On terms of repackage, this only applies to studio full albums not mini albums. I do purchase the repackage since sometimes the flow of the songs are better when they insert the newer songs. Like I love “married to the music” by shinee which is the repack of View. I thought it was a waste but it’s more perfect line up wise

The repackage b-sides are so good. Life Is Still Going On is definitely my most favorite NCT Dream b-sides ever. Bungee could pass as a title track. I have the same feeling with Dive Into You as well. It's definitely a grower. I came to like it after 3-4 listens. Also NCT 127 is coming back this September (finally after 1 and a half year wew) hope we're getting a listening party for them as well!

So the songs tied to NCT Dream’s friendship are “my youth”, “be there for you” and “rainbow”. Rocket has been known to be a shinee - esque song and irreplaceable is Dream’s church like song lol

Also I agree with what you said about the repackage stuffs. SM albums have huge physical sales but the artists themselves barely benefit from the profit. Like NCT 127 just had 1 million pre-order in one day alone for their upcoming album. You would thought they would gave more money to their artists or at least charge the repackage a lot less but nah lol. Tours, concerts and advertisements are their artists' main source of income but since the pandemic they haven't had the chance to go touring. Hope the artists still make enough money with how much work they put into

Almost every time you asked who was popping off vocally it was Renjun. For me NCT Dream is actually one of the easiest groups to tell their voices apart, maybe it's because I've seen a lot of their variety and other content and am familiar with their speaking voices, which are actually pretty similar to their singing or rapping voices. Renjun has such a light, airy, pure, innocent sounding voice, whereas Haechan's voice just has a really unique texture that I can always easily recognize as his, and Chenle, especially lately I think has mostly been singing with a heavier, lower kinda voice. I'm not really sure how to describe it but with Chenle his singing just sounds like his speaking?? idk lol his voice just has a unique weight to it compared to the other members.

My favorites from this album are probably Bungee and Rainbow. Their live performance of Rainbow is really good too. For me, over all, I think this album will always be special since it's our 1st 7dream full album, and there was a time we didn't know if that was ever gonna happen. So more than just the music, for me, this album is special cause of the history behind dream and what they went through to get to this point💚 Also 127 are finally having a comeback on the 17th with their 3rd full album "Sticker", that got 1.3 million in preorder sales on the first day. Maybe there could be a listening party for that one too? really been too long since punch though🥲 (Can't belive Haechan & Mark are doing 2 full length albums and 2 repackaged albums in a 6 month period😦)

Renjun’s voice has a strong vibrato since it’s sounds soo full in comparison to his regular singing tone. Chenle’s is just so clear like talking but his lower register helps the harmonies.

The vocals you've been loving were mostly Renjun! He has such a beautiful tone. And as someone else said it's easy to differentiate them once you learn their speaking voices better :) Fave song on the albums is hands down Rainbow! It made me so emotional. From the moment I saw the track video I was really anticipating hearing the full version and it did not disappoint!

Ah so glad you finally listened to a NCT Dream album, my personal faves were ANL, Rainbow, My Youth, and LISGO! Also does anyone know what 127 listening party PD mentioned at the beginning that they did? I couldn’t find it when trying to search the posts 😲

a way to tell the vocalists apart, renjun's voice is very breathy, thick, quite heavy and his vibrato is so good. chenle's voice is pretty light in weight and sometimes on the deeper end. haechan's voice is very unique, he has a high tone !

I feel like sometimes for NCT albums they try put too much versatility into one album and I end up liking only 2 or 3 tracks but I LOVED Hot Sauce/Hello Future. For me, the album has such a road trip vibe and maybe because I really love more vocal-heavy songs, I love so many of the tracks on this album. Personally, My Youth and Life Is Still Going On are my favourites but i love them all :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed reacting to this album, PD! I've been waiting for so long for you to listen to all of them! I'd suggest watching all their live performances and special performance videos for these songs because their live vocals just make the songs all the more enjoyable. I am just getting deeply into 7dream as well! Cos my ults would be 127 but dang dreamies really captured my attention this year. My favs would be rainbow, my youth and ANL! LISGO is also up there so yeahhh. Also PD u got me excited about when u said u did a listening party for 127 cos neo zone was that shiT🤌🏻

I have been waiting for this listening party for a while and I am so glad that you enjoyed the album! I have to say that I think the Dreamies' b-sides do sounds more like the traditional kpop that I used to listen to and maybe that's the reason why I'm very drawn to the Dreamies. My favourites in the album are Rainbow, My youth and ANL, but I like all the other songs as well. It's also funny that when you said you didn't like sm ballads my head immediately goes "Universe" though!! I have really enjoyed the listening party and can't wait for more!!!! Thank you so much!

Im surprised you dont like ballads that much since you love their voices and harmonies. Personally I think you can hear them more and they stand out more in ballads than the hype songs. Ive always been partial to ballads. My favs are My Youth, Rainbow, ANL, and Hello Future. While I love Be There I do feel it could have been a stronger ballad compared to the rest of the songs. The problem with S.M is that thet have some of and most of the best most amazing vocalists in all of kpop but sometimes their producing and styling choices dont do them justice. Its much better now than eveb 4 years ago but still. Anyways Im glad you loved it it was a really good first album for them it suits them as a group so well. I cant wait to see what their next comeback and album are!

Yasss I'm so happy to watch this and I'm glad that you vibed with the album I think this had a lot more feel good youthful young adult vibes to it which I love and it was very reminiscent of their older albums so I really hope you get to check them out especially We Go Up era and the one before not Go cause that was part of NCT 2018. But their older feel good songs had a teen youth to them but damn they have some magical songs there too so this album felt familiar. I was actually hoping for more mature funky type songs but I get why they chose these songs. I just wish Jisung got to have a lot more vocal parts because relistening to this there's even less vocals from him then I thought. I'm always waiting for how Jisung develops because he has such a beautiful voice but he didn't get much in NCT 2020 and now here he's stuck with rapping or sing rapping it's just a missed opportunity. I think their next album with be a lot more different but I hope that won't take a year plus

Also PD: *stops after most songs* This is a solid album for me because I only actively don't care for Be There for You & Hot Sauce, but I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite because none of the songs really "wowed" or resonated strongly with me. I'm super proud of them for FINALLY getting their first full album, though. Took you F***ING long enough, SM.

I am so glad you enjoyed this album! Dream has my favourite discography out of all my favourite kpop artists. Judging by your reaction I have a feeling you’ll really enjoy their other albums (I think they have 4 minis). I think that Dream has such natural progression with their music. When you listen from their earliest to their latest albums you can really hear the growth musically. Most of their songs have a really youthful/positive vibe to them. Also you don’t have to worry about ballads as be there for you was their first ever. I’m usually not a fan of ballads but one non exo sm ballad I really like is Timeless by NCT U!

My Youth might just be my favorite bside of 2021, and is maybe one of my favorites ever. I don't tend to care much for a lot of nct bsides but i get goosebumps everytime i hear this song, and this may be one of the strongest albums of the year imo
