Comic #201: Hungry Sally (Patreon)

Miji on Sally in the final panel was a meta joke on the banner I was using for the website up until then:

This was of course originally based on the first panel from comic #35.

I used this comic as an opportunity to update the banner for a while. Which became this for several years:

This arc is very similar to the NPC rebellion arc and I often confuse the two in my head. In both cases Keydar loses his gear. Though I like the naked Keydar throwaway joke here from Miji.

I always enjoyed these arcs where I broke a game system and tried to work out how players would work through it. The idea that mounts aren't really NPCs came out of that.

This is a good a time as any to mention this little "bug", but now and then, especially in older comics, you might have noticed non-white bats on a character's tabard in one panel. Like miji in the final here:

The reason this happens is the way in which I color in characters in my comics. I often go color by color. So I would color in all of Miji's skin first in all the panels, then go back and color in his hair on all the panels, and so on. Eventually I would go through and color in all the tabard bats white, but I would miss one. This would result in the bat being transparent, and the background panel would show through it.
