I apologize if one of my comments is the one you are referring to I got a little frustrated, as did others. I may get a bit frustrated in my comments, but it's just because I want to see things get better. All we have asked is that you listen and/or do a little more research. I've been following this channel for about 5 years now and I've been a patron for few years and I do genuinely care about it and your well-being. This isn't just a Kiss of Life thing it's been an issue with other posts as well... I think it's just been amplified because of it. As fans we can get very passionate, for better or worse, but I think we all need to be better in these situations... so again sorry for the negativity in the comments but I feel like we need to be able to hold each other accountable, that's why 2-way communication is important... like community tab or discord, etc.

I’ve been thinking that it’s really necessary to get mods for the Patreon, like for thousands of comments a day it just has to be mods for both smooth sailing of creation and keeping the peace and keeping the comments a safe place where people feel welcome to interact, love the idea!! Also respect to the drip 🫡

Meruka Hinaru

Both your drips are top notch, great way to start the week

Liv

Respect to Hyuk PD and Blaire for their brutal honesty bc it takes a lot of vulnerability to open up like that, I’ve been a Groupy since day one so I’m happy to see wherever your journey goes as it ebbs and flows as needs change—always appreciate the content creation done here and it always comes in clutch when I need it !! 💕

Jasmine sumner

ive dmed. thank you for the update, explanations and this opportunity

connie cheng

just finished this episode and can i just say that i can totally see PD directing and filming his own variety show. like if i can be invested and listen to PD and Blair when they talk about their thoughts and lives, i can't even imagine how entertaining it would be if they created a variety show and all their ideas came to fruition

jessie

Maaaate the drip is insane!! Your energy is coming through so strong it’s like I can feel how that outfit is making you feel myself. Rooting for you to be in love with your videos again 💪 man isn’t kpop just so exciting, that’s why I love this patreon because the excitement just snowballs when you experience it alongside others

jessie

I love the new street team idea too, whenever I see comments with cool facts about a group/idol or suggestions about cool content I always hope so bad you see it even if it’s not about someone I stan

Now that the comments have died down hours later, I wanted to leave another comment on the topic of mental health. In May, I lost my cousin, who was 12 days older than me and basically my brother, due to his mental health battles. He is an Army veteran dealing with PTSD and struggles of adjusting to civilian life again, but even before enlistment he was dealing with things. I was always his shoulder to lean on in his times of need and have saved him once before. It was time he had enough and succumbed to his battles without any goodbye. It haunts me to this day that I couldn't be there for him one last time, even if I couldn't have changed the outcome. It truly is one of the shittiest and most haunting things to live with. My family is in complete shambles emotionally and physically after his passing because he was one of the brightest people in our family. He never shared a glimpse of his struggles outside of when he would talk to me about it. I guess my point of sharing this is to keep on fighting your fights PD, Blaire, or anyone that reads this comment. I have the same belief as PD of God put me here for a reason, and I believe that for every human being. No matter how hard or dark times get, live your life to the fullest and fulfill your reason. When it seems like no one may be there for you, just know SOMEONE will always be willing to help. Everything may seem helpless in the moment, but I promise your life means so much more than you can imagine.

It is really sad that you can't come to Korea soon. You really felt different when you were here. It felt like you blossomed again. I really hope you come back here soon!!!! PD dressed like this more often, dressing and expressing yourself more in different ways is always helpful. Like many women and men may be depressed or feeling down and go to the hair salon or nail shop and have their hair and nails done and feel much better (well in Korea is a thing because hair salons and nail shops are really cheap here). I don't know but maybe just be crazy and move to Korea without thinking in a lot of things or maybe you can come and go for period of times so you get a happier life. As a korean I know how much you can sacrifice for your family and friends and sometimes it can be difficult to put yourself first but please try to do it. In Korea we call it K-장녀, K-장남 because first childs can feel an excessive responsability towards family. Take care of yourself.

