omg i'm rewatching this the first time since watching it back when it first aired and they really came so far 🥲❤ its also funny to see how awkward they were around bts back then bc nowadays theyre a lot closer. the txt members keeping in contact with them, calling them hyung...

Oh I loved this a lot! I'm also one of the people who watched them debut and didn't Quite Get Into Them (though Our Summer was on my playlist in 2019 lol) until I Know I Love You! I have also fallen deep deep into this rabbit hole and can't find a way out...it's kind of great. Listening to you talk about confidence and txt's journey through it was cool because I agree, and I think it gets even /more/ noticeable when you get to content from around blue hour era (which I can't wait for you to get to). Watching them grow into who they are as artists and people :') I'm so endeared by them. Also, on the topic of being fluent in English: Yeonjun has actually lived in the US more than Kai has! He's said that some of his family live over there still, and he attended elementary school in the US for atleast 2-3 years (In San Jose I think)? Kai was only there for a month before he went off to live in China for 9 years and then back to Korea! But both of them are pretty good at English plus they've been speaking it more now. And lol, Taehyun was in a bunch of English lesson ads as a kid, if that counts (he's pretty good at comprehension too i think) AND HARD AGREE ON THE WAY THE LIMINAL SPACE OF AN AIRPLANE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I DON'T EXIST (in a nice way)

It's so funny how both TXT and ITZY debuted around the same time and had a showcase tour in the usa in their first year

Wow watching this again made me slightly emotional. I've been watching them since their debut and was able to see their growth thru the years. I feel really proud of them! They definitely started very shy and reserved. I think it's not only from them adjusting to the industry but it's more of the fear of making any mistakes because of the amount of pressure put on them because they're the group after bts. There were alot of prejudice against them since the start, and people assumed right away that they’re not worth it. Bang PD once said in their company briefing that for txt, it was hard to show their growth compared to other rookies because they started at a high note and is compared with bigger artists right away. I'm really happy that people are discovering more about them being TXT and not just being BTS' younger brothers. On a brighter note, it was so endearing seeing them interact with bts at first especially Taehyun and Jungkook's story! TXT calls BTS' as hyungs now and would tell behind stories about them once in a while so i think they're close now. I believe jungkook even gave taehyun some boxing gloves to use when working out in hybe's gym haha. PS, it was your PUMA Studio Choom reaction where you said Taehyun reminded you of Jungkook. I aslo remembered i that moment! If you really want to see more of their personalities behind the scenes, I recommend that you watch their TalkxToday series as well after One Dream! It’s a vlog like content of them preparing for their comebacks or having group trips before promotions. There’s also a season wherein they showed their pre-debut trip when they went to the US to train. I’m hoping they’ll have their own In the Soop version one day.

They've done English interviews that give a much better insight into their English abilities than here! I think the English skill ranking is 1. Yeonjun 2. Kai/Taehyun 3. Beomgyu/Soobin. Yeonjun lived in America for two years in elementary school, so his accent and understanding is really good, I think he was just nervous lol. Kai has a great accent, but his vocabulary and comprehension isn't as good as Yeonjun. He was born the US, but was raised in China/Korea. Taehyun is really good, I think his comprehension and conversational ability is actually a bit higher than Kai's, but Kai has the better accent. Beomgyu and Soobin are both proficient in English and can communicate well, but the other members are better. I think they were all just super nervous talking to the pizza guy.

I think Soobin also has evolved so much over the time. It must be difficult sometimes if you're the only introvert in a bunch of extroverts.

ahh i’m so glad you’re watching this series!! it’s definitely one of my favorites and i can’t wait for the rest of the reactions! in terms of their english speaking, they’ve all really improved since then, but in general i’d say yeonjun speaks the most in an “American” tone/cadence. not sure if they mentioned it in the series, but yeonjun lived in california for about 2 years for school so he seems to have picked up and kept that way of speaking!

when they debuted, i genuinely remember being like "i don't know how they're gonna improve from this, they're already perfect" but they have seriously grown so much every comeback!! it's really refreshing to see this again knowing how they're now, and i can't help but be really proud of them!

