So I just did my first in person production with a K-Pop group for the first time since the pandemic.

I have to admit, I was nervous. Not just because this was a big group but also because I realized that I haven't shot a production in nearly 3 years!

But when the shoot wrapped... Wow.

I'm sitting in my hotel room right now and I feel a sense of fulfillment and happiness I haven't felt in... Well, since before the pandemic began.

I just wanted to thank everyone for allowing me this time to take a break so I could focus on pulling this production off. It doesn't usually take me a whole month to plan one production but like I said, I've been out of practice.

I can't wait to get back to work and filming for Patreon and YouTube again but wow I'm just... So so happy. If you all read my last post, I didn't even know I was miserable because I haven't been on set in a long time but being back in my element again it was fantastic.

Can't wait to show you what we did! There's A LOT of behind the scenes conversations I can tell you about this production and this shoot but I believe they want the video out in September so I'll divulge more then!

Thanks everyone for being such great supporters! More YOUTUBE EARLY ACCESS will be coming this weekend as well :) And then next week, I'm gonna film some listening parties so stay tuned!

Im so happy for you🥰!!! ONF released their new album and its so good! I need your LP so much.

no early access vids last weekend, no listening parties this week so far either, why am i not surprised? very happy that you'll finally be doing what you enjoy but you've never really been good at being transparent with your supporters, have you? it's always justifications after you don't deliver. you keep making plans and promises, then ghosting. i've been an on and off patron for years because i genuinely enjoyed your content, but this issue has been honestly grinding my gears from the beginning. i think i'm out of chances to give but for the sake of your remaining and incoming new patrons, i hope you reconsider the way you communicate on your platform. wishing you the best of luck on your new endeavors!

Hi, he said he would take a break this month and focus on his mental health. The video title is "August update," which was released on the 31 of July.

Sythini

It literally says at the bottom of this update post that there would be early access videos last weekend.. Couldn't agree more with cherry m. honestly, PD really needs to stop making promises he isn't able to keep, and if for some reason PD can't keep that promise the least he could do is let us know..

Merlin

I agree and I feel like I’ve gotten used to it, I’ve been a subscriber here for 2 years and it’s mostly been inconsistent like this, they keep saying things are gonna happen and change but they never do so I’ve honestly stopped expecting anything regardless of the promises. There’s a lot of great things about being a subscriber too but at this point it feels like false advertisement.

BinnieBun

Glad other people agree that its really getting annoying when PD makes promises and either doesn't keep them, or only lets us know why certain things didn't happen suuuuuuuuper late. Was really excited for this month because they promised early access and a lot of listening parties but.....only one day of early access and then nothing?? This month is almost over and no listening parties at all or more early access like they promised. Totally understand wanting to take a break, but at this point just don't promise things if you can't keep them. Just say you're going to take a full break. They've done this all the time this past year and its gotten to the point I won't give them any more chances. Which sucks cause they've been my favorite reaction channel for years now. Also, poor Youtube only fans don't get updated even less than us. They still have no idea about PD's break or the fact that they're going to lessen YT content. They went a month without reactions and never got told why despite many people being worried or irritated by lack of communication. I love PD, and I don't think they're a terrible person or anything but they really need to step it up when it comes to informing their audience that literally PAYS them to make reactions.

PD it's been months of unpredictability , I check on patron now and then for new content but nothing. No videos on your youtube or here. I'm happy supporting you but please remember that we are paying for a service for example I've been waiting for you to reach to the new jeans girls and their mvs but still nothing.

SugandSunshine

I agree, I of all people understand when it comes to things such as physical health as well as mental health, but people are paying to be here, I for one last subcribed in April and have been saving so I could subscribe again at the beginning of August (which I did) and have lot's of Seventeen content to watch, you can imagine the disappointment when I realised he'd only uploaded 3 new pieces of content since April and was taking a break for a month. If he'd made his update video public then I wouldn't have subscribed. I really do wish him well on his next stage of content creation but I can say for sure I'm not investing any more money here again. The lack of transparency is upsetting.

BinnieBun

I wish the people who are telling us to calm down would stop. I think our being upset with not getting timely updates or not getting the promises we paid for is very reasonable. I'm not trying to be mean or impatient with PD, because I don't think PD is a terrible person or anything, in fact I really like them. I just wish they'd improve with the way they update their audience and/or make promises to them. I understand health comes first and things happen in life, but its the fact this is so consistent for this whole year and a half that is getting irritating. Alllll I want is them to consistently give us a little update real quick when something comes up. No excuses, they can literally just themselves write on patron or twitter or Youtube that they're okay and just something came up, or have Blaire do it for them. You're telling me between Blaire, PD, and their supposed helpers that not one of them can come on here and update us?? I'm curious to see if PD is going to acknowledge any of the people who are upset with their lack of transparency. And also if they're going to give an update about September before their patrons have to pay again. If they don't....then that says A LOT to me.

