yess a great album from purple kiss which has got me into exploring their bsides. i especially am obsessed with cursor and was laughing so hard at your shock at that drop haha, it’s just such a good song and i was stuck on it for like a month. there’s also a whole bunch of performances/videos for pretty psycho you could check out if you wanted since they did basically a promotional cycle for it😅

Pretty Psycho is my favorite on the album and 2nd favorite song overall. Honestly though Purple Kiss is a no skip group for me. This album and their newest are soooooo good. Personally I don’t think they do a good job promoting Purple Kiss at least with global audiences which I think they should focus on. I don’t ever see the quirky spooky groups ever being super popular in Korea? Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like their label could promote them better. Lately it feels like their newest tactic is to have Swan go on a many singing competition shows as possible which should hopefully get new fans in. They are promoting in Japan finally which I’m kind of surprised it took them this long. I’m hoping they come out with a Japanese single soon. I feel like it’s such a waste to not go a little harder in the Japanese market especially with Yuki. Anyways- looking forward to Geekyland!

Purplekiss have this weird habit of having bsides that could easily be title tracks. Their newest album is full of them in mi opinion so I'm excited for the LP for that one. Pretty Psycho really was the standout from this album for me. I didn't really like memeM as a title track especially given Purplekiss's sound and concept. So I kinda make Pretty Psycho the title track in my brain lol. They did perform Pretty Psycho on music shows so I would recommend checking out the live stages or the performance video for it!

Purple Kiss really puts out exceptional albums. Their vocals really carry a lot of the songs too. Very happy with another group that contributes to their album creation

9:54 Actually not only Chaein but other members have been credited on PURPLE KISS music as early as their debut EP — all members have credits on Into Violet (their debut), some of the most notable being Swan on Ponzona which she composed and wrote as a trainee for a monthly evaluation, and Yuki also on lyrics :) On their previous album HIDE & SEEK, Chaein basically did So WhY entirely by herself, a genius actually And of course I have to mention Yuki which writes all of her raps, let's not forget that by their SECOND album after debut she was already the second most credited 4th gen idol on KOMCA, currently only standing behind THE Jeon Soyeon of (G)I-DLE Other members such as Goeun occasionally get writing credits as well, but it's mostly Chaein, Yuki and sometimes Swan If you ever get a chance to look up their credits, you'll be nothing less than amazed P.S. The members also work on their own choreography, such as Cast pearls before swine which they were already practicing pre-debut!

And when PD finds out most people actually agree that Pretty Psycho should've been title track and it actually got more attention both internationally and domestically in Korea... it even got one of those special comment compilation videos like the one that blew up Brave Girls

I have nothing but high praise for this entire album. I had it on replay for MONTHS, literally would not listen to anything else but this EP, I would just click on the first track and vibe to it all the way through to the very end, which I rarely do with kpop albums. It might just end up being my most played album of the year on Spotify, I was down so bad that at one point all the tracks were in my top 10 of the month >except< for the title track, which is my most least played in the entire album (whoops)

Chaein also wrote and solo-composed "So Why" from Hide and Seek that you loved, and on their debut album, she composed a few songs, including Ponzona, which was composed with Goeun and Kang Ji Won.

Shoutout to us HMHMLM enthusiasts for being stronger than the marines for it being the ONLY song on the entire EP to not get any kind of performance video or live performance during promotions 🫂

I still don't care for memeM, but the rest of the album is great. In my opinion, they should have made Pretty Psycho the title track. To answer your question, their sales have been kind of flat; I think they are not getting marketed properly. They have great music and they are a fun group, but they are not getting much attention in Korea or internationally.

Cursor is my fav on this album, and possibly my fav purple kiss song along with twinkle. Just the way the song progresses and then hits you really got me.

yesss can't wait for the reaction for their latest album. also, in the same vein ( is that how you use that?) i highly highly recomment pixy's reborn album it made me stan them and it's literally no skip album ( for me ;) )

I didn't even notice you didn't release a listen party for MemeM album but i'm glad you did now! You have the same tope 3, I would prefer Pretty psycho to be the title, it's Zombie but in darker creepier version perfect for halloween and when i saw Pretty psycho's dance performance, i wonder why this isn't the title?

For me it's 1) Pretty psycho my favorite then 2) i can't decide so i put Cursor and Hate me hurt me love me, 3) Oh my gosh (it has mamamoo's vibe, i can see Solar sing it too! 4) Joh i love ballad, 5) MemeM i like it more than the 1rst time but it's not dark creepy but more girl crush MemeM and i was disappointed it is in my least favorite song, least favorite title song of this album. Pretty psycho is more Purple Kiss's vibe and Nerdy i won't spoil to you but i think of Pretty psycho when i see it! So pretty psycho could be a totally superior title track. MememeM reminds me of Savage of Aespa, same industrial sound

Silent Night

One thing is people don't give enough credit to RBW for letting their artists compose, write and produce. That how much they have faith in their artists and that what separates RBW from other companies because they are a artist company, not just for profit.