I was aware of TXT since their debut, but I think similarly to you it didn't fully grab my attention, so I kind of forgot about them until Run Away came out. That was when I truly fell in love, and now I can say they are one of my absolute favorite groups. Their music often has such a nostalgic vibe for me, and I can really feel the sincerity in how they speak and act. I'd say that them and Ateez are kind of like my "comfort groups". I also really appreciate your talk about airplanes and how they relieve stress, I think you put into words what I feel when I'm flying. It's definitely a unique type of freedom (although I still don't like sleeping on them lol).

watching people fall in love with txt makes my heart flutter every time. they truly are such a special group that you will connect with on a very deep level. just you wait til you catch up to their current content muahaha

There are a lot of similarities in my perception of TXT with yours. I followed them from the debut since it was kind of impossible not to know about the first-ever new boy group from BigHit after BTS, and I liked their debut song. Genuinely. I liked the album, Crown was good (even though the mv was not my fav), Cat and Dog would be stuck in my head all day, Our Summer was just really good, and the same goes for other songs. However, I tried to follow their content, but kinda felt too disconnected (I have never followed any kpop group except for bts, and bts had a lot to offer, so I was in this rabbit hole for 3-4 years). So I stayed just a casual listener for txt, watching their comeback performances and occasionally some behind videos. And let me tell you, each comeback was better than the previous. Run Away was SO FREACKING GOOD, I forced all of my friends to listen to it. I was even more shocked with Can't You See Me, since the sound and concept ware so different, yet still very TXT, and it was really good! Btw, the Eternally album is still my fav, all songs are just perfect! Even Blue Hour which really is not my genre and type of concept in the end was played non-stop in my playlist. Their music is just so fucking good, like seriously. So I was a casual listener until then, I would just watch their live performances since they are really good singers, but that's it. Then Soobin became an MC of Music Bank, and him and Arin were too fucking adorable, the Dolphin song got me in, so I was learning more and more about Soobin and always felt like a proud mom. Then txt suddenly became funnier and loud. And then their concept trailer for Chaos Chapter dropped, where they were doing all this crazy acrobatic stuff, and I lost my shit. Since that day, I watched EVERYTHING txt had to offer. I fell in love or I felt in another rabbit hole, I became even more attached to them, than to bts. I just love them. It was growing slowly and steadily, and now I am there. I am a fan.

I also love the difference that BigHit made between their groups. Txt is different. Their personalities are different, their vibes, their appearance, their tastes. And it's great. I love how I can just consider two groups (bts and txt) being brothers under the same label. Not an appendix coming from one unit, but two very separate groups.

If you want to see more TXT x BTS interactions then you should check out the Big Hit Family photoshoot video that was released in 2020! It’s around 25 minutes long but you get to see that How they interview each other and it’s cute to see how they all interact especially when BTS members realize how tall all the TXT boys are

Oh I wanted to add about the BTS showcase, technically their first American showcase was during the show American Hustle Life in LA for like 200 people but for their first tour they did like 4 cities in North America and it had some issues because someone posted death threats to RM and even had alleged pictures of the weapon they were going to use so they canceled the fansigns for the concert and I think the New York concert got cut short. I think the scam thing you’re thinking of was for the group Rainz where like 4 people in their 20’s scammed people by making a fake concert that was supposed to include them and some other idols

This show really made me fall in love with TXT. I'm really happy you're checking this out, one thing about TXT that I discovered whole watching this is how much they do love being on and shine on stage. Like even if they are more awkward/shy on camera during this debut period - the stark contrast in how sure of themselves they are as artist when performing, is really magical to watch as you'll see in this series. This is my comfort show, so I'm glad to be able to watch you experience this side of them. Btw, as you did in this ep don't stop watching till the next time stuff comes up - coz yo get to see snippets of their perspectives of their experiences that they wrote in their diaries. If you ever get the chance after you finish the series I'd say ewad their diaries on Weverse, it's a really eye opening perspective of who they are as individuals, what they think and i was honestly shocked about how honest they are in their diaries (all their different personalities really come through when you read the diaries), it made me love them just that bit more. Honestly Runaway made get into kpop, and I was just a casual listener's kpop because of Runaway - then I watched this show, fell down the rabbit hole of TXT and honestly I have never been disappointed with the music they've put out and I'm actually shocked that I've never been in the position of not vibing with the songs they put out. Anyway thank you for the reaction!

Same! I also watched them debut and didn’t get into them until the I love you era the runaway almost had me. And it’s kind of amazing to see how much they’ve grown a lot in music since they debut since I’ve watched every comeback since their debut and it’s also quite interesting to see how I perceive the members another I’m getting into them how my perception of them has changed.

I'm so happy to see you falling for them like this. There's something about TXT, they're so endearing that you can't help but fall in love with them. They're just very real, honest people, they are absolutely sincere about the love they have for each other and their fans but they set very clear boundaries with their fans and honestly that's the best thing ever. You'll see how they keep evolving and finding themselves through these shows. Soobin has talked a few times recently about how he feels more at ease with himself now because he went from trying to be the person he thought everyone was expecting him to be to finding his own voice and being himself. They truly are very open with their emotions. And at the and they're just a bunch of nerds with a very weird sense of humor and no shame 😭 I really really love them.
