Chapter 2: Training & Shopping
(3 Months Later)
The sound of loud cursing and panting could be heard from a clearing as a black-haired teen laid on the ground, exhausted after another day of training.
“Haah haaah damn it! What am I doing wrong?!” I cursed loudly into the air after another unsuccessful attempt to control my magic.
It had been three months since I had rescued Pandora and I first arrived at this world. In that time, I had kept in contact with Luna and even sent her a birthday present in the form of a set of spells and standard practices to safeguard against accidents during spell creation that I had gotten from one of my mission objectives from the Lovegood Savior mission.
Luna had been very thankful about the gift and now I could expect at least one letter from her every week letting me know what she was up to. I would have normally invited the girl over to my home but had held off for now because I wanted to use the time before school started to train in secret.
Not that it had been very productive mind you.
As it was, I currently found myself cursing my past self for foolishly picking the No Skill Framework Intensity. An Intensity that made it so any Templates or early captures didn’t have access to the skill framework that unconsciously guided them in how train their power to the strength of the original.
Even with my Template of Satou Pendragon/Ichirou Suzuki that allowed me to learn anything instantly by only either seeing it once or performing it once, I was still having a lot of problems since anything I learned was at level 1. Ichirou’s template basically just taught you the technique/spell/skill and you had to use skill points in order to level it up to master level which was level 10.
The problem with that however was that I only received SP (Skill Points) when I killed something and that didn’t translate too well in the Harry Potter world that didn’t have a huge supply of monsters where I could just go and kill to level up. That meant that I had to rely on Soul Talent which was an agonizingly slow process without a proper teacher.
Speaking of Talents, other than training I had been able to complete a few missions during this time along with making a couple of captures.
For missions I had completed the Lovegood Savior, Tutorial and Very Close Family missions getting 100 credits. For captures other than Stan Shunpike, I had captured a Giant t4, Troll t4, female Hippogriff renamed to Cliffo, female Thestral renamed to Varina and a female Unicorn renamed to Keros.
All of it combined had netted me 192 credits after paying off my debt. I did have to sneak off one day to complete a certain prerequisite of the Tutorial and Very Close Family mission though and was thankful that Maya had not found out about it. Or the fact that I may have broken the law and there was a bounty put out for me or at least what I had looked like at the time.
The police were now looking for a guy in his thirties named Seymour Cox for the act of vandalizing a public monument.
Happy hunting, I say.
With my earned credits I had purchased Sticky Fingers, Faerie Feast, Love Spot (Eyes), Added Potential (Ancient Magic) for myself, Athletic Talent, Martial Talent, Wild Talent, Soul Talent, Talent Sharing (Soul), Time-Savers x2, Sexual Calibration, Mapper, Target Tracker, Bounty Tracker, Exit Stage Left, Gone and Forgotten, Grail Knowledge x4, Body Defense x1, Stress Defense x1, Information Defense x2 and Mind Defense x1.
I had also bought Template Stacking I & II for Popsey and Maya. For Popsey I had bought her Efil’s template from Black Summoner who was a high elf with skills in Archery, Magic, Crafting and all things Maid related. For Maya on the other hand, I had bought herGemini De Mille’s template basically allowing her to transform into any person or animal she could think of along with adapting their physical capabilities.
With Maya’s new power, she had been able to get close to a herd of Hippogriff, Thestrals and Unicorns before stamping two of each. After selling the extra we had come back for the captured targets and taken them home with us with Maya’s help.
To finish it off I bought Anthropize for Popsey who I had renamed to Ilulu, Cliffo, Varina and Keros.
Ilulu now had the appearance of a typical elf with blonde hair, green eyes and pointed ears along with growing in height now looking like a typical teenager. Cliffo had light blue hair, green eyes and a huge pair of beautiful green wings on her back. Next Varina was now a petite girl with purple hair, blue eyes and two black horns on top of her head. Finally, Keros now looked like a voluptuous long-haired blonde with blue eyes and a horn on her forehead.
Hearing someone appear at my side I turned my head and saw the new form of Popsey or Ilulu as she was now called dressed in a purple and white maid outfit looking down at me with a soft smile on her face.
