Hoping this one is relatable. Every time I get a new cloak I forget to add the goblin glider to it and inevitably fall to my death.

It suddenly occurs to me... Is go-go-gadget even a recognizable idiom these days? I don't know how well Inspector Gadget pop culture references have endured.

I purposefully modeled this comic off of #717. I liked the idea that Keydar was doing the exact same task as Nyte, but it failed because he had a new cloak.

Originally the concept behind this one was kind of inverted. In the final version we start with Keydar jumping and trying to glide and the end reveal is he has a new cloak that was not enchanted. In the initial version I had us starting with Keydar getting a new cloak then jumping off a ledge and dying. The end reveal was he was trying to glide and forgot his cloak wasn't enchanted.

In order for the punchline to land I needed to communicate two things, one that he was trying to use his cloak glider, and two, that his cloak was new and therefore unenchanted. In the first version of my comic I felt like there was too much exposition necessary in that final panel. In the new version I could make it clear with the "Go-go gadget glider cloak"

You can enchant a cloak with gliding?!?! I have goblin gliders in the same toolbar slot on all my characters, and I click that if I'm in a bind. Never thought I could put it on a cloak. (Of course... sensible people all play druids, so it's not a problem!)

I get and enjoy go go gadget, but I'm also old, like played vanilla while at university old.
