Comic #753: Eye of the Raid Leader (Patreon)

For readers that no longer play, this is parodying the Eye of the Jailer mechanic from The Maw.

This was such a good premise I was shocked when it came to me. I was originally trying to figure out a good comic based on the actual Eye of the Jailer, involving a character being pestered in the Maw. When it occurred to me that the Eye could be adapted to the raid environment I got really excited at the potential ideas for the tiers. However, knowing you have a good premise can be a bit stressful, because you don't want to screw it up.

Originally Keydar was the failing raider, but I decided it was better for Donald, especially with him being able to be completely oblivious to his surroundings. I also tried to make the name of the tiers match the names in the actual Eye of the Jailer mechanic. The final panel originally was not animated, but I felt as I was finishing up the comic, that I needed something a little more to show that Donald was at 5/5.
