I haven't finished the last two episodes of GP999 and I've been SO careful avoiding spoilers... Then I just went on YouTube to film an itzy video and immediately the first thing YouTube suggests to me is the new Billlie video with Suyeon in the thumbnail T_T 

Dammit Suyeon was on my list of kep1er candidates. Also what is this, a comeback? Didn't they debut like... a month ago?

Also yes, Mystic Story cut Ring x Ring promotions early because they had a covid scare at one of the music shows, so instead they worked on a Christmas digital single with all seven of them, called Snowy Night(released on the day Kep1er was supposed to debut 😅). The song had actually been in the works before they even debuted so they were almost ready to go anyways, just had to add Suyeon(aka Sheon/션). Edit to add: Mystic also said they were already working on the next comeback(before they announced the Christmas single so idk if they were referring to that, or both) - so I think they might have a full fledged comeback by February! (only my own speculation, fyi)

Look at the bright side, you can now treat yourself to all of the Billlie content that you were missing to avoid spoilers! I recommend watching the first live stage for ring x ring where Suyeon was added, then the mv for the Christmas song, and then You can try to fit the variety from this Christmas single era in your regular variety watching plans :)

Ah, please just binge the show. The final lineup, to not spoil anything, is a bit surprising, and a lot of kpop-related videos have one of the unlikely (for now) members on thumbnails, (clickbaity little content creators). It’s like with I-LAND — you remembered Jay being in the final lineup (my boy is so memorable), and his whole mid-low ranking hanging on, all the will he/won’t he was not that impactful.

She was added middle of promotion for ringxring it was bound to happen she represented Mystic Story on GP999... and when she was added she was introduce officially in a special ot7 stage for ringxring... as a matter of fact when she was announced she joined them they worked on their xmas special right away even shortening their promotion for ringxring...

Oh no sorry this happened PD! This is why I always try to watching things as live as possible, or else I will inevitable get spoiled in a super unexpected way. Do you plan on watching Boy's Planet or I-Land 2? You might want to try and watch them live-ish.

I mean sooner or later it was kinda inevitable to be spoiled in some kind of way, i was already very impressed how you made it so far with no spoilers about this show. I watched the show after already knowing who made it & who didn't and let me tell you it took away a lot of anxiety and was still fun to watch :)

hmm, since it’s already been spoiled i’m curious what your thoughts are on it? i know a few people have been angry that her addition seemed so hasty and messily executed. she was added so soon after debut and in the midst of promotions, she was given the stage name sheon because there was already a suyeon in the group, her first appearance was in a music show with no special introduction, etc. i’m of course just overjoyed to see her debut cuz she was one of my top picks, but i was curious about your thoughts as a producer?

^The other member is Suhyeon, but the reason still stands with them being similar names. Tbh, I don't feel Mystic handled her introduction the best - but I also think it's because they had to act fast because there was a news leak about her officially being added to Billlie (around this time the company had only said they were "positively considering" it) and they wanted to get ahead of it. A decent amount of Korean fans were unhappy with how she "just appeared" on that last stage but those who were following them closely knew it was coming, the choreographers of RxR were already spoiling on IG that they were working with all 7(presumably to rework the choreo). But after Snowy Night, I think most of those who were unhappy have accepted the lineup now.

The pain of being behind on survival shows ;-; I always try to stay up to date and watch it live since nowadays the ones who make it far but didn’t make the cut always has a new debut plan ready to go. If you plan on watching the girl’s season of I-LAND and boys planet next year, I’d definitely try to watch it live to avoid spoilers

I was so worried about that thumbnail when they put it up 😭😭 no it’s not a comeback, it’s just a Christmas song (but a very creepy, on-brand Christmas song, I actually like it). But trust me Suyeon will still surprise you in GP999! Just wait to see her final rank!

It's unfortunate that you got spoiled about Suyeon. So just a heads up...like someone said kep1er's variety show is on mnet's M2 channel so if you go there you might get spoiled because of the thumbnails. They don't have any teasers for the debut on youtube yet and the schedule is halted for now but some places are already confirming the debut date for January 3rd so they are probably confident that the members that got covid will recover in time and the debut will not be delayed again. So some concept trailers, highlight medley and mv teasers with spoilery thumbnails might start popping around in your recommendations or first page. My guess is that the teasers might restart on the last week of december.

Ahh it's so unfortunate that happened :( I really think it's best to binge watch the last 2 episodes as soon as you can because the risks of getting even more spoilers is too big. There's a bunch of youtube vids about Kep1er which obviously spoil the lineup with their thumbnail, it would suck if you saw one of them.

I think a very essential thing you must do before watching the final episode is to look at the final interim rankings. The Monday after episode 11, we received the current rankings of the trainees at that time. It's very important context to see those rankings to possibly understand how viewers of the show during its airing felt at the time. There were many surprises to say the least, which is thought to be explained by the change in voting system which many have noted for you to pay attention to.

Forgot to mention this before!! Since you only have 2 episodes left the new top 9 was released during a pajama livestream hosted by Tiffany Young. It was a livestream geared towards knowing the girls personalities better. At the end of the episode the current top 9 and the rest of the spots for the final voting was revealed (bc mnet did not like it). So you might want to look that up beforehand!
