I knew I wanted to make a comic about player housing. I made a whole list of potential ideas, but this was the first one that came to me. I like the idea that many of us (myself included) have no problem sinking dozens of hours into a pretend world and meanwhile some of those same aspects of our actual world are a disaster.

I considered choosing some other characters for this particular comic, especially the final panel. At one point I had thought about using Douche and showing some awful pigsty at the end, but I decided to just stick with tradition and show myself at my computer and make myself look like a giant slob.

For the final panel I decided to keep basically the same pose from #796. It was basically the same artwork just with trash piled everywhere. There's something about the Gollum-like pose that feels really authentic.

Totally unrealistic; there's no way you'd have a lamp that still has a lampshade.

I'm not sure what to do with Nyte smiling at the camera on the last panel. Is she looking at actual you? at us? is that a good or bad smile? Will I die tonight?

If I clean the floor in virtual home ..... it will stay clean. If I clean the floor in real life, I got to do the same again in a week! It's a scam!

Gollum/gargoyle pose enjoyers unite! Also I like how you apparently have a mesh office chair like me. I've had one of those giant gaming chairs before, never really got along with it.
