Was I the only one, who thought, during watching it for the first time, that these are the final line ups and in the next rounds they would just have battles like in Kingdom for example?

WiseSmellyLegs

I have been keeping this question for myself since the 9th episode, because I did not want to spoil anything… Why did you think Koki would choose JYPEnt? I do not mean it in a way I would not agree. Actually Koki is the only one, who I am thinking about that he would fit JYPEnt, if I compare him to all of others. I mean, all 5 P-Nation former trainees are obviously more connected with PSY and although only SungJun got to choose between both of them, I would say every one of them would have chosen P-Nation as well, if they were asked. EunHwi and Daniel were able to choose and as you said Daniel was asking the wrong questions about his future free time, so P-Nation was the right choice and in case with EunHwi, as J.Y. said, between EunHwi and PSY some connection was created, so he fits P-Nation perfectly. Kim DongHyun was casted only by PSY, but he did not give me the JYPEnt vibe, so I would say he would have chosen P-Nation anyway. I do not have any big reason for Lee YeDam being in P-Nation rather than in JYPEnt, but it feels right somehow. Maybe because P-Nation is hip hop focused and it was also PSY’s main point to focus on during P Nation round and Lee YeDam is so so so much into hip hop. But with Koki… I do not know, how to express myself… Maybe because he is such a hard worker and maybe because JYPEnt is more focused on dancing than P-Nation is? This next question is hard to answer, because we do not know, if JYP and PSY were able to talk to each other about their choice, who they want to choose from those, who were put on hold. But do you think JYP did not want Koki after all? Or did they talk to each other and JYP decided to let PSY have him? On the other hand they could let Koki choose on his own… since JYP chose only Kang Hyun Woo and he was able to cast one more… Like I do not want to spoil anything and although I am not able to tell, how many things of the whole show they had preplanned, I know, why JYP casted only 9 members, but we will get to all of these things in next weeks. To tell something about the whole team of JYP. Except Kang Hyun Woo and Yoon Min, I would say all of them fit JYPEnt more than P-Nation, maybe Park Yong Geon is questionable a bit… Kang Hyun Woo and Yoon Min fit P-Nation more, because they are both producers and creative and I know JYP said the future group would be self-produced as Stray Kids is/are, but on the other hand this thing is brand new for JYPEnt and Stray Kids or better to say 3racha are the first ones to be like that, before them JYP used to be so involved in every group’s music production, so I am not saying JYP was lying, but I would rather be cautious about this particular fact. And also both of them were only in teams with members of Team P-Nation, so they know them more than those of Team JYP and in case of Yoon Min, PSY said he would have casted him, if he had more casting cards, so he did not expect JYP would cast him and I think PSY planned to put him on hold to take him later on. But with Yoon Min I have one more question, which I will keep for myself for now.

I adore your sweater

WiseSmellyLegs

Me too! I was surprised PD wears something in different colours than black/darker tones.

With Keiju, I'd always thought he'd pick JYPE because I think during audition round he specifically mentioned wanting to become an 'idol' (not singer, dancer, etc.). With Koki I feel like he fits P Nation because he's a krumper, fighting spirit and all... and they'll need a dance leader too. Must say though, I wanted JYP to fill all 10 seats so it'll be equal numbers battles at the start. But here we are... Can't wait to see what you think of the live performances! :)

Andreeeea

You're gonna be happy knowing that Kyungmoon did in fact not give up on becoming an idol and went on to join Brand New Music. They just announced their new boy group which includes Kyungmoon so we're hopefully gonna see a lot more of him in the future.

