Chapter 35

(That Same Evening)

The time had come.

After saving and healing the members of the Sasuke Retrieval mission, I had teleported us back to Konoha and dropped the kids off at the hospital before finally reporting to Tsunade.

The blonde had been surprised at my appearance based on my earlier words to her but I had just waved away her concerns and told her I made a deal with the boy’s mother.

After that I made my way back home and spent the rest of the day with the girls with Izumi and Kushina managing to pull away from their parents and spend the remainder of the time with me.

In that time, I also managed to bind and sell all but Tayuya of Orochimaru’s goons and left the girl under Pakura’s care, her being the oldest and most responsible of my girls. I always liked feisty woman and Tayuya fit that role to a T, well that and she was also really hot so sue me.

When the time finally came for us to depart, we gathered in the backyard of the Senju Compound with all close friends or more present. Those included Anko, Kurenai, Yugao, Yakumo who had been shocked at seeing Hanabi alive again and Mei who I had teleported here.

Of course, Anko, Kurenai, Yugao and Yakumo only knew that I was going away on a training trip for a while and not that I was actually going hunting.

“All right everyone, make sure to take care alright and don’t forget to train while I’m away so your skills won’t become rusty.” Not knowing what else to say I just said the first thing that popped into my mind getting a few eyerolls or snorts for my troubles.

“Above all though, please watch out for each other and immediately let me know if something happens.” I continued with a much softer tone now looking everyone in the eye to convey how serious I was.

As if a dam had been broken, I was immediately swarmed by female flesh feeling lips descend upon my face one after another.

When the girls finally calmed down, I found myself lying on the ground looking up at the sky blinking in slight confusion before getting to my feet again.

“Right then.” Coughing into my fist in embarrassment I continued. “Ahem, bye everyone. I’ll see you soon.” Offering everyone a wave goodbye I teleported away ignoring the feelings of amusement and melancholy I could feel from them.

I reappeared on top of Hashirama’s head in the Valley of the End with Velzard, Velgrynd and Veldora joining me a moment later teleporting to my location with the use of Apportation.

“Kuwahahaha finally! I’ve been working on some new moves I want to try based on the sacred texts I’ve read so far.” Not one to hide his emotions, Veldora looked really excited about our upcoming fights. So much so in fact that he completely forgot about the fact that his sisters were now sending him annoyed looks.

‘I think I might need to set apart some time to hang out with Veldora just goofing off and doing regular guy things less he becomes traumatized by his scary siblings.’ Making a mental note to myself about doing that later I addressed everyone.

“Alright everyone. Our first stop is Amegakure (Village Hidden by Rain) where Konan and Nagato are located and possibly the other two as well.” With my orders clear to everyone I took off into the sky and flew in the direction of Amegakure at top speed with the others following close behind me.

(Amegakure, Third POV)

In the tallest tower in the village of Amegakure, a meeting was taking place right this moment between four individuals all wearing the same clothes. A long black cloak with red clouds with grey shinobi pants underneath and shinobi sandals.

“We can’t find any trace of those four. I believe it is safe to assume that they’re dead.” The only one that didn’t look human and instead looked like a humanoid Venus flytrap started the conversation with a gravelly voice.

“So, what are you going to do now Pain? Will you finally realize that Akari Senju is actively targeting us?” The one in an orange spiral mask asked mockingly looking at a man with orange hair, a lot of piercings on his face and most catching of all was the Rinnegan in his eyes.

Not looking bothered by the tone of his voice, the orange-haired man replied. “I will personally take care of him.”

“Hoh, are you sure you even have the power to do that?” The man continued to mock with an angry tone.

“Spare us your words of warning and of fear. They are wasted on us.” A feminine voice spoke up calmly, coming from the blue haired beauty that was standing next to the one known as Pain not looking concerned at all. “Pain’s never lost a single battle.”

Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say as the man in the spiral mask finally lost his temper. “You fools! You truly have no idea what were up against huh? Every day Akari Senju gets stronger and stronger, if we don’t hurry up and kill him now, he will become too strong for us to do anything against!”

“You almost sound as if you were afraid of him.” The blue haired beauty with grey eyes seemed amused at his response even if no emotion showed on her face.

The man visibly grew angered at such a remark as the Sharingan from behind his mask began glowing an ominous red but before anything more could be said Pain suddenly interrupted them looking in a certain direction.

“Someone is disturbing my rain.” Pain narrowed his eyes in concentration. “This chakra…He is strong.”

“It’s him!” The man in the orange mask exclaimed before turning to the Venus flytrap. “Zetsu. Begin searching for him immediately!”

“There’s no need for that.” Pain interrupted again his eyes still focused in the same direction. “Whoever it is, they haven’t moved from their position almost as if taunting us.”

