Comic #742: The Favorite (Patreon)

Oh how our happy dopey gryphon has fallen. 

 Hopefully the parrot is dopey enough to make a suitable replacement. 

This one started off with more dialogue and story, but I just kept breaking it down into a more and more simple format and ended up with what you see now.

Originally I had Keydar opening a box, pulling the new mount out excitedly, making it his new favorite, and then a final panel with a homicidal looking gryphon saying he was gonna kill the parrot.

I then came up with the idea of revealing the gryphon behind the mount window instead of having the final dialogue. This meant that to make the joke work, I would want the gryphon to have been there the entire time, making the initial panel start with the mount window open rather than on Keydar opening a box.
