coordinated, but I think it's a "manufactured" response that they genuinely have to all of the genuine hate for things outside of their music that they are referencing in the song and the video. So instead of using the word manufactured, I prefer to use the word coordinated. Do I think it was 100% execution no but I do like the execution of it predominantly and that they kept the through line journey with all three of their title tracks... My only critique is that I really wish Le Sserafim could have written their own verse. I think Yunjin could've come up with something a little bit more cheeky and that matched everyone else's verses. I don't think the hate is manufactured, but I do think the response is coordinated. But that's just my opinion so fair. What is a fact, though is the hate that they get (mostly) and that they are addressing is not the music. Especially not the current title tracks. But it is always cool to hear your take even if I don't agree lol

abbie

I dont think people are as hateful toward the music as they are toward other matters. And a lot of the time, the music hate is used as a disguise for peoples opinions on those other matters..

Kendall

reiterating what other comments are saying about the hate the girls receive. most of it (arguably all of it) is not related to their music at all but rather personal attacks on them as people. i think that most diss tracks are unwarranted and try to make people seem more relevant than they are but in this case i think the song totally works because all three groups have the history to back it up. i'm a fan of all of them and it really sucks to see them get shit on personally, but i love seeing how they've developed a united front against it all. it's no secret that pinky up, celebration, and it's me were clearly leading up to this collaboration but they should have all been released as singles and left off of their respective albums because i agree they all stick out and ruin the musicality & cohesiveness of the albums they're on. in regards to boompala i do think it fits in well in the pureflow album and doesn't stick out like celebration does but i get how divisive it is and why people don't like it. it is by no means my favorite le sserafim title track but i can't deny that it does get stuck in my head every other day since it came out.

Dassah

For me, I feel like this song was a missed opportunity. Frankly, I’m just tired of the controversial music where it seems like HYBE groups especially put out music just to have people say something negative about it. They seem to embody the any press is good press and it lowkey pisses me off. I’m sure the girls love the opportunity to collaborate but imagine if they had the opportunity to sing and be artists on a project like this? Sure eventually I’ll come around to the song as a consumer and yes many of the girls have received hate so this would be a clap back song…But I think objectively what the song and direction represent for the future doesn’t seem worth it.

Dassah

Additionally knowing that it was Katseye’s team that prepared the song double down on that aspect ur talking about of the manufactured nature of it all. I feel like the songs lacks genuineness and identity that could have worked in their favor if a song with this intention was put out. I will say though that I love the choreo and the love stages are great from a performance and dance perspective.

cosmic_girl

I don’t like katseyes music i will say i have never seen people act as psychotic online towards a group and the personalities they project onto them as this group. They get as much hate that is born out of people dissecting every video of them and labeling them as bitches who secretly hate each other or as narcissists as they do for their music. And i don’t even really care about them as people besides manon but even i think the rumors people spread about them and how they are talked about is insane.

cosmic_girl

I generally dislike any track that intends to diss on haters though and this isn’t any different. But yeah agreed with the other replies it’s not just music they’re hated for.

Kevin

I am happy about this because the hate train has been unbearable and NO it is not just because of their music. The unbelievable hate trains have been going on for ages and have become unforgivable.

Sophia

agree with some things, but, as a lot of people said it already, theses girls absolutely do not get hated just for their music. Being women they get criticized for everything they do. Take Dani's line for example "I just wanna be me, dance a little crazy". Dani been receiving so much hate because people say that she "overdance" and that "she should do less". Illit receive hate from the beggining of their career for allegedly "copying new jeans". Lesserafim's history with hate is so scary. Since the Coachella people don't stop hating them for everything. Chaewon received death treats with funeral flowers being send to hybe's building on her birthday, that's why she's on a tombstone in the MV. these are just some examples about how kpop stan are so unfair and cruel with theses girls. It's definitely not about the music.

