Another Update and First Results (Patreon)

Hi everyone,
At last, all of the data is now on the new system — old renders, image files, additional software, and a lot more.
So this morning, after finishing the benchmark tests, I started the first actual render attempts... and failed spectacularly.
The new beast wanted one more dramatic entrance before agreeing to do its job.
After checking the numbers, I started to worry that the CPU liquid cooling might not be working properly. So I opened the system up again, checked the sensors, and rearranged cables and sensor placement. But none of that solved it.
Right when I was already considering replacing the liquid cooling with a regular air cooler, I changed the radiator settings — and suddenly, everything worked. Three test runs, not a single crash.
I also ran a monitoring log to get the exact system values, and the conclusion is this: the liquid cooling is working, but the fans ramp up to maximum power almost immediately. So at the moment, I’m basically sitting next to a small wind tunnel, which is... less than ideal.
That means I still need to keep working on optimization, but I wanted to give you another progress update and also share the first test render with you.
This first test render was done in 4K with a simple setup and took around 20 minutes to complete — so it’s still just an early result, but finally a real one.
