Comic #936: The Best Spec (Patreon)

This started off as a trading post comic. Originally Keydar was going to discover something cool in the trading post and say, "Wait till everyone in raid sees this!" then it would cut to the entire DLC gang wearing the same thing.

I honestly just didn't feel that idea was funny enough, and I sat around for a bit just trying to think of alternatives. In the end I decided I wanted something wholesome, thought of Keydar discovering a pirate thing, and the rest just kind of came to me.

I really liked the idea of revisiting Keydar's pirate roleplay from #911. That comic ended up being one of my recent favorites. I just really like the wholesome aspect of Keydar choosing class fantasy over anything else. It's a departure from how I used to portray the character, but it's more in line with how I play the game now anyway.

Also I love using pirate talk.
