Chapter 11
(A Week Later)
“Good morning Kiyotaka-kun~”
Hearing my name being called I looked up from the book I was reading to spot Kikyō cheerily waving at me from her desk with a huge smile on her face.
“Morning Kikyō.” I greeted her in return and went back to my book well aware of all the jealous or curious stares now being sent my way.
I didn’t even blame them for it as Kikyō had surprised everyone when she had invited me to lunch the day after our night together in front of the whole class. Now normally since I already hung out with most of the girls in the class, this wouldn’t have caught anyone’s eye but because Kikyō rarely talked to me before that day it had raised more than a few eyebrows.
Add in the fact that Kikyō was the second most popular girl in the year next to Honami? Yeah, I could see why that had managed to garner so much attention.
“I don’t like Kushida. Something seems off about her.” Tsubasa said bluntly while we were having lunch later that day.
‘That’s because you have good instincts Tsubasa.’ I thought silently taking a sip of my drink as I sat in between Honami and Kei with Airi, Tsubasa, Haruka, Haruka, Chiaki and Hiyori taking the seats around me.
“I don’t like her either. First, she ignores Kiyotaka and now she’s all buddy buddy with him? She’s up to something.” Kei said next with a frown on her face.
‘You my dear Kei are just jealous. It’s practically written all over your face.’ I easily concluded going by the way Kei was all but glued to my side holding onto one of my arms.
“So, you think she’s faking it?” Chiaki asked curiously.
“Her expressions are weird.” Hiyori whispered quietly from her seat in front of me.
‘And another girl with good instincts.’
“Come on everyone, I’m sure Kushida-san can’t be that bad. She did help us convince an upperclassman to sell us his previous midterm exam results.” Honami ever the nice girl said in defense of Kushida though her words would have had more of an impact if she currently wasn’t also possessively holding onto one of my arms.
“I guess I see your point.” Kei said begrudgingly.
They were right to be cautious as Kikyō would now join me and Ichika every evening back in our Sweet Home after she found out how to use the portals. One evening after our nightly activities, I had explained to her what my end goal was shocking the girl again when I mentioned that we would be leaving the world at the end of the year.
While skeptical at first, Kikyō had nonetheless agreed to help me with my plans going forward. Knowing how useful she could be, I had shared what would be happening in the future in regards to the school and how I planned to tackle each Special Test.
In an amusing turn of events Kikyō had also become rather submissive when we were alone together or in the presence of Ichika. Let’s just say that after being almost killed by the girl, Kikyō was now scared shitless of Ichika who had made it a habit of threatening her at every opportunity reminding her of her place.
The rule of the jungle at its finest. There is always someone stronger than you or in this case more psychotic than her. A lesson that she took to heart as Kikyō now walked on eggshells whenever she was around my cute and sexy little devil.
“Speaking of that. Here Hiyori, your copy of the midterm exams.” I said pulling out a copy from my bag after getting Kei to temporarily release my arm.
“Mn thanks Kiyotaka-kun~ And don’t worry I won’t show it to any of my class.” Hiyori with an angelic smile in thanks as she took the paper off my hands.
“You’re most welcome.”
It said a lot about how everyone viewed Hiyori that nobody commented on my action even if Hiyori was from a different class.
With only a week before exams started, Honami and I had already come up with the plan to have the tutors teach what was on the exam paper to those we were tutoring. Then two days before the exam we would come clean with everyone and present them with the exam sheet in an attempt to get them to study harder and for the class to get a higher grade overall.
‘Speaking of midterms, are you finally going to show your fangs Dragon Boy?’ I thought silently thinking about the current leader of Class-C and the events that originally happened in canon with Airi and Sudo.
=====
(Later that Evening)
‘Is this really fucking happening?’ I thought in annoyance as I either blocked or avoided a barrage of punches and kicks aimed my way by none other than Manabu Horikita.
Due to the effects of the Universal Calibration perk no doubt, I had strangely found myself wanting to take a walk this evening and seeing nothing wrong with it I went along with it.
Of course, this was when I came upon the scene of Manabu and Suzune arguing after finishing my walk and having been forced to step in when I saw Manabu about to hurt the girl. A girl who I wasn’t really close to, had made any attempts to get close to and to be honest had no reason to get close to.
Suzune was just one of the girls that I believed would hesitate to follow me as she was obsessed with catching up to her brother and actually wanted to graduate from this school.
I had sort of given up at this point at seducing the girl so this interaction had caught me by surprise.
I wouldn’t be opposed to fucking her though. Horikita even if she had a horrible personality was still hot.
“You are well trained.” Manabu finally said as he retreated back a few steps and took on a more relaxed stance.
