Comic #133: Mana Berries (Patreon)

Man, this joke might have been completely lost to the sands of time if it weren't for TBC Classic. Even still, it's a pretty dated reference.

In TBC there were cooking dailies that would rotate between different gathering quests. The one referenced in the comic required you to harvest Mana Berries way out in Netherstorm which was not a convenient location. Another possible daily required you to harvest Clefthoof meat, hence the clefthoof in the final panel with the shit-eating grin.

The gnome in this comic was a guild member that hounded me CONSTANTLY for a cameo in the comic. I kept telling him if I found an opportunity I would do it, but I wasn't going to shoehorn in a cameo. This is where I eventually put him. I think maybe I lived vicariously through Gigz in this one.
