I had the punchline for this comic before the premise. I originally thought of Gigz sliding ground clutter down to 1 and having Narya disappear, but I couldn't think what the premise would be leading up to it. So I logged into the game and opened the system settings looking for inspiration. When I saw projected textures it clicked. That setting is the bane of my existence.

I have had situations where I've played for months at a time not realizing I had projected textures off, wondering what was hitting me in dungeons. It gets turned off by default when you drop your system settings down below a certain threshold.

When I want a really specific expression/pose from my characters in a comic, I'll often take a selfie making the expression or pose and then use it as a model. These pictures usually involve me in my pajamas, unshaven, and generally embarrassing, so I don't like to share them, but I'll make an exception this time for my Patrons.

I used this selfie for Krom's expression in panel #2.

I had to flip the image after taking it to match Krom's facing. Hence the ring being on the wrong hand.

Oh dear. I just started trying to do m+ and higher raid content, and I thought to turn my raid-only graphics down to keep from lagging/stuttering out when all the flashy goes off (damned paladins). Now I have to make sure I can see the shit on the ground (which may have been why I wasn't noticing the sanguine pools until my GTFO was yelling at me). *sigh*
