Recovered: Outlines For, “The Case of The Stolen Bird”. (Patreon)

After going through my gigantic library of notebooks through the years, I find another tucked-away outline for one of our more unique episodes, “The Case of The Stolen Bird” (04/26/2018). The synopsis was pretty short and sweet, but it made for an especially twisty episode.

In one of many episodes to demonstrate how the NCR isn’t always the good guy, Walter faces this case alone while Bunny is sick, and meets the beloved character, Wendy Booth. Wendy (played by Alicia Condrey) intended to receive plans for a plane that she and The Subsequent Pilot’s Club (SPC) were planning to fix, however, Walter finds the messenger dead. Initially meant to retrieve the prints for the NCR, Walter digs further and discovers that the NCR has been trying to sabotage the SPC to obtain the powerful craft, under the guise of working together. As it happens, Camry rejects the easy money, forcing the NCR to attack the landing strip to take it by force. Luckily, Wendy and the SPC fly out safely.

What’s interesting about this outline is that I planned to locate the SPC at Jean Skydiving, between Goodsprings & Primm, but that was later switched out to Searchlight Airport because it made more sense. Furthermore, I tried to get ahold of Alicia Condrey for a return of her character in the past, but have sadly not heard back.
