Comic #975: Level the Playing Field (Patreon)

It's been nearly five years since I did an Illidan comic. Initially I was going to just use some generic boss, maybe even Garrosh or something, but in the end I settled on using Illidan because I needed the over-the-top theatrics. I felt if he was super theatrical and angsty in the first half of the comic and then in the end he's giddy and excited about housing it would make for a better punchline.

I also struggled for a bit trying to figure out what he would be excited about in the final panel. I knew it had to be something that made it obviously housing related, but originally he was going to say something like, "Look! You can change the table sizes!" This felt a little too generic for me, I wanted something more personal to the character. Wall-mounted glaives worked.