Marta

Can at least anyone in PD's team actually post a statement before the month ends so I'm not left without any explanation whatsoever? I've respectufully been waiting, I even watched PD's youtube live the other day and he said content would come up so why don't we even have an explanation post? That would be enough for me. As a Stray Kids fan I have to say I enjoy your reactions and content so much that even though I'm a little sad when you have months where you don't watch any Skz content, I actually don't care and pay anyways because I just enjoy your content this much. I'm sorry but I have to cancel the subscription and it's purely because I feel like I just lost 9$ because there was no content whatsoever as promised a few weeks ago. I just hope that for the upcoming months PD and their team can actually take into account all these comments and feedback.

Lihzgr

Can we just have that kind of information BEFORE the month ends, I paid this month for literally NOTHING, it happens for so long now, im going to unsubscribe.

Cristine

To everyone wondering where PD has been, I saw that they got sick after they got back from LA. I'm sure or at least hope they will update everyone on Patreon. I actually hesitated on sharing this, since it's not my info to share. But since a lot of people were questioning the status of the promised content (rightfully so), I thought it might be helpful to those who might not see the update if it's posted in September. To clarify, I just saw someone from pd's team post that they all got sick after. It was a really short message. So might not even be 100% accurate (reason why I hesitated in sharing). We don't know what they might be going through right now, and they may have a valid reason for not being able to update us here yet (or not 🤷🏽‍♀️). Either way, if or when they post an update on the issue, let's try to voice our opinions respectfully. PS: sorry for keeping the info a bit vague, but I think it's best hearing it from PD self since they know what actually happened. 💖

BinnieBun

It just kind of sucks we have to hear that info from a fellow patron and not PD or their team themselves. If that is truly the case someone still should have come on here and gave us a update. Even if they didn't give us a full reason, but just a heads up that something came up and content wouldn't be put out. Thank you for sharing this info though. I hope PD is okay and this can all be talked out respectfully.

I definitely understand both sides, but I'll just offer another angle to look at it. Yes, we all pay for the content, and yes there have been many times in which there has been issues with communication or promises not being fulfilled. But at the end of the day we have to realize that this is just one aspect of PD's life. Thinking that we are what PD's life revolves around is a little much. But again, I totally get it. I get wanting to know what's up. I get wanting to know when the schedule will be out and why it hasn't been out. I get feeling frustrated that we haven't been told what's going on. But I also think we should be making sure to think along other lines as well: hoping that everything is okay, hoping that PD, Blaire, and the team are doing well, etc. We don't know what is going on, and although that is part of the problem, I think jumping to conclusions and placing blame might be a little dangerous. I think we should try to view this objectively. I am sure that everyone here has had many moments in their lives in which they, for whatever reason, had to have a promise go unfulfilled or had issues with consistency; and while these situations may not be the exact same as the one going on now we should at least try to empathize. I totally understand that there are differences (we are paying for content, etc.), but viewing this from another lens might be helpful. At the end of the day, I think if you want (and are able) to support do it! And if you don't, I believe you are justified in your reasons. What is wrong however, is that in a lot of comments people are veering dangerously close to your "typical angry internet citizen" territory, and I know that is not what any of us want. We are all here for the same reason. Just my opinion though. But regardless of where you stand on the matter (and regardless of if you are seething with rage reading this) I hope ya'll have a great day.