Etoile2004

I don’t like the musical direction they’re going in, it’s such a waste of their talents. majority of the hate whether people want to admit it or not is definitely because of the music

Niclas K-Pop

I can only join the people in the comments. The HUGE majority of the hate for these groups, especially ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM, does NOT come from their music. Their music getting hated on is just a result of the negativity towards them for other reasons (Toxic Tokkies, MYs just to name a few main perpetrators). Those same people that will criticize and hate them for breathing would obviously say only bad things about their music, creating the illusion that the music is where the hate comes from.

Slay127

Omg this

Sven Lenders

I honestly think this was a bad move by HYBE, 1) they now showed that they are litterally making them sound the same songs wise 2) they acnowledge the fact that they are getting hate and respond to the haters (which will only trigger them more) 3) I can see this is a fast way to gain big money in a short amount of time, and the exeticution isn't even that good (why have them do the shots apart from each other?)

Tidus

Counterpoint: EVERY kpop group, even more so girl groups/members receive hate for anything. It wont do to start 'comparing' hate trains but its not unique to these groups/girls

Chris S

I don't see how that counters my point at all. I'm a fan of a lot of groups, so I'm well aware of how much hate they all get. It always sucks and is never justified. That said, I WILL compare them: If you were around for the hate trains Le Sserafim and Illit went through in 2024/early 2025, you would know that it was really bad even by the standards of the hate most popular groups typically get. During that time period, it was impossible to have a conversion about either of those groups pretty much anywhere online without the conversion getting flooded with comments hating on them, to the point that all of their social media accounts had to disable comments.

mm

Thank you for putting into words what I was feeling this entire era but couldn't really articulate. Everything just feels corporate and soulless. And it's so hard to critize Hybe because looking at the numbers it's obviously successfull. But I have a strong hunch that this is a shortterm kind of success that might even be hurtfull in the longterm if they continue this approach of "manufacturing" virality. I just hope this is over now and the 3 groups are able to diverge and to their own things again.

Annika

I cant speak about the other 2 groups but I stan le sserafim and the massive hate they get definitely isnt just bc of their music and it also didnt start when they released celebration/boompala, they're constantly getting hate for everything they do & say. Like people are genuinely vile to those girls. During their hate train from coachealla they had to turn off comments on ALL their social media. And there was a point they had to restrict their weverse dms bc they even got too much hate there even tho its a PAID fan service.

UnraveledSpace

Most of the hate I see online for them is because of their music. Like I said “most” of course not all of it is because of their music but most of it definitely is imo. For myself, I love all three group but most of their music is just not it for me. I do enjoy LSF’s side of things the most here, but even their 2 recent releases have been meh for me.

UnraveledSpace

I agree with everything you said PD. I know a lot of fans here from all three groups love them and bring up the point of hate outside of their music, but tbh most of the hate I see online from them is for their music. Yes not all of it is because of it, but most of it that I see is. I’m a huge Fearnot, and even I haven’t been a fan of their last 2 releases. (Spaghetti and Boompala) I like illit’s It’s Me but it definitely sticks out as a sore thumb from their album. I’m not a fan of the disruptive sound either or the intentional annoying hooks.

Mariana

Hybe needs to stop sabotaging its girl groups like they're all talented or/and passionate but they're forced to do songs that literally anyone could do..

yubél

I agree with everything you said.. since gnarly by katseye everything took a wild turn i mean you can like the song and think its funny but the music itself its so bad in musical terms... Same thing happened with spaghetti and boompala same thing happened with its me by illit i didnt enjoy any of those songs altho i like the groups... So i hate the company for wasting their talent and trying to get the hate out of people towards those girls.. I mean they get hate for everything (as every other idol obviously) but hybe enforcing it by releasing bad music I was into LSF until HOT release watching all their variety etc but since then i just casual listen cause the music they put out is bad at least for me and its not the girls fault obviously but i can't keep up with a group if i dont vibe with their music.. Same thing with katseye from gnarly onwards idk what hybe trying to do but eventually casual listeners like me nowadays will go away as well.. illit was treated a bit better in terms of music altho still its me is weird song In the end i believe this specific song was so katseye coded and decided to throw the other 2 groups in and for me it didn't work out.. yeah i get the lyrics but the music is bad so i won't pretend its fine because of the lyrics which lyrics was nothing crazy in the end hybe just talking their sh*t cause there are no lyrics credits from the girls.