Serena

Kyungmoon is debuting in a new group by Brandnew Music so at least we will see him there very soon :')

the upcoming episodes have some of my favorite performance in the show, can't wait for your reactions

onyx.

i don’t know if you know this PD, but I recommend you to watch Pnation LOUD team’s content after you finish the show. It’s just so good and it shows more of the team’s chemistry. There are 3 series: 1 is “PLOUD” consisting of 10 eps, a series that took place while they were filming LOUD which is the one I recommend you to react to. another 1 is “Welcome to Pnation” which is a 3 episode series that focuses more on variety games. and the last one is “Pnation News” which is an ongoing series that has 3 eps so far (once per month) and its super creative, their content is quite refreshing to watch ^^

onyx.

the top 2 people that i am personally and emotionally rooting for are JunHyeok & Eunhwi, not just because of their talent, but also like you said, the potential and i am just more emotionally invested in both of them. The others that I really want them to debut through LOUD are Yedam, Yoonmin, and Hyunsoo. but I genuinely like the majority of them

Jenni Laine

For me at this point i was emotionally invested in Kyungjun the most because I just relate to him a lot with being introverted and shy. I don't think being an introvert is a bad thing at all so it's rly cool seeing his journey so far cause I don't think i've ever seen any idols who r as shy as he is. He is just very inspiring to me because he is not letting that part of himself stop his growth. Introverts can do this too! And i love that representation. 😊🙏 I also just really enjoy his performance skills and for some reason the tone of his voice is like rly cool and attractive to me :Ddd I also really like JunHyeok and Eunhwi. PNation has most of my favourites. As someone who does dancing as a hobby K-ju impresses me everytime 🤌 he is my fav dancer out of them right now.

OMG! With this part, when you are sharing your thoughts about current Kpop situation of so many “just good enough” groups, I feel totally the same and I was saying the exact same words to someone, who I talked about Kpop. Definitely one problem are greedy businessmen of some quickly created labels, who do not understand the Kpop market and the scene or actually do not even know anything about music in general. Like yeah, they can hire workers for that, but it is not the same as if the CEO/the one above everyone takes a part in the production and everything. I mean… look at J.Y. Park to where he has made it… Obviously the reason for those businessmen to do that is the global hype about Kpop, so as you said, they just want to gamble. But the second problem and also reason I see, why it all happened to debut “just good enough” trainees, are these survival shows and their big popularity, which they gained in the third generation of Kpop. I know there were shows even before, but it was not such a big thing and it happened only here and there a few times or maybe even less. But with those survival shows many trainees gained recognition and fans and those, who did not debut were not bad, they were “just good enough”, but that did not change their fans’ opinion about them, so they came back to their company or were asked by some company to join them and it was not like: “Okay, we will train you more, to be the best and then debut”, it was more like: “Nearly every possible label had some former contestant, so they needed to debut them as soon as possible, to use the hype around them and maybe the labels had some other well trained trainees already at least, or it was even worse, because their trainees were “sort of just good enough”. Since Kpop is not going to go down in a couple years at least, I feel like this will go on more and more. The “businessmen problem” for sure obviously. But survival shows as well. I am not saying Produce 101 was the only reason and the only survival show, why it all happened, but it was the main one. For a while I thought it was over or at least not that big as it used to be. But with reskinned Produce 101 to Girls Planet 999, I feel like we are getting there all over again… And actually I think this affect Kpop in a bad way. Those training years and training system are crucial and key things for Kpop and it is the reason, why those idols of the first and second generation are so iconic and memorable. So I do not know, where it will all go. Not just because of shortened training system, there are many more aspects of Kpop, which are changing a bit, but that is another topic… The thing I wanted to say is that I am not sure, where the border line and the main difference between Kpop and Pop will be. (By the way… because of what I have written above, I had never watched neither liked any survival shows and LOUD was the only one, which really interested me, so I gave it a try and I am glad I did that, but on the other hand, from what I have heard, LOUD is so different from any other survival show…)

WiseSmellyLegs

오성준 - 오성준 - 오성준 Oh Sung Jun - Oh Sung Jun - Oh Sung Jun I am not sure if this comment will help, but the one member, who you have been into since his GOING CRAZY performance is 오성준 (OH SUNG JUNG). I do not mean it in a bad or offensive way. When you couldn’t remember his name at the first time I was like: “Okay, PD has to watch plenty of videos every day…” but since he is one of your top favorite ones, I feel sad for him that all other members have their actual name, but he is “the one, who sang his dad’s favorite song” 😆😆

Nice! That's AB6IX's label, right? They'll have good Sunbae's to learn from!

