Comic #197: The Secret Meeting (Patreon)

Usually I really enjoy my Kobold comics but this one just feels odd. Was I intending this comic to connect to the upcoming NPC arc? I have no idea. It feels a bit out of place. I think I was just trying to crank one out and wasn't feeling particularly inspired. Maybe I'm being too harsh.

I feel like I wanted to do something with kobolds but I don't know that I really ended up with anything that interesting. I also think this one should have been underground rather than in some random house. I think I just reused the interior background from #160.

I always liked pushing the kobold lore, especially years later with #773. The one part I wish I explored more was the whole "YOU DIE NOW" aspect when her candle is gone. The idea of a bunch of cultist kobolds sacrificing their fellow members for losing their candle sounds fun to explore. Especially if said candle was lost because of a hero stealing it.
