"What happened to TO1 ?" Oh boy. To let you know PD, 4 of the members left TO1 in april/june and 3 new ones joined them, Renta, Daigo and Yeojeong (who is the one in the passenger seat). So quite a lot happened to TO1 (again) and in a way it is a "debut" song for those 3 members

One member (Chihoon) left, and three members (Woongi, Jerome, and Minsu) were essentially kicked out for the sake of "refining the team's direction." It's important to note that those three members were TOOWICE, which is a name they were given due to the fact they often did girl group covers.

There are some members change (4 original members were leaving the group and they added 3 new members) so I think that's why this comeback feels so different for me.

I was surprised by your comment "It feels like a debut" because after the departure of 4 members and the addition of 3 new ones it can actually be considered a re-debut

It is. I like the new members, and I'm glad they were able to debut. That said, the way Woongi, Minsu, and Jerome were removed from the group will is suspicious to me. Woongi I can kind of understand because he was on hiatus for a long time, and it was expected after after Chihoon left after saying Woongi's name in a Vlive, but Jerome and Minsu? There was literally no lead up to them leaving, and at the same time we were told they were out of the group they announced replacements were already being added. Everything has been weird with TO1 since their pre-debut, though, when Jaeyun was added in, so at this point I'm going to start thinking it's weird if a year goes by with no major changes to this group.

that's really sad though.. it must be hard for the remaining members too. they have no real stability :( shady stuff overall
