Attached is a zip containing the first book and its illustrations.  Hopefully you'll like having everything in one place!

EDIT: I've made a version containing the illustrations within the pdf itself alongside one without, so you can take your pick of which you'd like.  There is still the folder of standalone illustrations so you're not missing out on anything.  I also corrected a couple minor typos and some formatting issues I hadn't seen prior, my apologies!

Thanks for providing the book in this format. It's much nicer reading the story this way. I appreciate the illustrations as good-resolution files, but it would have been nice to see them embedded in the PDF.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can do that. I wasn't sure if I should try that because of how large the resulting file would be.

No doubt the file would be huge. The .PNG files you've given us are great quality and I am happy to see them at their best. In the PDF, You can get satisfactory results at a big savings if you were to convert them to JPEG format. As an experiment, I converted page1.png with a quality setting of 75% and reduced the file size from 708KB to 105KB. I'm not saying that is what you should do. You may not be happy with the result. It's only a suggestion. At any rate, I know it would be a great deal of work to embed over 50 drawings into your document.
