From the date you can see I did this one in a timely manner.

I started to look up this achievement to talk about it here, and realized it doesn't exist anymore. I can't even find it on TBC wowhead. Do any readers still play classic and know if this is still a thing? Do they even do seasonal events on classic? I have no idea.

Thankfully I found an old guide from 2009 on wowhead and found this, which should hopefully make the comic make more sense.

It looks like it became this achievement. Which then got removed entirely in 2024.

The whole joke here is that Narya didn't really care about mending Miji's heart, he just wanted the achievement.

I remember the impetus behind this comic. I was doing the Love is in the Air event and was trying to get the heartmender achievement. As I was doing it I found it funny that I was going around mending hearts when in reality I didn't care at all about the people in question, let alone know who they were. So I played out in my mind how the mechanics of the event would look if the players were actually experiencing the emotions of the event, and it ended up with what you see.

The perfume at the start is an item from the event as well.

I find it interesting that Miji goes for a pigtailed gnome, when eventually we learn his mother was also a pigtailed gnome. How freudian.