Before anything else could be said a voice suddenly spoke to all four at the same time.

“Well? Are you guys going to come and face me or what? Or should I come to you instead?”

(Normal POV)

“Hmhmhm that should give them a little pause.” I couldn’t help but laugh picturing the expressions on their faces, especially that simp Obito, at them finding out I have the ability to invade their thoughts.

“By the way Akari, who will be my opponent?”

Turning to Veldora I thought about his question for a moment before nodding. “You can take on Nagato and his Six Paths of Pain. That should provide enough entertainment for you.”

Poor bastard, Nagato was basically going to be used as a guinea pig for Veldora to try out all his new ‘moves’ which in reality were all just moves from different anime, manga or games.

“Just make sure to rein in your aura as much as you can alright? We don’t want any monsters spawning here due to your power.” I added in just to be sure as you could never tell with Veldora.

Speaking of monsters spawning because of his aura, back in the cave he had claimed as his own, monsters had been continuously spawning to the point that I had assigned the girls to hunt them every week or so. While they couldn’t really attack us due to the Demiplane laws, the monsters were still good practice for everyone and not to mention the materials that could be harvested from them for crafting later.

“What about me Akari?”

Turning to Velgrynd now who looked ready for battle I smiled nervously since I was about to let her down. “Gryn you can take care of the weird plant dude since you’re the second fastest among us.”

Basically, I was throwing the strongest of the dragon siblings currently at the weakest member since I wanted to be fair and she had already taken out four members earlier today.

As expected, she seemed a bit dejected at her target but nonetheless agreed with her task. “Fiiine but only because you’re asking.”

“I’m guessing my opponent is the girl?”

Finally turning to Velzard at her question I just nodded my head. “Correct. With your abilities, you should be a hard counter for Konan to be honest and you could use this opportunity to test your current abilities.” I suggested helpfully.

Velzard nodded at my suggestion before sending me a small smirk. “I’m guessing I’m not to kill this girl then?”

“At this current point in time, Konan and Nagato haven’t really done anything too bad for me to consider just killing them or selling them.” Rubbing my head, I thought about how to deal with them for a moment before letting out a sigh and deciding to just go with my gut.

“For now, don’t kill her. I will have a talk with them later and decide after that.” I announced and directed my gaze to Veldora again who was paying attention to our conversation since this involved his opponent too. “Veldora, you have nothing to worry about. Your opponent will be using puppets so just do what you want as long as you don’t go overboard.”

“Yosh! That’s what I like to hear!” At my words, Veldora seemed to get even more pumped for the incoming fight that he started shadow boxing with a giant grin on his face.

“They’re here.” I warned everyone feeling a ripple in space down below us where Obito teleported but made it seem like he swam here by jumping out of the water.

“So cool~ You guys were able to recreate the Sandaime Tsuchikage’s jutsu? I’m so jealous!” The man exclaimed making exaggerated motions with his hands.

‘Playing the Tobi card huh?’ I said nothing and simply waited as seconds later 7 figures arrived, six of which all had Rinnegan eyes.

“Hoh, it seems three pests managed to circumvent my eyesight.” Being the technical ‘leader’ of the group, the Deva Path stepped forward with his eyes focused on the dragon siblings floating besides me for a moment before focusing on me.

“Akari Senju. We finally meet. I have hear-”

Whatever he was about to say was lost to the wind as Veldora lost his patience and appeared in front of him sending him flying with a cry of.

“Shoryuken!”

A soft sigh was released to my left coming from Velzard who now had an angry frown on her face. “Haah that idiot. Wait until I get my hands on him…”

Sending a small prayer to Veldora, I focused on the people below us again seeing that they had started to mobilize. “Well, you know what to do Velzard, Gryn.”

After saying that I immediately appeared in front of Obito and grabbed him roughly by the neck before taking off a good distance away ignoring and bypassing his attempts to slip away from me with my superior control over time and space.

And just like that the girls jumped into action, each heading towards their own opponent.

(Veldora vs Pain, Third POV)

“Kuwahahaha what’s wrong little puppet? Don’t tell me that was all it took to take you out? I still have way more moves to try on you.” The tanned man with blonde hair boasted with a prideful tone as he stood floating in the air while looking down at the man, he had just attacked that currently wasn’t moving at all.

A moment later 5 figures surrounded the downed man and one of them quickly went through a few hand seals summoning the King of Hell and throwing the man inside it while being guarded by the other four.

“Ah, so that must be the Naraka Path then. Good to know! Now I know to save you for last so my fun doesn’t end so soon.” In contrary to appearing worried that the enemy had someone capable of restoring back their comrades to full health, the dragon was beyond pleased at the fact.

“Who are you?” Once more restored, the Deva Path asked now looking at his adversary with some caution.