Ooh, starting off with The Midnight! I like that! Even with all the Kpop concerts I've seen (and (G)I-DLE completely ending me yesterday), The Midnight was my favourite concert I've ever attended! And it's all because of you! Without you I wouldn't even know about this band. They made me feel alive in a way I've never felt before. So thank you again for that. It's interesting to hear about your process of creating playlists. I do it quite differently. I have many different playlists catering to different genres and moods. The standard pop, metal and EDM playlists but also ones built around a very specific sound. Sometimes I hear a song and it triggers something in me. I get this incessant need to build a whole playlist around it and I cannot rest until that playlist is created. Which happened most recently with Attitude by fromis_9. Now I have a whole playlist with songs like it. But I don't keep the size of the playlist limited. Any song that fits the vibes will go into the appropriate playlists. And I always play them on shuffle because I like to be surprised by where Spotify decides to take me that day. Shit gets REALLY wild when I just play my folder of „liked songs“ on shuffle. Giving me Lorna Shore and Weeekly back to back. But there are some playlists that I approach in a similar matter to you. Sometimes I like to imagine what a „perfect“ concert setlist might look like from a specific artist. This is where I set a strict limit on the number of songs. And creating one of these setlists can take days, if not weeks. I obsess over the song choices, the order of the songs, everything. Trying to portray the full scope of an artist's work, picking from all points in their career but also making sure that the songs flow into each other. Creating a cohesive experience for this imaginary concert. And it's not easy. The hardest part is deciding which songs NOT to include. But I can't make a 50-song setlist. That's just not realistic, right? So far I've only done two of these setlists (Dreamcatcher and Ateez) but I definitely want to do more of those. And then there's a third mode: Playing music for other people. I'm VERY particular about this. I never just let a playlist run through, each song is hand picked in the moment. Reading the room, always considering the current atmosphere, what kind of song might fit. When someone has a request, I don't just play that immediately, I transition into it over several songs. The flow of the music is very important to me. Might be a strange thing to say but I'm very good at playing music. I think I'd actually make for a decent DJ if I knew how to operate the equipment and create actual transitions.

Marcel Wannieck

I already sent you a DM over this but I'm more than willing to be the one to keep track of all the comebacks and debuts for you. Because I already do that! It's this list right here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/135aU8nhT21VD8t4gppmmxrAaDEYBt6NCUH4Av2NdHNA I've linked it several times before but you don't seem to be using it. And maybe it's because the way the list is structured doesn't work for you but I'm happy to do it in a different format. I just need to know what you need. And so far it's only music videos and the most basic of information but if you need more background info, chances are that I already have it and if not, I can find shit out for you. What you need to know about me: even among my Kpop friends, I'm considered to be the one who's extra obsessed with the genre. I listen to EVERYTHING by EVERYONE. I listen to all the albums. I have over 6,000 Kpop songs in my main playlist. And I've only been listening to this genre for three years. Even when I haven't heard something yet, at some point I will. I always go back, do full on marathons of older Kpop artists, listening to their complete discographies. Like PSY for example. I recently watched ALL of his MVs and am just about to start listening to his albums starting with the first one from 2001. With the current fourth gen groups I'm pretty much entirely caught up. Except the super nugu ones but I follow Nugupromoter and Nugu Boys on Twitter to get info on those as well. The drip do be fire tho 🔥 Dreamcatcher is on that playlist? Now I really need that listening party for their latest album!

Oh! You attended the (G)i-dle's concert in Berlin? Did you go for the day 1? This might sound a bit weird or creepy, but I was there and I might have seen you. Like I was waiting and standing in the queue in front of the building and since I went there alone, I was listening to music and just looking around and then I saw someone and he seemed familiar to me, so I started to think why and from where I may have know him and then I realised it could be you (based on your profile photo here). I didn't know what to do, since we have never met and you couldn't recognise me from the profile photo as I recognised you. Also you were (if it was you) one whole line apart from me, so I would have had to shout a bit at you, which would have been really weird. So, if it was you, were you wearing a black t-shirt with something purple/pink on the front side? Also one of the people, who were there with you in the group you talked to, was a lady with really short hair. I don't know if I can describe anything else to make it more clear.

Marcel Wannieck

Yes, that was me. I was wearing my The Midnight shirt which has this neon coloured pixel art printed on the front. The "lady with really short hair" was a guy btw. I suspect he's a trans man but I didn't ask. I actually went there alone as well and got to know these people while waiting in line.

WiseSmellyLegs

Oh... I was not able to see the guy properly to be able to tell... I was wearing pink and white batika t-shirt, but I don't know if that's helpful anyhow... I also wear glasses... But since I know now, I'll greet you the next time, if it is okay from your side.

Marcel Wannieck

Can't say I recall seeing you there. I also don't know what you look like which certainly doesn't make things easier. But yes, on the slim chance that you see me again, absolutely feel free to say hi! Does this count as getting recognized in public? Am I famous now?

WiseSmellyLegs

Sure it does! Sooner or later you will have your own fan meetings before each concert in Germany :'D