Zesti

I absolutely loved this show when I first watched it, but I have to say I'm getting so much more out of it by watching you react and listening to your take on things. I'm so super stoked for the respective groups to debut. I've also gained a huge appreciation for PSY as a producer and have newfound respect for JYP. I don't know if this show could ever be reproduced or if this was a one time thing. What do you think?

Deniz Ak

First of all, I really can't wait for episode 12 because from episode 12 onwards every single performance is absolutely legendary even more so than the previous performances so prepare to be completely mindblown from now on xD Second, I kind of feel like Keiju is the Ni-Ki from Iland in this show, i mean they are both japanese and extremely good at dancing. Both of them also struggled a lot in the beginning with Keiju being on the verge of elimination in round 2 and niki being sent to the ground after their first performance but since then both of them have shown a lot of growth throughout their shows and the closer we got to the end of the show, both of them became top candidates for debuting.

WiseSmellyLegs

I make my notes/write my comment during watching it with you, but since you asked us to write to where we would like Keiju to go, I’ll write it separately. JYPEnt, basically for those reasons you said. I’ll mention in my another comment that I would not mind to have in in my “P Nation dream team”, but the thing is he doesn’t have the P Nation vibe and “hipness” PSY is looking for. He wouldn’t be bad in Team P Nation, but JYPEnt suits him more. (And also after what PSY said to lure Keiju to P Nation, I am glad that Koki will be the first one to make the path to Japan 😹😹👌🏾👌🏾)

Malaki.H

Pd you and jyp are soulmates lol

I pretty much cried at the end when KyungMoon didn't get casted so I was so relieved to find out that he got picked up for debut at a different label!!!

WiseSmellyLegs

Not in the way like “LOUD 2”, that after a few years JYPSY would come together to make another boygroups. Actually I don’t even think both of them would do their next boygroup through a survival show. Or maybe in the way as Stray Kids were done or Pentagon, that the show is more of a promotion, since all of them will make it eventually. But in case with P Nation it would make people to compare the new group to the previous one even more, so that seems also unlikely. But! I can imagine PSY doing a survival show for his first girl group! Maybe on his own as I said as a promotion. Or maybe with someone else as he did LOUD with JYP, although PSY mentioned in another episodes that JYP asked him to do this together, so it wasn’t PSY’s idea (although I feel like it is making a huge promotion for whole P Nation)… But I don’t think they would do the “female LOUD” together again, like JYP did a similar thing to LOUD years ago, when he was forming 2PM and 2AM with BigHit, but with girl groups, he has always done it on his own…

Ivy Jaggers

I love Re-watching this with you! I will say I love the way they formatted this show! I think it really let the boys shine. However the one thing I am really upset about is the fact that the only person they didn’t show’s audition was you was Yeonggeon and he actually got recruited. Please view it here https://youtu.be/xC3UlpQxY2Y I think it helps to understand why he was selected. It’s seems so random with out it. I love Seung Gi’s role in the show. I really believe that although he wasn’t supposed to have faves he might have had a soft spot for Yoon Min. He seemed to have a connection and fought hard to get him recruited! I love Yoon Min so much and I was so happy for it. I can’t wait to see the next episodes with you !

Michelle R.

Ooo I did not know this was a thing!!! I’d be super interesting in seeing PD’s take on it though. Perhaps after Loud is finished???