“I’m glad you asked!” Appearing pleased at being asked such a question, the blonde struck a heroic pose with his hands in his hips. “I am the Storm Dragon, Veldora Tempest. Sworn brother of Akari Tempest and your opponent for this battle. Pleased to meet you!”

“Tempest? Dragon?” The old body of Yahiko appeared confused at the introduction before dismissing it with a shake of his head and making his own declaration. “Doesn’t matter what or who you think you are. All will fall at the hands of God.”

“God huh? Kuwahaha it appears that humans no matter the world always have a very high self-importance about themselves.” The blonde shook his head amusingly before a huge smirk grew on his face.

“Let us play for a while then o so called ‘God’.” Immediately after saying that he disappeared again from his opponent’s sight and senses, reappearing in the middle of them with a cry of. “Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!”

(Velzard vs Konan)

Casually freezing the thousands of papers attempting to surround her, Velzard looked at the woman flying in front of her with wings made of paper growing out of her back.

“Fufufu, are you supposed to be an Angel kunoichi-san?” Unable to help herself, Velzard couldn’t help but giggle in amusement at the human pretending to be the same race as her older brother’s little servants.

The woman in front of her remained unfazed at her question and instead of responding, she launched another attack at Velzard only to meet the same fate as the last.

“Well, if you’re not going to talk, I guess I should just end this little game of ours.” Shrugging her shoulders, Velzard smiled at her opponent and muttered. “Eternal World.”

As the name hinted, the skill brought everything in her domain to an absolute halt, locking them in place and nullifying all kinds of attacks. However, due to her loss of power ‘everything in her domain’ was limited at the moment to everything within about 500 meters of her.

The good part about this though, was that even if the skill required an immense amount of energy, thanks to Akari perks that drawback no longer applied to her.

Watching as her opponent became frozen in space, Velzard took her time making her way to the woman before manifesting her Boreal Shroud and ensnaring her.

“See, our ‘battle’ would have lasted longer if you had sated my curiosity little human.” She chastised the woman who could now hear her under her shroud after deactivating her skill.

Only hearing faint muffles in return, Velzard ignored them and directed her gaze Akari’s direction.

(Velgrynd vs Zetsu)

Observing the battle from a good distance away half submerged into the water, was the form of a humanoid Venus flytrap seemingly speaking to itself.

“If Akari Senju defeats Obito and Nagato, won’t our plans be set back by quite a bit?” The white half and consequently the only half that had a mouth, asked his dark half.

“Not necessarily. If he manages to defeat them and claims the Rinnegan for himself, there would be nothing/no one to stop him from hunting down the tailed beasts with the right motivation.” The black half commented in a gravelly voice.

“As if my beloved would ever listen to a momma’s boy.”

Surprised at the new voice coming from behind them, the strange creature immediately attempted to escape by diving under the water only to fail as tendrils seemingly made out of fire wrapped around their form and pulled them out of the water.

“Weaklings.” The now revealed Velgrynd sneered down at the bound creature at her feet.

(Akari vs Obito, Regular POV)

Once I had reached a good distance away from everyone else, I threw the still struggling Obito against the water creating a big splash since I hadn’t been gentle at all.

I then descended slowly to the water myself keeping myself afloat with my chakra and waited for Obito to resurface.

I didn’t have to wait long as I felt a presence jump out of the water a bit behind me. “Whew~ Senju-san sure is as scary as I heard.” Still keeping up with the act, Obito comically wiped his forehead.

“I prefer Tempest actually.” I commented automatically catching the man off guard at the name before continuing.

“Tsk, and drop that little act. It won’t work on me Obito, I can feel your turbulent emotions.” I scoffed in irritation and wanting to throw him even more off balanced than he already was, I assumed Yin Kurama Mode.

The man stayed quiet for a moment before straightening his posture and speaking in his regular voice. “The Kyuubi’s chakra eh. Does that mean you killed Naruto Uzumaki?” He commented curiously dismissing my comment about his true name.

“Why does that matter to a dead man?” I shook my head in dismissal before a thought entered my mind and I let a smirk grace my face. “Before you die though, let me show you something interesting~”

The man tensed at my words and watched silently as my eyes suddenly changed. First taking the pattern of a regular Sharingan then merging to form my EMS. Ignoring the increasing wariness I could feel from the man, my eyes changed for a final time to form the Rinnegan finally getting a clear reaction from Obito.

“How!? How did you obtain such eyes?” The man demanded in an angry tone hiding the nervousness and slight fear I could feel from within.

Hearing the fear in his voice, I couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement “Hmhmhm I guess I’m just that guy~”

‘I slightly regret not reviving or buying a copy of Rin and rubbing it in his face but that’s a dangerous road to go on. I was never that much to Netori anyways, I much prefer wooing woman the normal way.’
