Comic #932: With Friends Like These... (Patreon)

I had severe writer's block leading up to this one. I sat for a couple hours just trying to think of something and came up with nothing. I had ideas for a quest for Greatfather Winter, I had a concept where someone tracked something strange on the tracking dropdown menu (couldn't come up with what), and then finally I had the idea to have a friendship faction with an evil NPC.

At first this comic was going to reuse Cye Co'path from #810. He was going to give Keydar the quests shown above, and then in the final panel, Xal'atath was going to say something like "Teach me, master". It suddenly came to me that having her as the quest giver in the first place worked much better, and then I could just have Anduin and Khadgar remark that they were doomed.

You can still see the similarities between this one and 810, with Xal'atath's posture and expression.

I've made dozens comics illustrating heroes following psychopathic tasks with zero empathy simply because they were quest requirements. I felt like this one was a bit more of a fresh take, just because it's using the existing lore and mechanics to make some silly commentary.
