This one still feels particularly relevant. Maybe not necessarily with an escort quest, but just getting distracted from one task to the next. I feel like it happens in most games.

Poor Keydar still hasn't re-learned engineering since the Horace event. I don't remember if I intentionally kept him as an herbalist as a reference to that comic or not. My gut says, probably? I could have also just had herbalism at that time in-game. I don't think many of the character professions in comic are particularly consistent over the years. Other than Narya being an Engineer of course.

Dr. noodle is a reference to this comic that I made ages ago as part of my Stonemaker Argument website. This was a secondary website I did a few comics on for just a couple of years. Some of the art on my second website was updated a few years after this comic was published, in case you're confused why Dr. Noodle looks better drawn and doesn't use Comic Sans, etc. You can see the original art style further down the page when the volunteer comes in.

I completely forgot I had used Dr. Noodle in DLC. You'll probably recognize Dr. Noodle's time machine as the same one that Narya uses in later comics. I'd love to pretend I used Dr. Noodle as a clever cross-reference between my two comics, but realistically, I probably just needed a random NPC, and didn't want to have to draw them.
