Chapter 57: Bigger Monsters
A brief silence descended over the area due to the new arrivals while I silently signaled Jibril to stand back for now, curious to what might happen.
The purple-haired woman, clearly the leader between the two devil women, briefly glanced at Jibril and myself before sneering at the Seraph.
“Raphael, today is the day I finally rip those precious white wings of yours off your back before killing you!” she declared strongly as her aura rose a fairly good amount in preparation for battle.
The now-revealed Raphael, who had caused my Astra to focus her attention on him, met her in kind as his holy aura slowly increased as well.
“You have tried and failed before, Leviathan, and you will fail again today,” Raphael declared calmly as a sword made of light materialized in his hand.
Like the now also revealed Leviathan, Raphael only cast a small glance at me but had given Jibril a much longer look that went completely ignored by her before he focused his attention on Leviathan.
My attention, though, had been focused on who I was pretty sure was Runeas, who had been staring back at me since her arrival with a tilt of her head and curious eyes while she cutely grabbed her chin with her hand.
In return, I cheekily smiled at her and gave her a small wave, causing her to blink twice before adopting a smile of her own and waving back at me cheerily.
“Runeas! Stop flirting with the monkey and kill the others while I deal with Raphael!” Leviathan declared with an angry tone, causing Runeas to drop her cheery expression and nod stiffly with a blank façade.
‘Monkey, huh?’ I thought in amusement, finding it somewhat funny that that’s how the Leviathan referred to me without knowing a thing about me.
Her arrogance was showing, and it also revealed to me that she didn’t seem to be particularly fond of humans, which made sense, I suppose, for the time period we were in.
Unfortunately, there was someone besides me who didn’t take very kindly to the insult, and she made her presence known instantly and explosively.
With her aura skyrocketing in size and power, easily dwarfing Raphael and Leviathan’s combined, all attention fell on her as she slowly trembled with her head slightly facing down.
“A monkey?” Jibril whispered in disbelief before a small and unhinged laugh escaped her lips. “Huehehehe, I’m very sorry but I must be hearing things…”
As Jibril’s head rose, her glowing golden cross-shaped pupils were revealed to everyone as the halo on her head started rotating faster, but the most damning of all was the completely murderous look she was sending Leviathan along with the killing intent to go with it that caused several of the weaker angels to pass out to the side.
“Did a disgusting and disease-ridden vermin just refer to my Lord and Master as a monkey!?” she asked, her volume increasing as she spoke, with the last word shouted for all to hear and her Holy aura being unleashed on the surroundings.
Jibril’s power and actions brought several reactions from the group that I silently filed away.
On the Angel side, the remaining Angels who hadn’t passed out due to Jibril’s killing intent, Abdiel and Raphael included of course, were looking at Jibril with wide and astonished eyes.
It seemed they couldn’t quite grasp that a completely unknown Angel was releasing a Holy Power that matched and easily surpassed the literal Seraph standing before them in both purity and strength.
As for the Seraph himself, Raphael, similar to his siblings, was looking at Jibril with wide eyes. “…Who is she?” he muttered to himself.
Then on the Devil’s side, Leviathan was now looking at Jibril with wide eyes while she slowly took a few steps back in fear, clearly intimidated at how strong Jibril really was, all the while wincing in pain by the strength of the Holy Light.
“Is she some secret weapon created by Him!?” she exclaimed with gritted teeth.
Runeas, being weaker than Leviathan, was feeling the effects of the Holy Magic even worse as ugly burn marks showed on her fair skin while she grimaced in pain.
“L-Lady Leviathan, perhaps we should retreat,” Runeas suggested with a painful wince as she retreated even further.
Jibril was the one who answered, though, as she brought her hands together as if in a prayer.
“No one is escaping! I will make sure to completely erase you from existence so my Master doesn’t have to look at your face ever again!” Jibril declared, and a second later a barrier materialized around Runeas and Leviathan, causing them to become startled as she began chanting.
“I lift this prayer up to God.”
As soon as those words left her mouth, escape became impossible for Leviathan and Runeas. Like Jibril had said, Disintegration was a type of Holy attack that had the power to erase everything both physical and spiritual and that traveled at the speed of light.
