oh if you think Maha's eyebrows are huge now .... I don't know WHAT the makeup artist was thinking but they do her so dirty in terms of her makeup (and just her styling in general they made her look so young and for WHAT)

rockthekazb0t

Not to mention that damn WIG 🙈 [Context: I believe she was filming Doom At Your Service a little bit before or around the same time as Imitation and she has short hair in that so they decided to just slap a horrendous wig on her for Imitation? I guess??)

ab_igor

what's so weird is that literally in the first (or second) episode, there's that scene where she got that haircut and she looks good with short hair! and then after that they were like nah lets bring on a wig the short hair isn't giving

Connor (Cyndr)

holy shit this episode has me cringing in secondhand embarrassment

rockthekazb0t

I KNOW!! Like what was the point of that scene? Because she had long hair later on, it made no sense timeline-wise - did time pass and they didn't mention it?

Emani

I am glad I am not the only who is bothered by her hair in this show

Cristine

For me this show totally got better after episode 7. And that's mainly due to seeing how everything unfolds.

Connor (Cyndr)

To me the old manager kinda looks like Hobi. Just a general face structure and lip shape similarity

jiminycricket

My mom and I said the same thing, girl you cut your hair to start university, now you have long hair? Why maha why?

jiminycricket

I felt it was so slow in the beginning but since it’s only 12 episodes, it starts to really close the plot holes. I do agree I wish they had developed the side characters but what can you with 12 episodes. The second hand embarrassment at the sitcom set is honestly one of my favorite scenes to jokingly yell at lol

PD, The nickname 뱁새 actually means Try-hard not Crow tit, the literal definition is Crow tit but the word is used as slang for being a try hard. It’s also used in BTS’s song called 뱁새, they translated the title to Crow tit but in the song they sing it meaning that they’re try-hards.

Ara J

Why not PD🤷🏽‍♀️ Anything is possible no matter how idiotic it may seem hahaha😂

Irving

for me I enjoy the show a lot but yeah I agree that some of the characters could have been more developed so for that maybe longer episodes could have been a solution but aside from that I love the drama still can't get over of ep 12

rockthekazb0t

Oh PD... There's a whole family of birds under the "Tit" classification(also known as the Paridae family).. There's the Yellow-bellied Tit, the Tufted Titmouse, even a "Great Tit" 😂

as someone who works on tabloids (lol) i will say that actual reporters/journalists in general do not condone this type of shit and do not go out stalking celebrities like that, please don't hate all of us!!! But that being said, I do think that sasaengs are worst in the end because they go out of their way in so many ways (like actually invading houses, tracking planes, stealing clothes etc) just because they feel like their idol owe them something and that is just disgusting on a whole different levels. Also for the reporters/journalists bit, I'll point out that it's not usually them who go out stalking people lol it's usually photo agencies who then sell the pictures to the media outlets and it's not many outlets that have their own photographers especially because that would cost a lot of money and it's just a lot of celebrities out there, you cannot pay a crew just to be posted outside waiting for things to happen. Which takes us to the fact that many photo agencies probably count with the help of tips from the outside and really wouldn't be surprised if that comes from sasaengs in this scenario. Also, the biggest reason why media outlets choose to publish stuff like that is because the audience buy it. The general public love this kind of gossip and in the end that's why it exists. If no one cared, no one would be making money out of it, so it's just an endless cycle somehow (and I will tell you, tabloids/celebrities outlets are the ones making the most money out there among the different 'types' of journalism)

Brianna

Ok so I looked it up and ‘crow tit’ is apparently a nickname for a type of ‘long tail tit.’ It was mentioned in a proverb ‘if a crow tit tried to walk like a stork, it would break its legs’ this is where the try hard meaning comes from.

I’m team “Let Idols Smash” all day everyday!

I wonder if anyone else thinks that Shax's company is probably copied from SM? I can't help thinking that Shax is a mix of EXO and NCT. It's so weird

Emi R.

I always thought Shax was probably inspired by Exo. Maybe not the company itself because it seems like NOG is a “newer” company and SM is way more established than that, but definitely the group with them being popular/top group in Korea, member leaving a couple years in unexpectedly, other member(s) stepped up to fill the empty center position *cough* Luhan, plenty of documented sasaeng issues, members branching out into acting, dating scandal coverups, car dating pic, long term girlfriend unknown to fans, trainee supposed to debut being replaced super last minute because they discovered a new talent(replaced trainee never gets to the same level of fame at another company)... 😬

Anna Kariawil

Yeah, but now we know that the company is probably 12 years old or so. I mean, it's not really newer. But maybe I misunderstood something

Olaf

The male chicken was called cock loooong before humans used it as slang for male genitalia of course. Much like dick was just short for richard long before it also became slang for it.

Emi R.

I’d still say that’s newer in terms of kpop companies considering Shax debuted 6 years ago. So if 12 years total, only 6 years to go from crying in a restaurant to finding investors, trainees and building a reputation enough to not have a debut flop is pretty fast. SM has been around for decades. I’d say NOG would be comparable to Jellyfish with VIXX. Or Big Hit with BTS. Where the company was around but hit it big when their one boy group got super popular. You can’t really tell in the drama wether the CEO started NOG himself or took over the CEO position from someone else after working his way up. So idk, NOG could have other groups that are older that helped establish the company and Shax is just their current big seller 🤷🏼‍♀️ The drama didn’t give us anymore detail I guess since it wasn’t really essential to the main storyline.
