Comic #939: Pathfinder (Patreon)

I initially wanted to make a comic with the same theme as last week's. Keydar was going to be falling and try to use grappling hook only to get "No path available" and die anyway. However, after I went into Undermined, I wanted so badly to grappling hook everywhere but I was doomed to climb the stairs like the rest of the peasants. So I decided to make it standalone.

Probably not surprising to learn that 90% of my time drawing this comic was spent on the backgrounds. Usually I reserve at most one complicated background per comic but this time I had to do three. I'll probably find a use for these backgrounds again in the future.

The original dialogue in panel 3 was, "LOOKS LIKE I PICKED THE RIGHT SPECIALIZATION!". However, after finishing most of the comic, I realized it would have a stronger connection to the punchline if I had him specifically denigrate stair use.