LoLo

My biggest take away from this episode is that PD... you should just create your own survival program/idol group because you are exactly on par with what JYP and Psy are saying too LOL. But seriously,,, I was super distraught when Kyeongmun wasn't chosen. He was definitely in my top picks (along with Amaru, Daniel and Junhyeok). Super happy he's debuting in the new Brand New bg... will definitely have to support him in that!

cy

Kyungjun: His confidence really shined through this performance compared to his previous ones and I think throughout this show it really shows that he was street casted for his looks rather than for any skill he has, although I'm sure he does have an interest in being an idol given how far he's come. On the street casting thing with Hyunjin, he actually said that he was bad at both dancing and rapping when he first started out and in skz's survival show he was actually criticized for his diction and vocalization of his rapping for quite a fair amount. (unrelated note but I'd really recommend watching the skz survival show even if it's been 5 years because it really gets you to understand where skz came from and what they struggled with as trainees, I think you'd be surprised to learn some things about them!) I 100% agree that Kyungjun needs to find his own style now that he has enough skill much like how all these other street casted trainees did. (also why does he look so much like a more angular version of Kim Wooseok,, they look like literal twins) Dongyeon: I had no idea who he was while watching LOUD for the first time and seeing his performance now, I really wish he could have been given more screentime (but tbh LOUD has one of the most even screentimes I've seen in the survival shows I watched) I wish that we could have seem more of his progress throughout the show though ;-; His performance was great and I especially loved his fire and passion in this. I do agree with JYP that his dancing could have been better though, his moves could have been sharper and more refined but I still think he danced well and fits the kpop mould well. It feels like PSY really wanted him but couldn't go forward, if he had performed in one of the earlier groups I think PSY would definitely have gone forward. Minsung: Overall, I felt like he didn't do the ateez song justice and I think that he is quite talented but he should have gone a different route in this performace (just like kyeongmun). I'm glad that LOUD is choosing to select extraordinary trainees rather than just trainees with enough talent; both P Nation and JYP's groups at the end would probably stand out from the current kpop landscape. Hyunsoo: His rapping really shocked me this round, I've always pegged him as more of a singer. I like that he brought something new to the table in this performance, but compared to the other ex trainees' performances (such as junhyeok's and taehun's) it would be inevitable that he's held to a higher standard. One thing that he does have going for him is that he's a better rapper than some of the other P nation trainees although I do think with Daniel in their lineup he would definitely be glossed over. Also with that comparison to Lee Know: I can see him being that member who plays a similar role in the group but I'd still say his position in the group would be slightly different. Lee Know has a professional hip hop dance background and it doesn't really show on stage but in skz's professional dynamic he's their dance leader who guides the members in choreography. From what he's shown us so far, I don't think Hyunsoo necessarily has that kind of talent in one area but he's more well rounded. Regardless, I think he deserved that casting by PSY and I'm so glad he made it into the lineup for now! Taehun: I think he was just too nervous to perform his best and I don't think he's vocally strong enough to match up with exo's vocals and deliver it well. Regardless of how he performed I agree that in rounds 2 to 4 he has proven that he's more than capable though! Donghyeon: Wow is all I can say. He has improved so much since his first performance and given how fast he improves I'm sure if he debuts he'd have a solid foundation. He has that natual charm and talent on the stage and after this 5th round I can really see why JYP and PSY were raving over him. I think that he would have gone to JYP regardless; he fits the group's colour so much compared to P Nation's. Keiju: What you said about sexiness and how it's perceived in korea vs western countries was so accurate, the distinction between sex itself and sexiness as an aesthetic is so much more clear in korea. I enjoy watching your commentary on kpop content so much because you often offer insights which I don't realise myself and can analyse things from both a western and korean/asian perspective :> For his performance itself, I think he still has quite some work to do in the vocal department but he's just that good of a kpop dancer that he must make it into the final lineup. I really think that he has the potential to be one of the best performers of this new generation with enough polishing and him expressing himself as an artist. I strongly think that he should have gone to JYP and I'm so glad he did, with people like Amaru and Donghyeon in the lineup right now I think he would mesh well with them way more than with the P Nation lineup! Gyehun: I was so excited to watch your reaction to his performance and I really felt that he really got to show his 5 years of experience this round. His lyrics really make me wish I could understand korean ;-; I completely agree with the statement that he needs to be in a group with complete creative freedom because he has such an artistry to him that many trainees or even idols don't have. (possible spoilers but in a clip posted on twitter by their official account, the jyp loud group was in bang chan's old studio so maybe they are producing their songs??) Most idols don't even become full-fledged performers until a year or two after debut but even as a trainee I feel like he has what it takes to eventually shine as a soloist. He's only 18 too, his future is definitely bright :D Also I love that he wanted to be a singer because of Running Man, the whole craze in southeast asia with running man in 2012/3 was what brought me to kpop eventually :D As for Koki, I believe that he has the maturity and talent to debut and I don't even think it's an age issue with Donghyun (the one in P nation) being a few months older than him. Rather, I suspect that it's because of how he looks like a kid and admittedly this can be quite jarring for some kpop stans, myself included. I do think that some people would be uncomfortable with stanning him and if you look at P nation's lineup right now, Koki is an 09 liner who is seven years younger than their oldest members who are born in 2002. Being this young will also be quite cumbersome with Korea's laws on minors working and all those restrictions carrying over years into his career. As for the next episode: it'll be a live broadcast so the pace definitely feels a lot more slower BUT i think it's important to take note that the trainees have had around a month (i think?) to prepare for all the live round episodes so they'd be trained up a little! looking forward to your thoughts on that one :> I personally found some of the elimination criteria of those episodes questionable but I'm excited to hear your thoughts!!

