Comic #933: Who Needs Enemies (Patreon)

I felt like after last week's comic, there were still some joke opportunities left behind, especially on the Anduin/Khadgar front. I also had a lot of commenters mentioning they would kill for Khadgar's chair as a mount. I realized I had to use that for a comic.

My initial ideas involved Khadgar as the quest giver in this comic. The problem was the chair joke became a little obvious. Also, with him giving up his own chair, it kills a bit of the humor. When I thought of using Anduin it became a lot funnier to me, especially when I realized I could put khadgar in the background sitting on the floor.

By good fortune, last week's comic also had the first half of an Idiom for a title, so it gave me the opportunity to use the other half for this week's comic. It makes it look like the two-parter was intentional (it wasn't).

In the middle of writing this commentary post I actually went back and made another change to the comic. I had initially had an epic toy reward in Anduin's wares in panel 3. It was just called "Broken Toy", but I realized it was distracting from the chair in the final panel. I decided to add another wrap recolor (the Chartreuse one). This way the chair in his wares in the final panel is more distinct.
