Comic #754: Eye on the Prize (Patreon)

This was originally going to be Keydar instead of Gigz but he's been the main character for three of the last four comics and I wanted a little more variety.

I went through a lot of different quests before I settled on the whole eyeball theme. Originally it read "Saliva Extractor", hence why it looks like a syringe. I had to adapt the syringe a bit to make it fit better as an eyeball extractor.

I changed the quest because I couldn't think of a good name for the quest and comic that was saliva related. The original title for the comic was "World Quest" and then "Step by Step", but I ended up settling with the same name as the world quest. It also allowed me to circle back in the end and have vision restored to the animals, making her entire quest line essentially pointless.

The eye theme ended up working pretty well as it allowed me to create the background joke with the poor blind boar walking into a rock. It also gave me a couple extra gags for the quest NPC names in the final panel: "Eye'ar'el" and "Ojo".
