Comic #954: The Once and Future Alt (Patreon)

I initially considered making this one from Anduin's point of view. He was going to log out, pick an alt, etc. Ultimately I decided there was too much I wanted to do, and not enough frames for one strip. So I may continue with this theme next week.

I also knew that if I was going to show Anduin in his character select screen, I needed to have a lot of ideas for his alts, and I don't think I was ready for that yet. I'll let it sit for a week and see what I come up with, or if any of you all have ideas feel free to share!

I do know that one joke I had in mind that I might use next week is having "Varian (ghost)" be an alt. We'll see. I would need the plot to go somewhere interesting if I was going to do it.

Having characters with a huge intelligence disparity can make exposition work really easily sometimes. You have one character ask a completely inane question to a smarter character and in the process you lay down the entire premise of the comic. In this case, NPC's having alt accounts. Nyte's outrage also allows me to communicate to the viewer that, yes, this concept is ridiculous, but just go with it.