Once that attack hit, there would be literally nothing left of the two women.
“I desire the power of the spirit.”
At that moment, golden magic circles started appearing above and below the captured Runeas and Leviathan, who were looking around in panic and despair.
“Release us! Do you have any idea who you’re messing with!?” came the desperate shouts from Leviathan as she banged against the barrier uselessly.
“I don’t want to die…” Runeas whispered with teary eyes as she looked straight up where the spell was forming, with despair in her lavender eyes.
“I beg thee, heed my wish.”
“Put an end to all!” Jibril shouted the second-to-last incantation with a triumphant look on her face.
“Disin—Owieee~”
Before she could finish the chant and kill them, however, I figured it was time for me to step in, so I teleported to her side and in one move cancelled the spell and lightly karate-chopped Jibril on the head.
“I think that’s enough excitement for today, Jibril,” I stated calmly, causing said girl to look up at me with a pout on her face and big crocodile tears in her eyes.
“Buuut Masteeer~ That whore was disrespecting you!” Jibril whined childishly with a bigger pout as she massaged her head while pointing at a pale-faced and on-her-ass woman who was currently hyperventilating.
“Are you going against my orders, Jibril?” I asked with a slightly serious expression as I narrowed my eyes at her.
Jibril’s face immediately went from pouty and childish to panicked and fearful as she dropped to her knees before me with her head facing the ground.
“Of course not, Master! Your word is absolute in my eyes! I merely wanted to punish that sow for disrespecting you and got a bit overexcited. It won’t happen again,” Jibril declared with a solemn and serious tone.
Shaking my head at her over-the-top antics, I couldn’t help but let out a fond sigh and let my hand come to rest atop her head and patted it gently.
“Relax, I’m not mad at you. Just try to work on your bloodlust in the future. Remember that there are some things that can be solved without violence,” I said reassuringly with a smile, causing her to instantly look up at me with worshipful and shining eyes.
“I will endeavor to do my very best, Master~ Hihihi, what a truly understanding Master I have~” Jibril declared, now back to her usual adoring and fanatical self.
I then turned to the Devils, who were still on the ground after the scare Jibril had put them through, and took one step their way before instantly appearing before them, causing them to scurry back in a startled manner.
Of course, with how physics worked in this universe, they both somehow ended up flashing me, revealing that Leviathan was going commando, showing me her hairless mound, while Runeas only had a tiny piece of cloth, bandage-sized, covering her also hairless pussy.
‘D-Did she somehow invent the bandaid panty thing?’ I silently thought incredulously for a moment before dismissing it a second later.
‘Of course she did. We’re in anime tiddy world where breasts bounce in an exaggerated manner and even the slightest of winds would reward you with a shot at their panties,’ I rolled my eyes slightly in exasperation.
“Sorry about the scare,” I began casually with a friendly smile, taking the women by surprise as they blinked at me. “You’ll have to forgive Jibril; she can get a bit overprotective over me.”
“Anyways, my name is Caius Aurelius. Mind if I ask you a blunt question?” I continued, still with a pleasant tone as they blinked at me again.
That blink soon turned into a flinch as Jibril landed beside me but didn’t say anything to the women other than slightly glaring at them as if daring them to say something disrespectful again before dismissing them when I glanced her way.
It took a moment for them to come to terms that they were still somehow alive, a bit more at the fact that the person who almost killed them was now acting demurely unlike her previous self, before what I said finally registered in their minds.

With Runeas
It was a mistake coming here.
Runeas was deeply regretting trying to butter up to the most agreeable of the Satans, though not by much, by volunteering to help back her up against one of the Seraphs.
It was not like Runeas expected to fight one of those monsters, of course, and she just figured she would deal with the lackeys while Lady Leviathan handled the Seraph on her own.
When they arrived at their destination, it was to the sight of a literal massacre, with body parts and the blood of her brethren scattered all over the place while the Angels seemed to be unharmed.
Since Raphael didn’t seem to be the one responsible, having arrived at the same time they did, Runeas turned her eyes to the curious individuals who didn’t seem to be part of the group, even if one of them was an Angel, which just made things more mysterious.
