Comic #134: In the Sun (Patreon)

I really leaned into Donald being a clown in this one. This is also a good example of how my early comics involved a lot of extra panels with lots of exposition and dialogue. I think using Donald in the background here was actually a good way to keep those frames interesting.

I also had no sense of consistency as far as the size of each panel from one comic to the next. This comic's panels are especially wide, probably to fit in Narya on the lounger and Krom and Donald all in one frame. I think nowadays I would likely have had Narya take up the entire width of the frame, and had Krom standing over him. Not sure I would be able to fit in Donald though.

This was a good punchline. It adds more to the earlier comics with Narya in prison. I wonder if it was inspired by readers on the forums telling me Narya could just hearth out in those earlier comics. The answer is yes, he's just an idiot.