There was another thing that changed other than her name and appearance. While before Ilulu looked at me more like one would a child or a family relative. Now Ilulu looked at me as if I was the most precious being in the world to her and treated me with a high amount of reverence.
“It’s time for lunch Master.” Ilulu said with a soft voice in total contrast with her squeaky one from before.
“Haah might as well. Training is not yielding much results at the moment.” I said with a sigh and slowly stood on my feet.
“I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it Master.” Ilulu encouraged with her smile never leaving from her face.
“Thanks, Ilulu. What’s for lunch today?”
“I tried one of the recipes you told me about. Grilled cheese sandwiches. I hope they’re to your liking.”
“Sweet. You’re the best Ilulu~”

(Sometime in August, 1991)
About seven months after arriving in this world I now found myself heading towards Diagon Alley to purchase my supplies for Hogwarts after getting my acceptance letter weeks back.
Riding on the Knight Bus I saw that they had gotten a replacement for Stan after I sold him with the new guy being just as daft as the last. I had come alone to the protest of the girls back home but it couldn’t be helped as other than Maya, none of them could really disguise their unique appearance.
A while later I finally arrived and silently made my way toward the old pub noticing that the muggles tended to ignore the place as if it didn’t exist.
Entering the Cauldron, the noise of the pub immediately reached my ears as if I had just crossed an invisible barrier keeping all noise from escaping. Looking around the place I was not surprised at seeing all the old furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in the Middle Ages.
With a shake of my head at the stupidity of Wizards, I made my way to the back of the pub where the entrance to the Alley was. Stepping out I was met with an empty courtyard except for a lone dustbin by the wall.
Feeling my heart start to race in excitement, I felt a smile break out in my face as I was literally seconds away from seeing the iconic Alley I had read about in my childhood.
Tapping the right brick, a small hole formed in the center before within a few moments the bricks rearranged themselves and created a large archway revealing Diagon Alley just beyond it.
“What the heck, I might as well. Welcome Aether, to Diagon Alley.” I whispered to myself before walking through the archway and into the alley proper with my first destination being the bank.
While looking and sounding calm on the outside, it was completely the opposite on the inside. I was all but geeking out at everything around me trying to take in as much as I could while at the same time doing my best from running into someone or something and looking like an idiot.
As I slowly made my way the winding road idly making note of all the stores I passed, a dark thought suddenly popped up into my head.
The template of Satou Pendragon I had while extremely OP, it relied heavily on the killing of other beings in order to get skill points upon leveling up. Something I had found out by trial and error by having Maya speak Parseltongue to me these past months and only managing to level up the skill to level 3.
Pulling up my status screen I looked at the 2 things that I had also received upon purchasing this template. Namely the Search Entire Map and the 1 Meteor Shower powers. The Search Entire Map was self-explanatory meaning that upon its use I would be able to see all beings in the vicinity of my Map and also gaining the Skill to endlessly add to my Map by exploring the area. I was actually waiting until I got to Hogwarts to use that one.
Next was the Meteor Shower, also self-explanatory as it would bring down a meteor shower in front of me and destroy all enemies in the vicinity. Meaning that based on how my power worked and the literal hundreds of people in my surroundings, with them all being wizards, witches, magical creatures and who knows what else?
Then it stood to reason that if I activated my Meteor Shower power here and quickly had Ilulu take me back home, then I was positive that I would instantly level up to at least lv 100. It became even more tempting when I knew that after each kill, I would be getting loot from everyone based on how my leveling system worked.
‘All it would take is the literal press of the button and I would become one of the strongest beings on this planet if not the strongest. I just have to harden my heart and become a mass murderer.’ I thought blankly before with a shake of my head I dismissed the thought and willed my status screen away and continued my way towards Gringotts.
While I would never admit to being a white knight, that doesn’t in anyway mean that I would just kill innocent people indiscriminately for power. Since this was my second chance at life, I didn’t want to pick up the bad habit of just being content with gaining easy power. That road led to becoming overconfident in my abilities and even to certain death in the future if I didn’t take someone seriously.
