Bohunka Kocová

I can’t believe I’m seeing ATEEZ on Valentine’s Day 😭

Giu Bressani

I've been waiting for this one!

Nihil Lucis

finally!! The ball is where strictland keep the emotion of everyone, and San broke it

Theia

When HALAZIA came out I thought, damn what a way to end 2022. Now it will probably take forever until we get something as good as this... Then last Sunday SF9 had their comeback and it was just as amazing as Halazia. And then this Monday Monsta X also dropped a banger. The year is 2 weeks old and we already got 3 SOTY candidates.

Gabi 高书逸

I'm torn between this one and guerilla as my favorite ateez title track 😩👊

E G

halazia, guerrilla, and answer are THEEE big three

Daniela Arellano

YEEEEES!!!! When the members where “spoiling” the cb they were saying: “This is more my style… this fits me better, we had to study own our lore…, IT’S BETTER THAT GUERILLA” and I was getting skeptic and nervous… but NOP THEY WERE NOT LIYING. I love that ATEEZ is doing something different in so many ways, the lore, the lyrics, the themes THIS IS AMAZING and as PDnim says: “How can they even top them selfs” i don’t know but its giving us amazing music. Thank you for reacting 🫶🏽

SwinerBock

Honestly, after I heard Cyberpunk, I thought to myself "they have to come out with an MV for this". As time passed, I kept wondering "where is the MV for this? They *know* its a banger of a song". They knew what they were doing tho. That teaser at the end of Guerilla teased the musical theme for Halazia. This MV was the perfect marriage of song, lyrics, dance and cinematography. This group are hella good storytellers.

Milli Mey

Usually I wouldn't recommend listening to remix albums but this one from Ateez is genuinely good. It's worth it, please consider making a listening party

Marcel Wannieck

Ateez really went and released my new all time favourite song right at the end of the year. And seeing you be blown away just like I was is the reason why I love your MV reactions so much! As for the album, it's really good but there aren't any new songs on it so I don't really need a listening party for it. But I still recommend checking it out in your own time! (maybe use the time to check out more MVs you've missed instead? 😅)

Daniela Arellano

Allllsooo if you love the expressions here in the mv PDnim will looooooove fancams for the music shows

Ixorian

Hey PD, this song was one of the best I've ever heard and the live stage just made it even better. If you have a chance you should check out the live stage of this song.

Catrin

If you end up checking out any live stages for this comeback, they also did a live stage of cyberpunk on music bank!

Samantha

Definitely watch the trailers for this mv to understand the lore/story for this particular mv. It's a Spin Off story but I have no doubt that it's going to become a major chapter in Ateez's storyline!

Samantha

Plus, there's 3 versions of Ateez in the storyline/lore - the og 8 aka the pirates, halateez, and now this version of Ateez which is called the new 8

Sarah

PD ascending while listening to this, just like the rest of us. SOTY.

Madison

Current theory is that since the album is “the witness” the movie is mostly from the POV of an outsider rather than ateez or the black pirates, which is why we have the scarecrow float/funeral thing and religious feeling, the witness(s) are almost worshiping what the black pirates have done for them, aka giving them emotion. And ateez are coming to terms with that and figuring their roles in the rebellion since they’re suppose to be taking over in the black pirates absence (mingi’s who are you is a good example of this) especially because they don’t want to be the black pirates exactly, in wooyoung, San and Jongho’s dance scene jongho is in black representing the black pirates and woosan in white and wooyoung breaks the connection between jongho and San freeing all of them

Tesa

infinity/10 sounds about right. i watched this when it came out at midnight and i wasn't able to fall asleep after that lol i was so in shock and awe at how amazing literally everything was - music, lyrics, vocals, rap, outfits, locations, dance, facial expressions, framing of the shots, the slow-mo, everything! i really love the colour palette of this MV as well. the light blue is so pretty and how it contrasts the golden yellow and grey. a part in the MV that always gives me goosebumps is the moment the Hala Ateez scarecrow is set on fire, falls, and embers start to rise along with the beat drop. that combination of visuals and sound just does something to me haha

M.C.

What I've seen is that this version of Ateez are taking over from their Hala Hala versions who have died/disappeared? Their Hala Hala versions were leading the revolution prior, but now this version of Ateez have to take. I think that's why we see Seonghwa making the same pose Infront of the Hala Hala scarecrow. Having it burn later can be like a phoenix return from the ashes thing since they're essentially the same people from different dimensions from what I can tell.

Rebecca Le Minh

Not only is this one of best songs ever, combined with the MV it makes you want to start a revolution, it carries such a powerful message... it feels like it could be the Hunger Games revolution anthem with the little bird's voice taking over the world - anyway the revolution symbolism is stronger than ever and I love it sm

Sarah

Even more insane…is how synchronized they are despite the fast pace of the choreo. You should check out the MBC gayo dance practice! I know you were looking for dance practices earlier!!

Sarah

Also…Inkigayo stage (https://youtu.be/tM56HeHiz2k). Please. The hand held camera work was *chef’s kiss* Even the Inkigayo director called Ateez “The Light of Kpop” after that performance!!

Chyann Beacham

I was so excited to see you reacted to halazia

MBATNY50

I was waiting for your reaction and it was definitely worth the wait. Your reaction was straight on point, had me hyped up along with you and cracked me up. Thanks you! I didn’t think anything could top Guerrilla for me but this did and then some. The story telling through the lyrics, acting, choreography and vocals was epic. The smaller details were just incredible, like way the embers burned and were carried away in the wind, the pauses during the choreography, the ball dropping right as the beat peaks and the way they portrayed San sacrificing himself at the end was absolutely beautifully done. It was a huge balance of extremes lows and highs. It made you feel their absolute desperation but yet hopeful somehow. . This was so good…SOTY!!