Julian

Am I the only one who is rooting for HyunWoo? I think he is underrated and I was so happy when JYP saved him.

WiseSmellyLegs

Woo Kyung Jun: I understand, why he chose Good Boy, but it was not a good choice… G-Dragon and TaeYang or whole BIGBANG is the group, which performs on the stage as nobody else, which means it was too big a bite for him to be able to show them, how much he has changed Speaking of his rap. I mentioned this before with Kim Dong Hyun. With Woo Kyung Jun I cannot get over the feeling of him, that he is just “pretending” to be a rapper, as you said he is an assigned rapper, which in case with Kim Dong Hyun we can see his passion for rap and that is the key thing, which is Woo Kyung Jun missing. Youn Dong Yeon: To remind you him a bit, he was in the duo with Oh Sung Jung in the second round, where they performed THE SONG, which made you scream so much, so I had to turn down the volume on my TV. That song was GOING CRAZY. I do not know, what is the reason not to give him enough screen time, but that is not only in his case, but with many others as well… We were not able to see his audition. But besides Going Crazy, he performed with Cheon Jun Hyeok and Na Yun Seo I Need U by BTS and then 10 out of 10 with Koki, Kim Min Seoung, Lee Gye Hun and Choi Tae Hun. So since he performed with these strong contestants, he got easily hidden and forgotten. Similar case as it was with Yoon Min all the time. PSY was sad he was not able to go for him, but I cannot imagine Youn Dong Yeon being in P Nation… he fits to JYPEnt by every single inch. Kim Min Seoung: This has happened every time in LOUD, when Ateez’s song has been chosen. It was not bad, but somehow it was not good enough either. And unfortunately this is the same case as it was with previous ones… Besides those two performances they showed, he performed also 10 out of 10 in the previous round. Anyway, although I like him a lot, I have to agree with your words. And although he does not have the P Nation vibe necessarily, I wanted him there, because basically nearly everyone of my favorite ones are under P Nation. But there was no way PSY would have casted him… he had only three casting cards and he definitely wanted Choi Tae Hun, Keiju and Lee Gye Hun… But as the HQ of P Nation said: “Next to the other members in our team, he could have been good and useful with his acrobatic skills”… I cannot agree more. He is not meant to perform solo. He is good in a group or also in a duo actually, but it does not work, when he is just on his own, when he has to form the whole performance on his own… Jang Hyun Soo: Hyun Soo was going wild!! WOW! PD, I wish you would have done some crazy LOUD marathon! Your thoughts are on point, but I do not want to spoil anything, so I have to wait… But anyway, I was so surprised by his performance. He was literally doing his best. You could see in his face that he had in mind: “Alright, last time I was nominated for elimination… but this will not happen again!” But as I said with Kim Min Seoung, PSY wanted to cast Choi Tae Hun, Keiju and Lee Gye Hun, so there was nothing Jang Hyun Soo or any other contestant could have done to made him move forward. The only thing I am confused about PSY is that he said at the beginning of this round, he would consider their performances and skills based only on this round, so he would not give them any points for their achievements in previous rounds. That is why he said after saving Koki something like: “We were not able to see his balance in a group”, which we have seen definitely more than once during whole LOUD… But with Jang Hyun Soo he considered him as a former trainee of P Nation, which is a bit weird. I mean… I understand he said it, because he had to tell something and give him any reason, but I do not know… I feel bad and sorry for Hyun Soo. But from PSY’s facial expression, we could tell it was not an easy move to do for him… Choi Tae Hun: As you are saying, at first I thought: “Is it because I am not into EXO songs that much and so the whole performance was not my thing?”, but it was actually because he has shown us he can do much better. To be honest, I would say it would have been more understandable to cast Jang Hyun Soo instead of