“I guess I am.” I said with a shrug relaxing as well and standing up straight while putting my hands in my pockets.
“I remember you now. Ayanokōji Kiyotaka.” Manabu said taking on a thoughtful look and giving me a closer look. “One of the only students to score a perfect score on the entrance exams.”
Knowing that he was fishing for information I didn’t fall for his trap. “Was there a question in there somewhere?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Hmm,” Manabu’s expression then changed slightly as he let out a small smirk. “I guess not. Ayanokōji-kun…How would you like to join the Student Council?”
I ignored the gasp coming from Suzune and pretended to think about it for a moment before shrugging again. “I’ll think about it.”
“Good, the Student Council could use someone of your abilities.” Manabu said walking away finally before stopping for a moment. “You could learn a thing or two from him Suzune.”
Not receiving a response from the silent girl, Manabu finally left leaving me alone with Horikita who was now looking at me with a shocked look on her face.
“Ready to head back?” I asked the girl softly extending my hand towards her in an attempt to help her up from where she was still sitting in the ground.
“I didn’t ask for your help.” Suzune quietly muttered with her face facing the ground but nevertheless she grabbed my extended hand and let me pull her up.
“I couldn’t help but step in when I saw you were getting cornered by someone.” I looked away and shrugged not feeling bad about that lie as while she would be relatively fine, that last move from her brother would have still left her with a bruise and that was not something I could accept. Even if I had no plans of taking her along with me, she was still mine.
“Besides were friends, right? I didn’t want to see you get hurt.”
“We are not friends!” Suzune immediately blurted out with a blush at my answer before shaking her head and instead hurried to change topics. “You are quite skilled. I’ve never seen my brother have such a hard time matching someone.”
Leading the way to a vending machine I thought about my answer as Suzune followed beside me. “I don’t know about your brother but I’ve been trained in combat since a very young age.”
I felt Suzune staring at me at that answer for a while before finally opening her mouth. “You are quite mysterious. You’re good at fighting, sports, academics, many musical instruments and even cooking. Yet you sometimes say the strangest things not to mention that you’re not very good in social interactions with people you don’t know. Not that I’m much to talk about but still…”
“Ooh, have you been observing me this whole time Horikita? I’m flattered really.” I teased knowing deep inside that due to the binding the girl had no choice in the matter as I would always be a constant in her mind even if she didn’t understand the reason why.
“Hmph, idiot!” Horikita turned her head away from me with another blush on her face and made to leave. “Anyways, see you tomorrow Ayanokōji-kun and…thanks.” She finished in a low whisper that I barely managed to catch before she left in a hurry.
“Hahaha so she does have her cute sides.” I whispered in amusement with a shake of my head before turning to the side and speaking clearly. “So, what can I do for you Chairman?”
“Hmhmhm your observational skills are good as I expected Ayanokōji-kun.” A man in his 40s walked out of the shadows from the side with a small smile on his face.
Turning to properly face Arisu’s father I greeted the man with a small bow of my head. “Good evening, Sir. What can I do for you this fine evening?”
“Would you mind accompanying me to my office Ayanokōji-kun? I have a few things I would like to discuss with you.” The man got right to the point.
Raising a brow in curiosity I slowly nodded my head. “Of course. Am I in trouble Sir?”
“Hahaha not at all. Be assured that if you were in trouble, we would be having a completely different discussion right now.”
“Very well, please lead the way Chairman.”
Walking behind the man I turned my head and stared at a spot hidden from view for a moment before smirking and turning forward again.
=====
(Later that evening.)
My suspicions for the Chairman’s visit turned out to be true as the man had wanted to discuss with me about my ‘father’ calling him and demanding that I immediately resign from the school and go back to the White Room. The Chairman had called me over to reassure me that he had no intention of doing that and that my ‘father’ had no power here while he was in charge.
I was basically told to just take it easy and enjoy my school life which I was already expecting.
Keeping my face blank during the entire conversation, I had thanked the man even giving him a small smile to his surprise and excused myself. On the way out of his office I came to a stop once more as I came face to face with the Chairman’s daughter, Arisu Sakayanagi and another yandere that was literally crazy for me almost on the same level as Ichika.
“It’s been quite a long time, Ayanokōji-kun. It’s been eight years and 213 days, actually.” A lilac haired girl with violet eyes commented with a small smile and a cane on her right hand.
‘Yikes! Yup, this girl is seriously obsessed with me. Though I don’t know what it says about me that instead of finding myself creeped out or something, I instead find it rather cute and endearing. Best not to think about it too much Kiyo.’ I thought while blinking slowly trying to decide what to say.
“It’s you…” I whispered deciding to go with this route.