Kiersten

They actually performed this on MBC Gayo! I don’t know how to explain this but the live performances top the mv and you can’t help but be emotional when you watch it. Halazia truly is the “bias wrecker” of Ateez title tracks

Lihzgr

You look so good ! love your fit

Céline Verhaeghe

i highly recommend all the comeback stages for this song. the stage dressing is just amazing. So are the outfits so far. I love the music bank one from today tho (https://youtu.be/YbrDbU-y2i0). I'm in love with the styling of mingi in there. Also they aren't covering yeosang's birth mark up on his face for this comeback which is so fantastic. Also I'm not sure if you noticed, but yunho gave us a spoiler during SBS gaeyo Daejeon during rush hour ;).

Denise

yessss, I will attend both shows in Berlin :) I saw them in May last year and Im so excited to see them again 🥹🥹🥹

Aurayaya

How dare they to release this banger of a song on a remix album. They can't be serious 🙂 What is the next album gonna sound like man I'm scared

Sakura

When Seonghwa came out at 3:53 PDnim saw God. We all did. HALAZIA is a religious experience.

sunnyside

that first shot of seonghwa in the second chorus is one of the most legitimately beautiful shots i've seen in any mv ever. digipedi always manages to outdo themselves.

Lisa

Wooyoung actually had a documentary episode come out that's all about him and idol life, if you ever find the time ^^ it's called 'fill in the blanks' and there are three more episodes on other idols as well

Clover

Yes!!! I'm so glad you got around to watching this one. I knew you'd like it. Definitely check out a live stage because the choreography is insane! And they also did a live stage for Cyberpunk which was also absolutely incredible!

FroggyMuds

Hey pd im not sure if you're aware but I think you missed p1harmony's latest comeback, backdown, which came out around a month ago. It also has a mini album with it, I'd love to see you check it out if you get the chance

HumbleAndKindness

I'm sure this was mentioned or suggested already but the prologue vid (https://youtu.be/hiNMuSOFDZY) has a bit more context for the MV :) From my interpretation, I think that it was a memorial for the black pirates, and when they burned the hat/scarecrow, ateez were saying that they were taking on the role of the new "black pirates" (since the OGs kinda got bonked by the government rip 😔) But anyway, I believe digipedi worked with atz again, so props to them and everyone who worked on this amazing MV🥰

Mollie

The choreo for this is so incredible and the MV somehow doesn't even do it justice. You definitely have to watch the MBC Gayo stage and the MBC Gayo stage dance practice (they have two dance practices, one regular one and for the MBC gayo stage). All of their other stages have also been immaculate but their Inkigayo stage and the one take version of the inkigayo stage are something else. Camera work is crazy.

Ugne Jablonskyte

Omgg I'm so happy with your reaction. Ateez with this masterpiece definitely deserve a 30 minute long reaction lol, I watched it from the beginning to the end and it went by so fast. I still don't know if this is my favorite ateez song but it's definitely my favorite ateez music video. I'm usually the type who listens to the songs only on spotify but for Halazia I love to listen to the song more while watching this mv. It's just THAT good, I feel even more powerful and emotional listening to it. And I also love that instrumental part before they go to the first chorus and sadly they didn't include this part on spotify.

babymetalic

i've always wanted to see san play some type of villain role in a drama. i think he would crush it. it would be like putting his stage persona onto a fictional character

eSTRAYxTEEZo

I loved this reaction:)) I saw you were a little confused on the lore here is what I picked up from some other Atiny. The Ateez that preformed in this video are the pirate Ateez from Treasure and Pirate King. The pirate Ateez heard the call for help from Halateez(the version of Ateez dressed in black from Hala Hala). I'm assuming the call happend in Answer or Inception. Anyway the 'cromer' or sand glass that had been present from the beginning of Ateez's MV's helped them travel to the post-apocalyptic universe to help save or avenge Halateez. Now moving on to this MV I don't know much, but emotions, music, and hope are gone. I'm assuming the ball that San was pulling on symbolized gravity and emotions. I also think Yeosang could hear Halateez because in the teaser it said everyone was hoping for 'them' to come back. 'Them' must be Halateez and the blue bird Yeosang sang about hearing represents hope and peace in Korean culture I think. Also someone said that the blue bird could be a referencing a Korean version of Robin hood. Idk if that is true, if it is then pirate ateez must be stealing the emotions and hope and music, and giving them back to the people. Oh, one last thing the people dressed in white at the end of the MV I think either killed or kidnapped Halateez, the scarecrow you see most likley represented Halateez and when they burned the hat it was symbolizing a new age of heroes. AKA Pirate Ateez. I have no idea if any of that made sense, that is just what I picked up from various people. Sorry this comment was so long🤣🤣

babymetalic

also, you should of course react to the live stages for halazia but i also recommend watching them perform cyberpunk on music bank !!

Kay Popped

They released the behind-the-scenes video today, so it might give some camera insight? Maybe worth checking out for that purpose. I feel like the scale was helped a lot by the number of people, and we don't normally see so many bodies visible in music videos. Maybe it was easier to work/find people when they were shooting in Thailand, but I feel like it added gravitas to have all those people around (Stray Kids' Back Door comes to mind for all the people standing around, but it hits differently there). And be sure to check out the Prologue for this one, because it really does tell a lot about the lore.

Judy Lan

SF9 just had a comeback. It's called Puzzle
