Chapter 16

(Flashback 2 Months Ago)

“This is it.” I muttered lowly as I came upon the Uzumaki Clan’s Mask Storage Temple and slowly made my way inside while making sure there were no traps in the place.

Arriving at the podium full of oni-masks I quickly scanned for the specific mask and retrieved it.

‘This is the one.’ I thought while looking down at the mask that would allow one to ‘control’ the Shinigami.

With that done my Mangekyō came to life and activating Kamui, a swirl appeared in the air for a moment before 2 bound bodies dropped to the floor. The bodies belonged to two random shinobi from Kusagakure that I had captured for this specific purpose.

Leaving one body on the ground I walked up to the other one and looked down at the terrified eyes of the random man and silently cast Kotoamatsukami on him making his eyes go glassy.

Untying him, I then silently handed him the mask and thinking about it for a moment also handed him my Stamp before taking a few steps back in case things went wrong somehow.

‘Moment of truth.’ I thought then watched with baited breath as the man wordlessly put on the mask on his face and immediately screamed afterwards as I sensed a figure appear behind the man.

Frowning as not even my EMS could see the form of the Shinigami, I also activated the powers of the Tenseigan that I had received when I had captured Hinata and breathed a sigh of relief when its figure appeared behind the man.

It was actually terrifying if I was being honest, with its mere presence almost suffocating the room with only my own strengths and Defenses preventing me from being too affected by it.

“Aaargh!”

The man suddenly yelled in agony again as the Shinigami slashed its own belly with the same happening to its possessed target. I then watched at what could only be called a soul come out of the Shinigami’s wound before disappearing entirely.

Moments later just as instructed, the man still in agony with one hand covering his fatal wound, slowly brought up my stamp up to his own arm and applied pressure there for three whole seconds before letting go.

While that was happening, I held my breath and watched the arm of the Shinigami carefully looking for any signs of change only to curse as nothing happened.

Thinking fast I quickly jumped into action appearing by the man again taking the Stamp from his hands before using my control over Extra-Dimensional Energy to be able to interact with the spirit and pressed the Stamp down on its hand.

To my relief it worked, but in my rush to capture another target I forgot that this certain target was an actual deity and I found myself gasping for breath as the Shinigami used its free hand and held me in a choke hold.

“Gghhk!”

Looking up I found a pair of empty yellow eyes staring down at me making me involuntarily shiver before I transformed back into my slime form causing the Shinigami to lose its grip on me. Landing on the ground I quickly transformed back and got away from the deity now looking at it wearily and hearing the Stamp clutter down on the ground.

Pulling up my Notifications I let out a smirk seeing the notification for my latest capture along with the countdown next to its name. Turning my attention back to the Shinigami I saw it giving me an odd look before it completely vanished when the shinobi finally died and collapsed forward letting the Shinigami Mask clutter to the ground.

“Haah that was unexpected. Now for the next part.” I whispered to myself with a small sag of my shoulders before quickly setting down a bloody white rag next to the remaining bound man and making a few hand seals.

“Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei (Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation).”

Thousands of sheets of paper suddenly surrounded the bound man on the floor covering him completely. The sheets of paper then rapidly took the shape of a man of normal height with spiky golden hair and wearing a white haori over the typical Konoha Jonin uniform.

“Wha? W-Where am I?” The man asked in confusion blinking his blue eyes with black sclera in confusion.

Ignoring the man, I walked up to him and nonchalantly shoved a kunai with a talisman at the end to the man’s head making him freeze in place as color returned to his skin leaving only the black sclera to signify his undead status.

“Better.” I said with a nod before summoning my stamp to my hand again and casually stamping the now motionless man in the arm before putting my stamp away.

“Now Yondaime, seal your half of the Nine Tails into myself.” I ordered firmly.

The now identified Yondaime, or Minato Namikaze, woodenly followed my orders while remaining silent the entire time.

Minutes later the process was done and I put Minato in the typical wooden coffin that all Reanimations went back to when not in use.

‘Welp, I think that I just burned any bridges of Naruto and I ever becoming friendly with one another.’ I thought silently before shaking my head, taking a seat on the floor and adapting a meditative position.

A moment later I found myself in my mindscape which resembled a sewer for now and casually walked where I could sense two huge sources of chakra up ahead with one much bigger than the other.

At the end of the hallway, I finally came to a huge room where two steel gates could be seen with one open and the other still locked. I walked into the locked gate and stopped about half a meter from it and curiously looked inside immediately spotting two huge red slitted eyes staring back at me.

I stayed silent and stared back at what was obviously Kurama finding it somewhat humorous that I was having a staring contest with the fox.