Chloe

I have mixed feeings about this song simply because I adore the chorus but I really can't get behind the verses.. the lyrics are not it and I'm not a fan of the delivery so they kind of ruin the song for me. I like the message behind the song, and again the chorus is so catchy and hits so hard, I love it but the song as a whole falls short because of the verses

Hrathen

What crowd are we talking about? The various kpop fandom or just people who enjoy listening to kpop? Because if its the latter, then the dislike is entirely due to the music. The vocal minority are the ones slinging hate towards individual members because they have the time to even pay attention to individual members

Chris S

Sure, and people who just don't like the music and don't throw a big fuss over it aren't the people this song is directed at.

Joonka

PD I completely agree with everything you said. Yes they do get a lot of hate outside of their music like every group from the big 4. But that does not change the fact that everything you said is true. Also, this year I’ve seen a lot more hate for their music than anything else. Last year I would’ve said differently though. Hi, like you, felt like ILLIT had a very strong and distinct concept from the beginning. I also felt the same about Le SSERAFIM. But not this year I don’t know if it’s for the sake of this collaboration, but you have three groups from the same label that sonically sound like they have the same identity. I hope all three groups can get back to having a unique identity.

Antoni

Honestly I hate the way HYBE's been homogenizing these three groups, who have distinct sounds, just to make empty "provocative" music. All the hate these groups get is not just music related, but deeply entrenched in misogyny as well, and the way hybe uses all these images of violence against them to still sell them like a product just feel like a continuation of the misogyny. The homogenization, clickbait, and violence of the imagery all speaks to the way HYBE disrespects their female artists to me because I cannot for a second imagine they'd disrespect their boy groups in this same way.

Milagros

This was my exact reaction, it just feels dirty and predatory the way this corporation has full control of their image and sound, and never addresses actual concerns people have, but make them instead release a ragebait song ??? ughhhhh and the fact that they're playing the perfect family legitimately makes me wanna throw up when they have a HISTORY of picking favorites among gg

Milagros

Thisssssssssssssss, I do understand the "they actually get hated on" take, BUT this is MARKETING. It really put it in perspective for me when I read a tweet that said: "If JYP gg did this, you know it would be a song about hope and friendship". All 3 groups have had recent comebacks dissing the haters (Spaghetti, NOT ME, Internet Girl) and now this. This is a business tactic, not a girl boss moment

Milagros

They make them go up on a stage every night and sing eat zucchini, then make them release a song for the haters pls give me a break, release these girls from this humiliation ritual

TealOrbitZen

Once again you have said so many thoughts that have been in my head and worded them so well lol I also did a reaction to this and despite me generally liking the sounds of this and even pinky up and boompala, I was also completely feeling from it's me and boompala that hybe was intentionally going the same route with them as they were with KATSEYE, just trying to make controversial music. And with this before it was released it was almost like a "ok thank God" because it was clear that this would be part of that plan too, and I just hope after this they can go back to making more artful music. I really love all three groups so I get so tired of people hating on them, but yeah obviously hybe is a big part of that so it sucks. I have to say that all the songs have grown on me generally though, I don't think they're completely bad or anything

Minnie

also the fact that it's a 3 group collab but only sounds like a katseye song...

Minnie

And yet people won't stop hating on them just because they release a ragebait song that basically only big corp is profiting from, even if the concept works.

