Your comparison to Mayhem by Lady Gaga brought me here… and… Mayhem has that “larger than life” approach to it, but I see why it reminds you of that album

although he is only credited in the physical version of the album (probably to avoid bad press) Ravi had a heavy heavy hand in the production of all the songs and as a vixx fan I feel like you can really tell! and my favorite is also Other Side (and matthew's as well lmao)

YESSSS I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS REACTION, I KNEW YOU'D LOVE IT. The reason why our light seems a bit different is also bc he actually made the song for his uni graduation showcase so we've all heard a live version of it before 😂 but I guess he really wanted to release the song officially and therefore put it on the album, it still fits beautifully on there and putting the song second to last was a good choice I think. I was not able to properly rank the album bc its all just so good 😭

this is exactly how i felt listening to this album bc it gagged me like nothing before. seriously the last time i heard a no-skip 10/10 album like this was zb1’s ascend- holy shit it's genuinely an out of body experience i love you sung hanbin this sound is INCREDIBLE and so is the concept!!! also, 3AM just gives me SUCH strong enhypen vibes!!

The cohesiveness of this project is something that struck me, too. It feels like there's a clear artistic vision running through every aspect of his solo debut from the music to the choreography to the visual branding, one that you can trace back to his artist of the month and award show stages and even pre-debut stuff. It really comes across like he had something specific that he wanted to communicate to the world, and that going solo was his chance to present that vision and assert his identity as an artist. That makes me really, really excited to see where his career goes from here -- for me, the most compelling soloists are the ones who arrive with a vision in search of a platform, rather than vice versa. Side note, it's great getting a reaction to Hanbin's album from someone who has followed his journey from boys planet on! He's really come a long way.