“Well, are you not going to say anything…Kurama?” I asked letting out a teasing smirk at the end not even blinking when the fox tried to skewer me with its claws in return with the cage stopping it just centimeters from reaching me.

“HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME, HUMAN?”

“Hmhmhm I know a lot of things.” I said in amusement not fazed at all by its little intimidation tactic. “You and your siblings names for one, the name of your creator and his brother…” My amusement increased at how the fox only seemed to become madder at my words.

“The name of the Sage’s mother and the fact that you and your siblings were originally one being. The Ten Tails.” I finished with my face losing all amusement and a serious look replacing it.

“H-How could you possibly know about that?” Kurama asked in shock retracting its claws and walking forward until he finally came into view letting me witness the massive form of Kurama in all of its splendor.

“Peace brother. He means no ill will.” Another voice suddenly spoke before the form of Isobu came into view with his own huge form coming to a stop just behind me.

“Isobu! What’s going on here!? Is this your Jinchuuriki?” Kurama asked in confusion.

Jumping up, I landed on top of Isobu’s head and casually took a seat now having a better vantage point. “Yep. I became Isobu’s jinchuuriki about half a month ago after kicking his ass and that of his previous jinchuuriki.” I responded calmly.

“That’s impossible. A mere human cannot contain two Biju at once. Their body would implode from within due to too much chakra without a medium. Who are you?” Kurama denied now looking at me warily.

“You see…”

I took the next few minutes explaining to Kurama the same things I had already told Isobu about myself. Namely that I wasn’t human, how Akatsuki was trying to revive the Juubi and consequently Kaguya, the return of the Otsutsuki Clan in the future and me leaving this world at the end of it all.

At the end Kurama remained silent contemplating what he had just heard for a while before looking at me again with a serious expression. “What is your plan for us?”

“Nothing.” I said with a shake of my head getting Kurama to narrow its eyes at me probably frustrated that it couldn’t get a read on me with his negative emotion sensing ability. “I actually want to offer you the same deal that I offered Isobu.”

“And that is?”

“Cooperate with me until we deal with Akatsuki and especially the Otsutsuki Clan and I will offer you and your siblings’ true freedom.” I said finishing off my speech with a serious look on my face while mentally lowering my defenses allowing Kurama to get a read on me so he knew I was telling the truth.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Exactly that. At the end of our journey here in this world, I will free you and your siblings and take you to my world where I give you my word that no one will ever persecute you or seal you again for as long as you live.”

Kurama stayed silent at that, just looking at me with a serious expression on its lupine face.

“He’s telling the truth brother. I have seen this world of his for myself and other than his mates, it is devoid of any other human. It’s…It’s wonderful.” Isobu said backing me up.

“He could be lying for all we know. What if we help him and at the end we just end up as we always do? Sealed or locked away for our power.” Kurama denied strongly with a shake of its head making Isobu sigh at Kurama’s stubbornness.

“Hahahaha while I can see where you’re coming from, you overestimate yourself Kurama.” I said in return with a grin getting an angry growl from the fox.

“What did you say!?”

Losing my grin, I stood up from Isobu’s head and jumped down to the ground. Then taking a deep breath, I for the first time released all the power I had been keeping a tight leash on this entire time. That being Rimuru’s power, Satou’s, Hashirama’s, my Extra-Dimensional Energy, Tenseigan Chakra Mode and the strength I had been able to personally accumulate all these years.

Aura, Chakra, Sage Chakra, Magic and raw energy were suddenly all released from my body creating a huge purple-black aura around me filled with black lightning and fire that were warping the space around me even here in my mindscape.

As for Isobu and Kurama, they had been forced to take a step back in surprise and shock at the release of my power with Kurama now looking at me in slight fear.

“Do you see now Kurama?” I asked with my voice taking on a weird double tone with one voice sounding much darker than the other. “While your strength will be helpful, I ultimately don’t need you to accomplish my goal.”

“W-what are you really?” Kurama asked looking at me closely in case I made any sudden moves.

“At the moment I am nothing but a mere slime.” I said looking down at my hand and making a fist. “Soon though, I will become a True Dragon. A being far beyond your imagination that would make the Juubi and Kaguya combined look tame in comparison.” I revealed knowing I was close to evolving especially with the upcoming war with sound and sand coming soon.

“Besides you should know I’m not lying with that handy ability of yours.” I finished powering down as it was a bit hard maintaining all that power at once since this was my first time doing such a thing.

“Tsk, fine.” Kurama relented letting out a sigh and relaxing a bit now that I had powered down. “I’ll admit that I didn’t detect any lie from you but that still doesn’t mean I’m just going to work with you. If you want to use my power, then you have to beat me first fair and square without using your bloodlines.”