“Heh. No, I suppose you don’t know me. It’s just me who kno-” Arisu nodded her head as if she didn’t hear me at all then she suddenly paused and blinked in surprise looking at me incredulously. “Wait…You remember me?!”
I nodded my head slowly, keeping my face blank. “I remember seeing a small lilac haired girl next to the Chairman about 9 years ago. I believe I was playing chess at the time.” I responded quietly making the girl look at me in shock.
It was true too from a certain perspective.
“I-I see…” Arisu slowly blinked looking as if I had caught her completely off guard with my response. “Ahem, I’m pleased that you remember me Ayanokōji-kun.” Suddenly her demeanor completely changed now looking extremely pleased with herself to the point it made her look smug.
“May I know your name? While I do remember you, all I know about you is that you are probably related to the Chairman.” I spoke again seeing as the girl seemed lost in her own thoughts and was just staring at me now and not saying anything.
Arisu seeing that she still hadn’t introduced herself blushed in embarrassment before politely coughing into her hand. “My apologies. My name is Arisu Sakayanagi and I must say I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a long time now Ayanokōji-kun.”
‘This girl is seriously thirsty.’ I thought with a deadpan before sighing silently and preparing myself for the conversation to come. ‘Well, at least she’s already Stamped. The question that remains now is if she will be the next girl to start following me around everywhere?’
“You know I always have wanted to beat you Ayanokōji–kun. To prove that natural born geniuses are superior to those that are created.” Arisu said as we stood by the pier overlooking the sea and coincidentally the same spot, I had caught Kikyō.
With my keen eyesight I could immediately tell that although Arisu was still using her cane to walk, there was no need for it at all and was just pretending at this point no doubt to not rouse any suspicions.
“Hihi, I actually began playing chess after seeing you that day, hoping I’d get to face you someday.” Arisu giggled while looking at me with an intense yearning in her eyes. “I desperately wanted to know more about you. Like a childhood friend who pined after you for years, yet never found you.”
“Oh? And is your goal still to defeat me?” I asked with a raised eyebrow also turning to look at her.
“It is or I should rather say, it was. Now for some unexplainable reason all I want to do is be close to you. I wonder why that is?” Arisu asked taking a step closer to me forcing her to look up due to my height.
“How am I supposed to know?” I asked with a smile forming on my face which only seemed to make the girl extremely happy for some reason based on the blush on her cheeks.
“There’s also another thing… There have been strange things happening in the school lately but somehow nobody but myself even knows this is happening.” Arisu said with a small smirk forming on her lips.
“Such as?” I asked leadingly already knowing where this was going. I had planned for this after all.
“Disappearances, loss of memory and the most important in my opinion as this one actually concerns me.” Arisu recounted casually before casting her cane to the side proving my words from earlier and smirking even wider when my reaction didn’t change.
“Curiously enough, one day I just woke up and I was suddenly cured of this illness that has been affecting me my whole life. In fact, I have never felt better. It’s as if I was never sick in the first place.” Arisu revealed with her smirk turning into a soft smile that highlighted her beautiful face.
“Are you going somewhere with this?” I asked softly.
“…Was it you Ayanokōji-kun?” Arisu finally asked looking at me closely. “Out of sheer coincidence I overheard you talking about Koenji-kun a few days ago, someone that for all intents and purposes everyone was supposed to have forgotten about. With the exception of you and me that is.”
“…”
“…”
‘Exactly as planned.’ I thought in satisfaction as I had purposely excluded Arisu from the Gone and Forgotten perk knowing that she would become curious when the disappearances started happening. After that it was just keeping out an eye for Arisu and making sure to drop the name of one of the missing people when she was within hearing range.
I stayed silent for a long moment just staring at Arisu’s pretty violet eyes before closing my eyes and nodding my head confirming her words.
A moment later I felt two dainty hands grab ahold of my shirt before pulling me down to her height and feeling a pair of soft lips meet my own.
Opening my eyes, I caught the sight of two violet eyes looking at me with an intensity that I had only ever felt from Ichika in the past before they slowly closed shut in bliss.
Taking advantage of the moment I brought the girl into my arms properly and responded to her eager kiss. Several minutes later we finally pulled away with Arisu now holding onto my chest while looking at me with a huge smile on her red face.
“That haah was my first kiss. I hope you know this haah means you have to take responsibility for this Ayanokōji-kun.” Arisu said while breathing deeply trying to get air back into her lungs.
“That was the plan.” I said with a small smirk only looking slightly out of breath compared to her.
That evening another Yandere added herself into my harem with barely any input from me. Not that I would ever deny her of course.
She was cute even if she was completely obsessed with me.
