OMFG I was sooo worried you wouldn't react to this. You literally made my day right now

Kpop_Platypus

YAAAAASSSS!!!! Nine.i are one of my two favorite rookies of the year (along w/ TAN) and I'm so glad they're on your radar. 😊

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE THIS MV CAME OUT!! i'm so glad you noticed vahn and joohyoung's production credits as well (kprofiles says joohyoung worked on the debut album but he also worked on this one as well! he's worked on half their songs in terms of lyrics and production), and you pointed out nearly every member in the song/mv because they're ALL so incredibly talented, and their team chemistry is off the charts!! i ESPECIALLY recommend their debut album but the new one is incredible too :) (if you have time, may i suggest bonus content for the beauty inside + wasted youth performance mvs?) i believe ENTIRELY that NINE.I is built different -- they're the first group that i actually stanned upon hearing their DEBUT since i got into kpop in 2016! parallel universe is definitely one of my favorite debuts EVER, and young boy had me ULTING THEM on top of that. thank you so much for this reaction, and for recognizing their talent and potential :D edit: i also love how you pointed out taehun and winnie's vocals, bc taehun's a dancer in charge of their performance (with seowon, who got the solo dance in parallel universe and has the prechorus / car window scenes here!) and winnie's a rapper! they shine SO WELL VOCALLY on this song and it's so beautiful thank you for pointing that out :)

Ahhhh omg I thought you wouldnt react to this, I'm so glad. It's so GOOOOD. Also justb had a cb a few weeks ago with me=(naneun), its one of my fave bg releases this year, its very different from their first 3 songs but think you also didn't react to their cb before that called "reload" which was also VERY good, considering I didnt really like tiktok.

Their two albums are amazing, it would be great if you could check them out at some point.

This reaction is everything I hoped (and knew) it would be haha The way this song has had a chokehold on me is crazy. I didn't even realize it's been a month since it's been out. I highly recommend checking out both their EPs (even if it's in your own time PD). Joohyung also worked on composing this song btw and Loner which is a unit song, plus lyrics on all of them. The boys in general are so talented and Passionate about their work! Members like Taehun and Seowon contribute to the choreography. It was super interesting to hear them all break down their parts in the Parallel Universe Performance MV and see how much they think about their overall dancing/facial expressions/adding point moves in order to better express the lyrics and song. Ugh I could gush about them all day haha Young Boy was my first introduction to the group and I've been catching up and following along with everything since :)

I've watched vahn at under 19 and he was one of my favorite contestants there, so happy he has finally debuted 😭

I was really hoping you would check this out, and I'm so glad you did because this song and the entire album is a masterpiece. Yep these boys are all insanely talented, not only do they all have beautiful voices, strong dancing and stage presence, they are also variety kings in my opinion. I've never seen another group be so effortlessly funny right from debut. If you ever feel like checking out some bonus content, I recommend looking up their covers (my favorites are Tomboy, the Kpop Mash Up and Take You Down). They also have their own short variety series called WHY NOT NINE.i which you can really see their group chemistry in. Finally they have also released a few performance videos for b-sides on their first album, which I also highly recommend.

PD on every member that shows up in the vid: "I LOVE HIS VOICE!" Yeah same man, they sound SO GOOD!

Serena

YES YES YES !!! this is one of my fav songs of the year

Serena

you gotta check out a livestage !!! they sing live at most music shows. here's one from inkigayo: https://youtu.be/MJtMyespAyU young boy also has a performance video: https://youtu.be/MUlWmMxEvp4 the timing of this is 🫠 i honestly dont know if all members will be present during the next comeback since it was just announced that 3 members (winnie, jiho & seowon) are gonna be on group activity hiatus because of individual schedules. and the cause for that is that (tho its not confirmed yet) we all know they're probably participating in boys planet 999. the timing of the show also starting filming at the same time just makes too much sense jdjd and they barely have individual schedules sooo

Omg what? I had no idea they were going on a hiatus. Boy Planet 999 being the reason makes so much sense tho.. Hmm not sure if I should be excited about this or not..

I've been waiting for this one!! I highly recommend checking out one of their performances from this comeback for a bonus reaction (their live vocals make the song sound even better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJtMyespAyU) They took much longer than most of the new groups this year to comeback but it was well worth it for how much growth we can see between Parallel Universe and Young Boy. The members all got amazing vocal lines that showcased their individual tones so well, which I think is a result of the members having so much involvement in the whole process of the song! Alongside Vahn, Joohyoung also is prominently credited for lyrics and this time Jiho and Winnie also participated in writing their own raps for the bside 'Loner'. And the person that did the high note at the end was Vari actually! I really hope you check out the bsides to both mini albums at some point, either on your own or as a reaction here because they are as amazing and some, I dare say, are even better than the title tracks! Plus, 3 of the bsides for the Young Boy mini album are unit songs (Vahn and Joohyoung are featured in every song so it's more like unit + them) and lets you hear each member more!

Man I love me groups that produce their own music, there is a reason stray kids are my ult group, and so with this AMAZING FREAKING SONG and their incredible vocals and dancing I might have to get into Nine.i now🙈 (man I really don't another group to get into but oh well)

Taj carter

Love NINE.i they have so much potential‼️ Gotta check out KINGDOM and TAN’s comebacks next‼️

JK

I love nine.i so much. They have so much potential and it reminds me of how seventeen grew. They completely have a different vibe then the recent groups that have come out. Definitely check out their whole album for debut and this one. Also live stages as well. Can't wait to see what is next for them!💜💜