Chloé

Exactly

Kevin

Thats not a valid counter at all, considering what these groups experienced

Prachi Tomar

Thank you so much for honest comments! I was waiting for someone to say this! 💯

ANOM _VIP

Maybe bc of the lack of talent too!! Or maybe the music is soo bad that i dont think they have talent? I strongly believe the hate is for a reason🫠 and this song is so bad

Craig Moore

I appreciate that you put out that u didn't like it, because I appreciate the honesty of that. i liked it myself, but if u didn't thats cool; you explained why and thats all you need to do as a reactor. Good for you mate. My comments following are just my Idle thoughts, and not meant to "Counter" what you said above. Its interesting you talked about the individual comebacks. I didn't like Pinky Up (Or Gnarly really) but my understanding was that this is more what Katseye want to do as their sound than something like Touch or their early stuff. I'm sure they didn't write it, but I think tonally it's where they want to be, or so is my understanding. LeS is the same with Spaghetti and Boompala; My understanding is they wanted this direction for their sound After finishing Crazy/Easy/Hot, and encouraged the kind of songs into their newer stuff. Now I liked Boompala and Spaghetti OK, but not as much as C/E/H, but am hanging in their with the group because I like THEM so much. I wonder if the corporate "feel" to this is them asking for a direction shift and Source not shifting the right way with them? I'm not sure as to the answer. I don't think I agree that it's "Soulless" but its... odd. More so Spaghetti, though that WAS a big hit for them (And seems to be widely liked by other idols too). Maybe I'm clouded by my like for the group. Illit is a group I have never really gotten into TBH. I actually liked "It's Me" more than any of their other work (Though 'Not Cute anymore" was ok) so I guess the change worked for me there. But I cant really comment much on the group as I have only a passing familiarity with them. Anyway thanks for the video mate.

Alanna M

Exactly, just within the past 24hrs they were all celebrating in the quotes of the statement about Moka going on hiatus again due to anxiety, proud that all the hate pushed her to this point. Absolutely vile. ILLIT have had insane hate since the MHJ sht at their debut until this day and no, the vast majority of it is NOT for their music.

Alanna M

Love you, thanks for this! Though it seems that the insane amount of non-music related hate these groups have received has slipped you by, which is understandable if you aren’t really on social media but it definitely exists. The ILLIT members have been continuously dragged since after their debut and still largely until this day (courtesy of the ongoing aftermath of mhj's mania), though they thankfully also have more support now too. While I agree that Katseye definitely does get a lot of flack for their music, since Manon's hiatus the hate towards the others members has increased 100x fold with assumptions and blame running wild. The LSRFM hate train post-Coachella was crazy. I would go into it more but don't want to make this an essay. I personally enjoyed the song, video, performance but eh, each to their own. For their individual releases, I loved It's Me but wasn't a fan of Pinky Up - wish they stayed on the Gabriela route, it IS their most streamed (and best imo) song. It took a while for Boompala to grow on me and it kinda did but it's my least fave title track of theirs.

intothesilentnight

Literally right before I played your reaction the thought struck me that Hybe may have given these groups polarizing title tracks as a lead up to this collaboration, so silly. And it sucks that what could've been a truly iconic collaboration just feels so rushed and ill thought.

mini !

The hate train against Le Sserafim during EASY era and for over a year after was so bad they had to disable comments on all of their accounts and only recently reopened them. The second the New Jeans situation happened ILLIT's comments were flooded with hate from bunnies. KATSEYE gets hate like constantly lol. The song isn't fantastic but I really love the concept because its relevant to their situations. I'm a fearnot so I can say Le Sserafim really did have such a horrible time with hate during EASY era, it was like a switch flipped and all anyone talked about was how they can't sing and other things I won't rehash here. I do kind of blame HYBE for a lot of how these girls get attacked. I do agree the company doesn't really set them up well if that makes sense. But the girls themselves get insane levels of hate regardless of the songs. I do agree HYBE seems to have a heavy influence on most of the groups under them.

