So, how is the fourth chapter? Is it worth the wait?

Now, we are working on the last chapter. But before that, let's take a break from Daireiger for a while. There's something I want to talk about.

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Ai-generated pictures.'

Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, etc. There are a lot of them.

Some of the artists against them since Ai is basically collected millions of other pictures and learned them into math algorithm (correct me if I was wrong).

So, to make it simple, it's more like a ripoff from "real" artists' art.

For me personally, it's just a new tool.

When the first time I saw a tool to render 3d pictures,  POSER, DAZ, it was like a big game changer.

I don't have any talents to draw, period.

And with these new "tools", I can finally fulfill my dream to make my own comics.

Awesome, right? Not really. For some peoples, even until now, these works can't be accepted as "real art".

For a simple example, 3dCG comics would never be accepted as Manga/Doujin on e.hentai.

And these CG comic is still not accepted to be sold on some websites selling comics.

These two months, I tried to learn myself, what is this new game changer tool.

Is it really that good?

The answer is... OH MY GOD! My renders are nothing compared to these generated images!

It's almost the same reaction as the first time I rendered a cg picture.

The possibilities are infinite.

So, will I leave DAZ/Poser? Not now.

The technology is still on early stage IMO, there are still lot of room for improvement. I can imagine if this tech is fully integrated to other software like DAZ or others. Right now Daz only implements it on Iray with Ai upscaling. What if it later use Ai to help generate image only with words?

What if the Ai help the lighting, the setting, even the models it self?

It looks that I dream too much, but I have a feeling that this will come sooner than we think. This tech is growing rapidly.

In no time, making comic or even movies is as easy as how you type on MS-Word.

I'll show you what I can do in two months playing with AI.

I hope you enjoy...

It’ll be pretty cool if you try to make an ai-generated mc/corruption manga comic in the future😝

To balance the discussion, let me tell you that I generally dislike AI drawings. I hate how, for example, Pixiv has been completely taken over by AI uploaders since October, dumping their packages of 200 almost identical pictures each day or sometimes even multiple times a day. It's so meaningless. What's the point of showing off these works if they're all so similar and if person B uploads almost the same pictures, and person C and D too because they're all using the same software? I think it's soulless. I don't "feel" anything looking at the 20 images from G9 above because it feels to me like I've seen them hundreds of times already. These AI uploaders are phasing out the real artists, and we all know that this is an unstoppable process. As for G9MP, I can't say I'm looking forward to us switching over to this software. We would (disregarding the mistakes that AI still makes) get prettier pictures, or at least more detailed ones, and it would be cheaper to make (no more need to buy models, backgrounds and props), but the pictures would lack identity. It wouldn't look like a G9MP work anymore. You might argue that G9 already makes pictures with software that is available to everyone, so that there already is no way his pictures can be truly unique, but it's not as simple as putting models in a background and pressing enter. Attention to things like lighting and camera work makes a big difference and makes his DAZ pictures have more quality than the pictures from many other DAZ users using the same models. In short, I feel that the pictures G9 has been making so far contain a sort of signature, a sort of own style, and I would hate to see that being exchanged for soulless and almost effortless generic pictures that quickly stop being remarkable.

Im reminded of the argument just 3 years ago where people complained about how some writers were using porn pics to illustrate their games vs. those that drew out the scenes.

In the end, I am more interested in the story and the corruption,

I am also curious which program you actually used for this as the first 3 I tried had filters on them that would not allow me to do any adult content or violence.

The plot, the characters and the world building are the main things for me. The great artwork is a real bonus. I liked mpgrey's use of the word soulless. when I first saw AI are on Deviantart I was amazed... then I saw the flaws (always the fingers, the odd extra eyebrow or deformity) and then the sameness in design. very very few AI pics stood out of the morass of AI images uploaded. If everyone goes the AI route who will be the artist to feed that voracous monster? Looking forward to the fifth (and final? hopefully not) installment.

It doesn't seem to be your style or art. AI is always an auxiliary tool. If even artistic creation is done by machines, how can people's souls be liberated?

Your AI-generated images look amazing! Could you share which tools or platforms you used to create them? For example, MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, or something else?