The Angel in question was definitely different from every other Angel Runeas had seen before, as instead of their wings coming out of their upper back, this one’s were coming out of her lower back for some reason.
Then there was her Halo, that instead of being the usual bland of gold and glowing, this one instead appeared to move as if it had a mind of its own, first going from the regular position on top of her long pink head, another oddity among that race, to the side of her head, and this one being made of several colors and having a weird shape.
It was the eyes, though, that gave Runeas pause, as overlooking the fact that they were golden with cross-shaped pupils, it was the feeling coming from them that caused Runeas to instinctually compare them to Lucifer.
They were full of contradictions. One moment releasing enough bloodlust to match the Satans and knock out the weaklings, then the next turning obsessively devoted and full of happiness when they gazed at the man standing next to her.
The only thing missing from them was the madness she had come to associate with Lucifer and the other Satans, but this all left a big question mark floating in her head.
Why the hell had that woman not fallen yet?
Runeas had personally seen Angels fall for very slight offenses, and having that much darkness in her eyes would definitely count as a big no-no to the Big Guy upstairs.
If that weird and possibly crazy Angel unsettled Runeas a fair bit, it was nothing compared to the sheer feeling of dread she unconsciously felt at merely looking at the handsome white-haired teen standing next to her.
The weird part was that Runeas felt literally nothing coming from him, and under normal circumstances she would have completely dismissed him as just a handsome human.
There was just something nagging her in the back of her mind, telling her that there was more to him than meets the eye.
Trying to find if there was anything special about him, Runeas might have stared a bit too long, not that she minded since he was just her type, that he seemed to catch her gaze and looked back at her with a completely relaxed expression before even having the audacity to wave at her.
Finding his actions cute, she had waved back at him while noting in the back of her mind that despite being in the middle of a Seraph and a Satan about to clash, he seemed to be as relaxed as can be, as if nothing could bother him.
That was when everything literally went to Hell, excuse her pun.
Lady Leviathan just had to open her mouth and insult the cute human, causing the obviously infatuated Angel to suddenly become apocalyptic with rage and unleash her true power on the surroundings.
It was unreal.
The seemingly two-winged Angel suddenly grew another pair as her aura and magic skyrocketed and eclipsed both Raphael and Lady Leviathan in strength.
Then, using Holy Magic that she had never before seen or heard about, but strong enough that merely standing beneath its light was enough to burn her skin, her life almost came to an end.
Runeas knew without a shadow of a doubt that if that handsome and mysterious boy hadn’t stepped in, she along with Lady Leviathan would have died today.
As she fell on her ass while staring blankly at the teen that, with a few words, caused the terrifying Angel to literally grovel before him, Runeas realized why he didn’t seem to be concerned at all.
He was a monster as well.
After all, monsters only obey other bigger and stronger monsters. It was the law of the world.
When he appeared before them, literally going from standing quite a distance away to being in front of them, Runeas had let out an embarrassing sound as she fell on her back, not caring at all that she had flashed him.
Or the fact that her new underwear, an idea that she had come up with herself, was now suspiciously wet and about to fall off from her arousal.
Runeas just managed to hear what he had to say but had to reboot her brain in order to answer properly to his question.
‘Caius? Isn’t that a human name?’ she inwardly wondered as she sat back down on her ass once more, uncaring that she was still flashing him.
“O-Of course. No problem at all! What did you want to ask, S-Sir Caius?” she rapidly spoke before ending in an unsure note, not sure how to properly address him so she wouldn’t offend him or the Angel slightly behind him who was looking at her and Lady Leviathan intensely as if daring them to try anything.
She honestly didn’t hear if Lady Leviathan said anything but became pleased when he didn’t seem offended at all.
“Caius is just fine,” said Caius responded calmly and with a deep baritone that did nothing to stop her arousal from growing underneath her clothes.
Not that she could do anything about it. Runeas and all Devil kind were literally made to be a species attracted to power. If anyone was to blame it would be Lucifer and Lilith for creating them this way.
“As to my question, forgive me for being rude but do either of you have children perhaps?” Caius asked with a curious expression on his handsome face.
Blinking at his seemingly random question, Runeas didn’t know how to respond for a while as she wondered what was the reason for asking them that of all things.
“U-Umm? What?”