Choi Tae Hun and put Tae Hun on hold instead of Hyun Soo. But PSY has his understandable/good reason, why he prefers Tae Hun, which he will reveal in the future. Lee Dong Hyeon: This song is really good choice for him! He used to be hockey player, so that concept is totally made for him. But to be honest, (and no offence to his fans here) I am not into him at all. The previous performance of Shock was a shock even for someone as me, who is not into him, but still… I can imagine him being casted by some label, even by big label as JYPEnt., but not to debut him through survival show/immediately, but to train him for some time. Even if it was a short period of time. I prefer to debut here/in survival shows these ones, who have trained already on their own or somewhere else. I know he learns quickly, but on the other hand that is also the reason, why I would prefer to have him under some training system for a period of time, because I can imagine him being the perfect all-rounder, if he trained somewhere for for example a year. As it is now, it is more like: “He might be able to catch up with the other ones in a group and get better and better as the group would get better and better as well”, which is fine, but if he trained somewhere for some time, he could have been another contestant like Cheon Jun Hyeok or Lee Gye Hun, because he has that potential. As it is now, his vocals are the strongest part, but still it is not on the same level as it is with another ones in this show. Dancing and rapping is fine, but kind of not precise. Okamoto Keiju: Well, here I cannot agree with you. I compared him to Koki as well, before you said that. I think Koki is much better in facial expressions. We agree on that Koki has shown us he can do many styles, so I am glad you do not think he can do only krump, but it goes the same way with his facial expressions. He is not just “fighting dancer”, but he is able to dance any style and perform with it on 10 out of 10 level, because he uses the knowledge of the stage presence, which is crucial for krump and facial expressions are even more crucial for krumpers and he uses that in other dance styles and concepts as well. He is able to transform his knowledge of the one particular thing to use it in different parts/situations, where it is needed. With Keiju it is more like “Kpop only”. For sure he can do any concept, for sure he is a great dancer, but as he said in his introductory video, his whole dancing history and motivation to dance is Kpop, and mind you, that is a good thing here. You know… they are forming Kpop groups… but speaking of his talent and his capability of dancing skills, he is too much centred to Kpop and to Kpop only. Basically, I can both imagine doing any concept in any group. I can imagine them doing any choreography and having there any parts. But if they were taken out of Kpop, Keiju would stick back to Kpop, but Koki would be able to do anything he would have been asked for. I came back to this section of my comment after JYPSY fought over Keiju. Maybe the key thing with Keiju’s facial expressions is that he is still young, like in his teen ages. Obviously Koki is even younger, but since we as LOUD viewers know their personalities, we know that, when Koki does cuter concept, he is pretending and acting those cute facial expressions, because we know he is not actually like that at all, which in case of Keiju, it is more like: “Yeah, he has this part of his personality anyway”, because he is young. But Koki gives much older vibes from his inner self compared to his actual age and young/little body, because by his personality and way of speaking he gives me vibes of a man in his late 20s… But to say something about his performance. Although I was not a fan of him and he was not in my so called dream team, I could have imagine having him there and I would not mind… This performance was really something new from him and I understand, why both JYPSY wanted him. But in this round we can see both JYPSY are thinking about casting them more with the thought: “What will Kpop fans like?”, basically they pay attention to their look much more than as it was at the beginning of the whole show, where they casted someone, who was pure artist, although