Marii

wow, @anom_vip what an unnecessary comment! just because you personally think they have “no talent” doesn’t mean they should receive the hate they have been given. especially at the extent these ladies have been receiving it, because it’s not about the music at that point. you are allowed to not like the song, but there is no reason to spread hate to young women who are following their dreams! 🤍

aylalala

Agree with everyone that the hate the girls have been getting is beyond the music which is unfortunate for so many idols but especially girl groups. Also agree with PD that some of the music they have put out recently definitely has been getting a much more obvious corporate touch. I just wish they could have thought of a better idea to do this project. If the concept really was 'iconic by mistake' and big f u to the haters, was this really the best idea?

bibbi

Just to add some examples of what everyone is saying about them getting majority hated on outside their music: - Lara was reported to ICE by a toxic blink - During Dream Academy, people called Daniela fake Lantina because she’s fairer skinned. - Manon (though she isn’t in this project) being called lazy and even Daniela’s own father hating on her publicly - People either say that Sakura doesnt deserve to be in Le Ssera or that Le Ssera ruined her abilities she had before joining. - People hating on Le Ssera saying Yunjin would’ve been better in Katseye - the whole New Jeans-ILLIT incident - people saying Wonhee didn’t deserve to be in the group and calling her dancing bad - people still saying ILLIT is coping NJ and hoping they disband - rumors of people planning to poison ILLIT at fan meets To name a few.

Sunny

I totally agree with everything u Said. And ur right With the difference of „Bad“ and „unpleasant“ u opend my eyes a Little Bit with that sentence.

Karen.

This project was not for people who do not understand the details of all the hate these groups had to endure. Lots of the lyrics and small details in the MV are referencing to actual hateful comments that these girls get (funeral flowers being sent to chaewon on her birthday, sakura literally being buried in hate for her singing, wonhee being cutesie, the helium voice from magnetic, Daniela’s dancing style, Meghan being ungodly) I get how it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I 100% believe that this is all by design. These groups will not stand to being bullied and stomped on anymore. They are sending the message that they stand together and that any hate that comes their way will not affect them (as much as it did before). I think it’s admirable and I wish all companies would have projects like this (just like when gen 2 with the seasonal projects that involved many groups). All groups deserve camaraderie.

Maddox

The assumption that the hate they get is because of their music is crazy. We know that is never the case with K-pop "fans." It always is, and always will be, more than just their dislike for a song.

Artist37

Point 3 valid... Points 1 and 2 not so much...I dont even know how you reached that conclusion in point 1.... Celebration/Boompala, Its Me, Pinky Up, and IBM sound nothing alike...and IF they were all releasing songs in the same base genre to lead into IBM, it was def a one-time thing. Point 2... the hate has been acknowledged from the start so I also dont know how you think a diss track is going to do anything...they hid from the hate early on and it only validated the haters to keep piling on... but theyve since stood their ground and have proved theyll come out stronger no matter what.

lovelygirl

everything to do with katseye upset me to the point where i felt the need to erase them from all my social media and just not engage at all in it because ik hybe would love it if i talked about them online. this is not hate towards the girls this is me being upset at hybe.

Wiktor

Pinky Up hits different when drunk in a club 🥴🤣

auska

I have to agree to people saying, that these groups get really hate for everything. But I also think pd is right, about hybe giving them "controversial" music on purpose. Also sadly what bothered me the most about the song are the lyrics. Like I think the melody and beat are kinda nice and stick in your head, but especially the lyrics in the verses are killing me. I feel it's so badly written, I dont even understand what they are trying to say with some of them

DuckyDae X

this has honestly been so refreshing to hear, i genuinely was interested particularly in katseye after touch but their trajectory with gnarly and pinky up has completely lost me and the fact that have have been so indignant to push it onto their groups with le sserafim especially who already have an established sound is pushing me away from their music further, even as someone who is very much a casual listener, and an “sm stan” first and foremost where having an actual melody means something. iconic by mistake comes across as “hated by design”. dunno how the did it but hybe made step back sound palatable, but still fucked up the fundamentals that made got the beat work. also, the fact that EVERYTHING from them is now SO sexualised just rubs me the wrong way. and the fact that a lot of people are picking on the “it’s not just the music that gets hate, it’s them.” feels disingenuous because they didn’t write it. it’s not how the girls feel about the hate it’s about how much discourse and traction HYBE can gain.

lola le

its not just because of the music..it has a lot of other reasons as well. and while i get wanting more vocal. more public friendly songs. i find the experimental songs like this a vibe

lola le

most idols sing about theyre haters. this is nothing new lol. and i like it...them singing about jobless haters
