Aww, is this Gigz's first foray into cannibalism? The beginning of an era. I feel like I haven't made enough comics involving cooked druids in animal form. This one and #122 come to mind.

I try so hard nowadays to have as little extraneous dialogue as possible in my comics. So it's interesting to look back at the old stuff and see the first seven panels of a comic be completely unnecessary. I could have started at panel 8 and gotten the same joke across.

Early on I was more concerned with quantity than quality. I felt that if I had less than a certain number of panels, readers would think I was being lazy.

There's at least two "I TOLD YOU NOT TO SHIFT" Gigz comics and I love it! (one other was the druid shifting while in a jar)

Ferdy!? That is a name I’ve not heard in a long long time. 😀

Think of them panels as stablishing scenes. They're not necessary to the joke, but they help the reader to better understand your protagonists.