he did not have the idol vibe and look. Like yeah… it already had happened before that some contestants were eliminated, because they would have been better producers and solo artists rather than idols or idols, who are also able to produce their music, but in those cases it was not only because of their look and face, here it places severer role than before… After you mentioned something like: “now it is based only on his personality”, when PSY tried to lure him with his words… that is also a thing between Koki and Keiju, I mean not only in their personalities, but in dancing as well. Since Keiju is more in the way of “following someone’s foot steps” I cannot imagine him leading a group/team as Koki did in previous rounds. I do not mean it necessarily in a way like: “Who can come up with better choreography”, but as well from the point of view that Koki is able to be the stable rock as you said about Jang Hyun Soo (but Koki only dancing-wise, obviously…) Oh! When Cheon Jun Hyeok said to other members of Team P Nation: “No, hold on. Don’t get ahead of yourself”, that might have been because he wanted Koki in his team, because he knew Koki might have not been saved in case Keiju have chosen P Nation instead of JYPEnt. I assume this because Jun Hyeok was whispering to himself Koki’s name, when JYPSY were announcing, who they decided to save. Lee Gye Hun: Here I can tell only one thing… although I did not like the idea of putting former trainees to the show, I cannot tell anything more to Gye Hun than it was perfect performance and he deserves the popularity he has. You are right he would have been such an interesting part of P Nation first group, but to be honest, I cannot imagine him there. Not in the way he would not fit there, but from his perspective and story. It is similar as it was with Amaru, although in that case it was even more obvious that he would join JYPEnt., but here it was like: “Finally! Finally those years of hard work paid off! This is the reason, why I stayed with JYPEnt. and did not go anywhere else!”, which is the reason I appreciate him for, because an idol with 5 years of training is not that usual in these days as it used to be, so if he switched to another company during those years, he would have been already debuted. Maybe that is why PSY did not say anything else to lure him, because if Gye Hun considered P Nation for 30%, it means he had his own reason to do that and that reason had to be really strong, if we compare it to any reason, why he chose JYPEnt. Eliminations: I was hoping for Koki, Kang Hyun Woo and Kim Min Seoung. All of them I wanted in P Nation, although it was not possible to happen. So if I had to choose only one, it would have been Koki and at the end it was him or at least from these three. After all I understand their decisions, even why JYP did not choose Kyeong Mun or better to say, why he decided to save only one and not two, but we will get to that in the future.

While I really like Psy as a mentor & judge on this show, I'm not really a fan of any of the music he or his label have produced to date - at least not Psy's own music; I like Shock & probably stuff he's produced for others.  So with that said, it was always more likely that I'd want my bias to end up with JYP.  And since my bias was Keiju, who I knew would suit JYP better than P Nation, I was rooting hard for him to end up there.  I think his clean-cut, cutie pie offstage/monster on stage image & style is a better fit for JYP, plus the label also having plenty of experience with foreign idols & their specific needs.  AND he'd have a Japanese compatriot in Amaru who's already well-adjusted to both Korea & JYP. As I alluded to in a previous episode's comment, I still think PSY should've left Koki uncast here, signed him as a regular trainee, & debuted him in a few more years.  I disagree with his comment about the balance of the team when he picked Koki.  The kid throws the balance way off & I fear for him as a human being starting out so young in this industry.  I really hope he has the fortitude & resiliency to prove me wrong.

I don't want to spoil anything, PD, but you should make yourself a note to look up news about Koki when you're done with the show.
