rewatching this makes me feel so proud as an army, and it's like reminiscing the feelings i've had for them when im still trying to learn all their names. even before i started watching it, i already feel so proud.. bon voyage season 2 is actually my personal fave so i am really looking forward rewatching it with you.. 🥰

BTS really gives comfort to people. I think it’s their genuine friendship that captures us. I didnt expect to find healing by watching their shows but it really helped me get through medical school. Im curious to see PD’s reaction to their documentaries like “Burn the Stage” because it shows another side of them which is their life and struggles while being on tour. I hope he’ll get the chance to see it! Brings another perspective to bts

I really enjoyed rewatching this series. It's really fascinating watching it, knowing how big they are now. Can't wait for season two😊

idk if tae went through sth like very specific that changed him i feel like he just grew up (though i know he used to have quite hard time whne his grandma passed away in september2016) . at the beginning of bts he used to be this big 4D kid who was really carefree which you can really see in bv1. then i feel like he found new thing that he liked and eventually became much more calm and ... well reserved is not the right word but he became more likely to internalize things rather than share them outside. and i think the transition phase from the 4D kid to who we know now was hard on him. since people would think hes sad etc when in reality he was just thinking. he grew out of his 'childlishness' if you can call it that. please corrrect me if im wrong. I cant wait for the whiplass the in the soop 2 will give you after bv1

i had already watched the first few episodes of bv1 last year but i couldn't finish it since all of the members losing their stuff just stressed me out way too much lol. so this is my first time watching the remainder if the series and im so glad i chose to watch it with you so we could share the stress lol. i really love bv probably more than in the soop since it provides healing but also a great balance of humour anbd entertainment which is more my style. i've also put off watching in the soop season 2 so i can watch it with you and i'm very excited. i can't wait till you get to the other seasons of bv, especially 4 which is my personal favourite. so glad you loved this series pd :)

I started this series with you and I agree, it was so extraordinary to know what they became while watching them expressing their feelings and wishes for the future without knowing how much they would achieve... this two last episodes really touched me Looking forward to its2 :))

so, as far as Tae goes. He has honestly just grown and matured a lot. I will say, actually the year this was filmed, 2016, he did go through quite a bit. 2016, WINGS era, was the year that his grandmother passed, it was also the year antis really latched on to attacking him during that exact he was in mourning--and that's when BigHit started sue-ing people as well, but I think it was just something he decided. He felt it was time for him to mature and he's still the same loving, goofy Tae, just not in the same ways that he was during the very early years of BTS. And unfortunately we never got to hear those Santa letters because BTS never got them. They mentioned that at some point, I don't remember when, but it turns out that they all wrote the address wrong?? or something, but they got lost in the mail :( Who knows where they are now lmao I became an ARMY in very late 2014 so I got to watch this as it aired and while it was airing I was just super happy. BTS were growing and I could feel just immense love for them as I watched this and thought that they're such good people, they deserve the success they're getting. It FELT like it was going to be a big year, which it was. They got their first few daesangs--I just felt happy watching them enjoy their time and eager to see where they would go. And now... watching again this time, its a very nostalgic feeling because I look at these boys and I wish I could tell them that more than they ever dreamed of is on the way for them. They went through so much during the early years, ofc they still do, but its different, but seeing them this young on the brink of what they'll become, I just see them and wish I could tell the them of back then that they have so much love in store for them from millions of people. I'm going to LA to see BTS at teh concerts and i'm just... ecstatic. I miss them so much.

I wrote a really long and emotional comment here when I finished watching the episode and it's not here anymore 😭 this is the second time that's happening to me on Patreon and it sucks :(( does patreon delete comments if you edit them twice or something? it bothers me if I misspell stuff so I usually edit afterwards. Anyway, I loved re-watching the series with you PD and I really appreciate everything you said about BTS here. Really looking forward to In The Soop 2 and BV2!

I've recently been rewatching old BTS content and it's truly like watching an underdog story come to life. Also Taehyung recently shared with ARMY that his MBTI changed. He's now INFP (like me lol) instead of ENFP that he always shared he was. Also, I'm curious since BTS are livestreaming the LA concert on Dec 2 and it's at a normal time for you (7 pm PST) would you plan on watching it? I know you said you'd like to watch concerts but if they weren't at like 5 am lol.

Yay! I can't wait until the next season of bon voyage (I'm excited for Soop too). With Bon Voyage I think is steadily gets better every season similarly to BTS Run.

I watched this series first when it aired and haven't watched it in its entirety until now. In my mind Bon Voyage season 1 wasn't that long ago, but seeing it now I realize how long ago this was. Seeing how much BTS has grown is simply amazing. It was the little things, seeing their old dorm & their fashion. When you watch something from close up it's hard to get perspective, so looking back is great to see how far they've all come!

On Taehyung seeming different now- he has openly said that he has had a difficult time struggling with depression and mental health the past couple of years. Blue and Gray off of BE was originally written by him during this period. The content you've seen of them has mostly taken place in 2020, which was during this time period.

yess i agree with everything that you said in the end! i really enjoyed rewatching this series along with you. i became an army in 2018 so the first bv series i experienced coming out was bv season 3. three years later in 2021 and i still hadn’t gotten to watching bv season 1 or 2 😟 but after i saw you were going to be starting season 1 i was like okay why not start it now! i binge watched the series a month ago i think and i went through the same emotions you felt watching it bc the place that they’re in now is beyond words. makes me very happy that you decided to start from the very beginning with season 1! i have yet to finish season 2 of bv but i will be binge watching it before i can rewatch it along with you! can’t wait for you to see in the soop season 2 :) it’s so good!!

bt is the reason i got into twice actually LOL, Jungkook danced to ooh ah ooh ah a lot. And then i saved it on my phone cause it was so catchy. I think it was the first kpop song i ever saved aside from bts at first :')

oh wow, thats crazy! I became an army the same year and have rewatched all their series countless times, including american hustle life, rookie king, bts gayo, etc. Definitely watch season 2, to me it was the best season!! They seemed so happy and carefree :')

I was busy this week so I finish this ep now. Well I start my journey with BTS with (idol), I had no idea what is kpop mean or how big BTS were or anything.. I just felt they are nice people and I want know about them so I start bon voyage as my first show. So I wasn't familiar with there real names, also I had no idea what maknae means.. But I remember I had alot of fun and there last message for ARMY what made me want to be part of that.. 6 month later I figure out they are biggest boy group in the world 😂 (I was youtube user so I didn't know there is a lot of people who stan them too until I create twt account)

first time watching this, and I think this and bon voyage season 2 are the only two I haven't seen, so it was definitely a trip! really enjoyed your thoughts PD, and watching this while knowing who they are now (personality and world-wise), it's very refreshing and gives you a lot of thoughts later on too! thanks for reacting/watching this, I really enjoyed the whole experience!