Despite the announcement of a break regarding content here that was stated in the august update (which was kind of a bummer considering the past year of missing consistency, but I understood that health was and probably is an absolute priority right now) I was really looking forward to all the early access videos and bunch of listening parties we would get instead. Now, what we've got is 1 day of early access (which I was at that time SUPER hyped about, so many videos in one day) and no listening parties, no update yet on what is happening right now AGAIN. Even in the latest update which was almost 2 weeks ago at the time I'm writing this, we were made to believe that content is indeed coming. I quote: " *More YOUTUBE EARLY ACCESS will be coming this weekend as well :) And then next week, I'm gonna film some listening parties so stay tuned!* " I think some people here don't understand that 99% of the comments here raise valid concerns regarding the lack of transparancy. No matter what the circumstances are right now, a brief update from anyone on the team would not be too much to ask for. It wouldn't take long to say, that something came up and they can't film/produce the content right now. It can be brief and informative. Youtube only subscribers don't even know they won't get reactions any or many reactions anymore. Instead we get false hope once again, waiting for something to happen in this vacuum of silence. I must emphasize this once again: We know that they took an official unoffical break from the usual content here. This is not the issue at all, we knew what we were getting into during august. However they should not make promises that are not likely to be held. And if they make them, they should give us a brief heads up as to why they are not able to hold them. That's it, nothing more. After all, people stayed for what they thought we would get. I for my case am getting slowly over my limit to understand every single excuse for this kind of stuff. There will be another post about what happend and what will happen in september, people will say that it's not a problem at all, that they understand and support regardless, that they look forward to whatever comes in the future and the cycle will continue over and over. I love the content in here, I love the reactions, the discussions, the insight, everything, which is why I'm a patreon now for nearly 4 years. I've been here during every break. I've seen this many, countless times before. Which is why I'm not surprised. From time to time though, I think it's necessary that people raise their opinions and concerns if something is going a way it should not, instead of blindly defending said behavior. It's not bashing, it's not demanding more, it's not being disrespectful. It's valid criticism and also a much needed feedback to prevent this stuff from happening again and making this place a better experience for everyone.

i cancelled my subscription for now after being a patron for almost 2 years, and i am very tentatively thinking about whether or not i want to resubscribe. i'm usually the type who doesn't want to say if i unsubscribe or not because i just don't think it's necessary but i think in this case it is, because i know i'm not alone with feeling frustrated with the lack of updates and transparency and many others may follow suit. i remember last month PD said they were mortified at the last batch of things that never came out and lack of updates and then said their team would handle it if this happened again and then... here we are again. i completely understand things come up but all we ask is that we get even just a quick update if something is urgent. i just find it hard to believe that nobody, not PD or Blaire or someone on the team had 2 minutes to make a couple sentence long post saying if something happened, even if they don't wanna share specifics ;__; idk... i hope that when i check back sometime next month i'm proven wrong but it's upsetting because PD is the only patreon i've ever stayed with this long because i value and enjoy the content, i watch everything even for groups i didn't stan because i liked getting into them deeper *with* PD. it's just disappointing and upsetting, i don't want to seem like i'm trying to attack PD or anyone else on the team but i hope my and everyone else's sentiments get through to them. i know i sound like a broken record saying stuff everyone else has said but i just want to get it off my chest. i really do hope you're okay PD, i saw something about you being sick so i hope it's nothing too serious. be safe everyone.

cherry m.

of course, i don't think anyone would condemn pd for making human errors or for having health issues, but being understanding and forgiving only goes so far when 1) we pay set amounts of money for content (very big amounts might i add, pd's highest tier is the most money i've ever paid here on patreon), and 2) this *keeps* happening. it's been happening especially often this entire past year. patience tends to run out. "typical angry internet citizen", "seething with rage", weird thing to call people who are concerned they're not getting their money's worth and are wanting some better communication.

Cristian Gaete

so, no announcement today? I’m gonna cancel my subscription, i just lost a paid month lmao

Sandra l.

I guess we will see what happens in September... for now I canceled my subscription before it gets renewed but I'll keep an eye on their patreon page so I don't miss when they come back :)

Amberrr

Definitely canceling the subscription, I am kinda glad that a lot more people are doing so too, we are just losing money otherwise. I am ready to support PD again when he stops letting us down ALL THE TIME

ToATea

Hey, congrats PD! I hope the opportunity leads to even greater things for you! <3

Kpop_Platypus

I'm glad PD's found something that fulfills them creatively and makes them enjoy their work again. That's important. I'm also glad I'm not the only one that's more than a little frustrated. I think I have a lot of patience, but "a lot" =/= "infinite," which is what I think you'd need to be a permanent subscriber. I've come to accept that if PD promises something, there's AT LEAST a 60% chance it won't happen at all, or at least not on time. Making a schedule is useless if you can't stick to it, so I wish they'd either put a huge asterisk at the top saying "SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME & WITHOUT NOTICE," or else only put out a weekly schedule AFTER filming the content so they know what they can guarantee will be posted. I've stuck it out for a couple years now because I like PD & their content and want to support. Shit happens, I get that. Your health should always be your priority; I get that, too. But when it comes to PD, shit seems to happen A LOT, accompanied by little explanation & unfulfilled promises to make up for it. At this point I'm tired of the "will-they-won't-they" guessing game (spoiler alert: they likely won't), and am REALLY hoping things start going smoothly........any day now, seeing as it's already Sept 2nd.
