I was gonna take a creative break and jam to the music I'm studying for my producing style; thought it'd be fun to jam along a little bit together!

The artists mentioned are TIMBALAND and SE7EN if you want to go check 'em out yourself :)

BTW: COMFLEX by Stray Kids is definitely going to be in my musical studying lineup because god damn I love the way they play with the rhythm

I'm so glad you like Comflex ❤️, it's my top song on the album for upbeat song.

I haven’t finished the whole video yet, so I don’t know if you didn’t mention it there, but what books do you read to study music theory?

Growing up with a dad that DJs and used to bboy, I have a fond love for that early 2000's rnb/rap/hip hop scene cause of my parents. I never would've seen myself so in love with kpop before, but I think that's also why I absolutely love songs like XG's Left Right

Marcel Wannieck

I've definitely heard that Timbaland song! It's been a while, gets me kinda nostalgic 😄 Really interesting to hear your inspirations and the thought process behind it all. You can bet I'll be rooting for you and your group!

I—your dad what? That’s COOL! I have a true fondness for that era of music too. I’m obsessed with bringing back styles from then to the future and innovating the sound forward.

I didn’t mention it in the video! I have been reading “Music Theory” for dummies. It’s SUPER literal. It’s what I needed. I needed literal descriptions of what a “beat” is, and guidance on how to count on beat. That and paired with Andrew Huang’s 30min music theory video (available on YT) is what I keep watching. Physical text helps me UNDERSTAND it better, the video helps me remember it!

the last song was my favorite! if you make a song like that but with like a modern/ more playful topline... i would loose my shit🧎

PD where are the listening parties? Is there a delay just wondering. These songs are awesome

Not done watching yet, but I want to study music theory as well; so I understand more of the sounds I'm hearing and the instruments (digital or organic) being used in songs. Especially in kpop where any one given song can sound like 3 different genres 😂😂😂 I loved this video! I've been wondering what your boy group sound would be like! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ohh PD I cant wait to see the group you debut, its honestly so amazing to be a witness to the process of you becoming a kpop producer.
