I had no idea who Nelly was but I knew 'Dilemma'. I live in Germany and that song is a classic here. I'm 20 and I feel like everyone around my age and a bit older knows the song here but couldn't name you the artist. But people here could name songs from Eminem, Ice Cube, 50 cent and so on. But maybe that's just me.

Well… during the era of dancing clubs you talked about, at those times my country (Czech Republic) was a communistic country… so being free and funky in this way wasn’t really a thing. Or… I don’t say people didn’t use to have fun, but it wasn’t definitely the same as in USA…

I like going to the club! Only do it like once a month and only dance clubs that play Kpop though. The MIK Festival in London was interesting. An all ages no alcohol event but the crowd was amazing and the whole event was just so much better than Kpop Flex a few months earlier. I try to listen to more different kinds of music these days and sometimes I get surprised at the stuff I find. Like Bloodywood who are now my favourite non Korean band. They're from India and they do an amazing mix Bollywood and Metal music. Or Otyken who fuse modern pop, hip hop and EDM beats with their classic indigenous Siberian music. And obviously those kinds of groups aren't in the pop genre and will not be as famous as someone like Dua Lipa fir instance. But there is still so much creativity out there and I hope that those lesser known groups also inspire others. Oh yeah, I know Nelly's Dilemma. It was all over the German radio when I was a kid. Also, HOLY SHIT, train wifi is so annoyingly slow that I can't even listen to a fucking podcast without constant interruptions.