Besides there was also the almost certain fact that if I killed everyone here, one of those dead could be a waifu I wanted to Stamp with a certain redhead coming to mind.
My thoughts were almost immediately proven true as I spotted a goggle of redheads in the distance before I lost sight of them.
Coming upon the bronze doors of Gringotts, I caught my first true sight of a goblin standing guard by the side of the doors who bowed to me as I walked in.
‘Damn, they’re much uglier than the movies portrayed them.’ I thought with a small grimace pushing open the second set of doors, this time silver with words engraved upon them.
Entering the bank proper I saw a bunch of goblins all either attending people while sitting behind a counter or working with various metals, gems and gold.
Seeing an empty teller, I immediately walked towards it before somebody else did.
“Morning.” I greeted politely. “I’ve come to make a withdrawal out of the Cordelia Family vault.”
“You have the key, sir?”
I silently showed him the key to my vault and let the goblin inspect it closely for a moment.
“Seems to be in order. I will have someone take you down to the vault.”
Another goblin approached from the side and bid me to follow his through one of the many side doors.
A cart ride later after many turns and twists that would make all the rollercoasters, I had rode on seem like kid rides, we finally arrived to my vault.
“Key please.” The goblin asked me with his hand extended.
Without saying anything I took my key out of my packed and handed it to him. A moment later the door opened with green smoke billowing out from inside the vault. When it cleared moments later, I only just managed to hide my surprise at the ludicrous amount of gold coins stacked inside the huge room even if I had technically already seen something like it.
‘Seeing is believing huh?’ I thought silently and stepped inside with the goblin staying back at the entrance until I was finished.
Looking around I spotted jewelry, swords, spears, shields, old tomes and various wands spread around the room in addition to the gold.
Shaking my head, I pulled out one of the bottomless bags that I had been gifted with when I was younger by my ‘parents’ and began filling it up with as much gold as it could carry. When that was done, I began depositing all the weapons and wands around the room into my inventory along with a bunch of jewelry to see I could enchant them later on.
It took me less than five minutes to finish with everything and another five until I was finally back on the alley.
Now all that was left to do was go shopping for all my school supplies. Normally shopping was dull and boring for me but who wouldn’t feel even a little excited at going shopping for magical supplies and ingredients. Not to mention real life magical books that taught you actual magic.
I’m sure with time this will become just as boring as normal shopping but for now I was going to enjoy the experience.

(Hours Later)
Yep, just like I thought.
After a few hours of going around from store to store my excitement had dwindled to an all-time low and now I just wanted this trip to be over with.
I was just now coming out of Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions after having to stand there for half an hour getting measured for my robes due to there being a line. I was understandably feeling a little annoyed at spending so much time in there that I wasn’t paying too much attention where I was going and my prediction from earlier came true and I ran into someone.
“Oof!” I heard the person say in front of me sounding like an older man to my ears.
Thanks to Body Tune-Up I had managed to remain standing while the same couldn’t be said with the person in question. Looking down after shaking my head a bit I felt my eyes widen for a fraction of a second before I managed to school my expression.
“Damn kid, what are they feedin ya?” said who could be none other than Mundungus Fletcher. A petty thief and one of the original members of the Order of the Phoenix.
“Plenty of meat and vegetables.” I quipped back as I reached down and helped the man back to his feet. The man totally oblivious when I stamped him on the back of the hand while disguising it as offering a helping hand.
“Che, cheeky brat. Now mind where you walkin now. Not everyone is goin to be as nice as me.” Said the thief with a slight smirk before he went on his way, looking much happier now for some reason.
Heading in the opposite direction, I pocketed my stamp with a slight smirk of my own.
Unknown to either of us the word ‘sucker’ was muttered from our lips at the same time.
‘Thanks for the contribution kind, sir. You saved me the trouble of searching for you.’ I thought in amusement looking at the notification that I had just received for the completion of a mission.
The mission being the successful capture of the man I had just ran into not 2 minutes ago with the prize being a t5 ticket for a companion of my choice.
“Hmhmhm this calls for a celebration and what better reward than some ice cream now that I’m no longer lactose intolerant.” I chuckled happily putting my phone back in my pocket.
