Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a proper update — and finally, some genuinely good news.

The last remaining data is currently being transferred to the new system and should be in place within the next few hours. That includes the latest progress on all current comic projects up to Sunday evening, along with my DAZ Studio and Blender files, as well as my Marvelous Designer / CLO clothing assets.

I’ve also already completed the first rendering benchmark tests, and the results were a full success.

That said, I’ve learned not to trust a rebuild too early. Even when everything looks good, the final issues usually show up right at the finish line. So tomorrow will be dedicated to intensive testing and final optimization before I fully return to production.

And now for the part I’ve been looking forward to sharing:

This is the new machine that will be handling my rendering work from here on out.

Just as importantly, I want to say this clearly: this system would not have been possible without your continued support. I’m especially thankful to my long-term active supporters. You helped make this step possible. And yes - to be completely honest - my bank also played its part. I had to take out a loan for this build, which I hope to have paid off within the next one or two years.

The new system:

MotherboardASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II

CPUAMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5965WX24 cores / 48 threads, 3.8 GHz

CPU CoolingAlphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora 360 AiO360 mm, D-RGB

Main Storage3x Corsair MP600 Pro XT 8 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD

Backup StorageSeagate IronWolf Pro 16 TB HDD

Memory2x Corsair Vengeance RGB RT DDR4-3600 CL18128 GB quad kits - all in all 256 GB RAM

GPUROG Astral LC GeForce RTX 509032 GB GDDR7 OC Edition, liquid-cooled

Power SupplyASUS ROG Thor Titanium III 1600W80+ Titanium, PCIe 5.1, modular

Everything is housed in a white Corsair iCUE 7000X RGB full tower and kept at a comfortable 32°C with three additional Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140 mm fans on top of the three Corsair fans already installed.

Following a very helpful recommendation from Mr. Phoenyxx yesterday, I also added an APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 VA. Considering that both the hard drive failure a few weeks ago and the old motherboard + CPU failure were caused by power spikes during the night, that extra protection was absolutely necessary.

I’ll be honest, though: I still need a little time to get used to the RGB lighting. Last night I seriously considered putting a disco ball next to the tower just so the whole setup would fully commit to the aesthetic.

Jokes aside, this system is an absolute monster, and I’m genuinely excited about what it will make possible. If everything continues to go as planned, it should allow me to produce highest-quality renders in a fraction of the time going forward.

I still can’t promise that regular uploads will already resume next week, so I’m asking for a little more patience while I finish the final setup and testing.

But we are very close now.

Thank you again for your support, your patience, and for helping make a machine like this possible.

Best regards,Jim aka Amaz2k12

But are you the same beast and yet a different animal? - Kobe Bryant

I have no idea what that means, but yes - absolutely. ^^

Mr. Phoenyxx

WOW! That thing really is a monster! AWESOME! I can't wait to see what you do with that beast! :D