“Ha! So, it all came down to pride huh? Typical of you brother.” Isobu let out with a chuckle hitting the nail on the head due to the small blush that grew on Kurama’s snout.

‘Can foxes even blush?’ I thought with a deadpan watching as Kurama immediately shouted out denials at Isobu.

“A fight huh? Fine with me.” I said interrupting their argument and casually unlocking the cage to Kurama’s seal while they were still talking.

“I hope you’re prepared. Just because Isobu likes you, don’t expect me to go easy on you.” Kurama said standing up to his full height and grinning somewhat menacingly at me.

“Haha wouldn’t have it any other way.” I said with a matching grin.

(End of Flashback)

With my current strength, it had not been a problem at all for me to kick Kurama’s ass earning his respect and cooperation.

Of course, with Satou’s bullshit OP abilities, it was only a matter of time before I overwhelmed Kurama by gaining resistances to anything the fox threw at me.

If I had been allowed to use my bloodlines along with the rest of my abilities then it would have been bullying at that point with how effective Mokuton and the Sharingan were on tailed beasts. Something that Kurama would occasionally grumble about at how utterly unfair my powers were.

Well, putting my meeting with Kurama aside, it was finally time to return to Konoha and prepare for the upcoming Chunin Exams and the war with Suna and Sound that would follow.

=====

(3 Months Later)

“These ‘contacts’ are still really uncomfortable. They make my eyes all itchy.” A soft feminine voice said.

“Just bear with it a little longer until this mess comes to an end.” I said in return while looking to the side and spotting a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes wearing a dark pink shirt, pink short shorts and an orange headband around her head which had been a gift from myself.

This girl was none other than Hikari Uchiha who had gone through a bit of a makeover to disguise who she truly was. Thanks to my position, I had been able to smooth things over where Hikari had been able to move in to the village without too much scrutiny from the higher ups.

Hikari currently had a small apartment near the Senju Compound that was there to disguise the fact that she actually lived with me by using the portals from my Demiplane to travel from the apartment to our home since they were connected.

There had been a few issues at first when I informed Izumi and Kushina that we would be having another girl join us but they had thankfully mellowed out after finding out about Hikari’s backstory.

Now while they weren’t friends per se due to Hikari not really trusting anyone but myself, especially Izumi since she was an Uchiha, things were at least amicable between the girls as if they had come to an agreement.

We were currently out on a stroll after having managed to convince Hikari to come along since she rarely left the house in the 3 months, she had been staying with us and since I didn’t have to train my students today.

Kushina and Izumi were currently busy dealing with stuff having to do with the Chunin Exams since they had been chosen to take part in the first exam so they unfortunately couldn’t accompany us much to their chagrin.

Speaking of my cute Genin, they had thrown themselves to training once we had returned to Konoha with a fervor after seeing what a true fight between shinobi was like in the mission to Wave. At the moment I could say with confidence that thanks to my Talents and perks, my students were already stronger than most Genin and Chunin in the village.

I had complete confidence that if they were allowed to show their skills during the final round of the exams, that they will undoubtedly be promoted to Chunin. Of course, that was a big IF as the matches were randomized and Orochimaru would commence his attack during the Sasuke’s match if canon was still relevant.

“Haah the buildings may be different but the true nature of a Shinobi is still the same huh?” Hikari said with a bitter look on her face.

“I’m sorry to say that analogy doesn’t only apply to Shinobi but all human beings. Even back in my original world with more than five thousand years of recorded history, mankind hadn’t really changed much in the ways of war. Just the methods and the weapons changed but conflict was still present unfortunately.” I revealed in a quiet whisper making sure that only Hikari heard me.

“That’s really depressing.” Hikari whispered back with a sad sigh.

“Hey cheer up. A peaceful world may yet be possible for us. Don’t forget that we have our own world we can fully shape and build to our tastes.” I said with a smile trying to cheer her up.

“Yeah…We do huh?” Hikari said blinking in realization before a small smile lit up her beautiful face.

I smiled wider at succeeding in bringing her mood up again before frowning as I heard a particular voice.

“Hey! If you don’t let go of him, I won’t forgive you! You fool!”

“We can just ignore that right?” Hikari asked while looking up at me with a slightly pleading face.

“Haah I wish we could but the old man ordered me to keep an eye on anything fishy happening especially with foreign shinobi entering the village for the exams.” I said with a sigh and started walking in the direction I heard the shout with Hikari following beside me.

“And that shout belonged to Naruto, Konoha’s Jinchuuriki, meaning I have to check it out.”

“The more I hear about this Naruto the less I like him.” Hikari said with a cute pout just barely visible on her face.

“Trust me, you’re not the only one.” I said with a sweat drop thinking about Hanabi, Yakumo, Izumi and even Hinata on rare occasions.
